  The iPad version has a map feature that seems to be missing. Side by side this iPhone version is not close. Major improvements with map navigation. I enjoy it eve more in the iPhone. More mobility!

  I'd use Tripadvisor more to find restaurants but the search filters are too limited. For example, you can't use Tripadvisor to search for a place that serves alcohol, or not. You can't search for, say, a romantic ambience. A restaurant may have a 5 star rating but not be the type of restaurant you want - there must be a better way to sort them into genres. Then there is the issue that contributors tend to either rave or rant with their ratings: there never seems to be an "average" restaurant, even though many are. I enjoy writing reviews for Tripadvisor but there is mo way to edit them; I can't even fix a typo error let alone change my review later when I gain more knowledge about a place. So I use Yelp! More often. Refine it, Tripadvisor. You'll never get bigger 'til you do.

  I use this app a lot. Was working fine until about a week a go when it suddenly switched to Spanish. I deleted it and reinstalled it. Last night, it gets stuck and won't respond on a blank page. What happened to this? It was a great app and now it's junk.

  Unlike Yelp, Trip Advisor will not pull reviews in an effort to make more $ by selling them back to the business owner. It's inconceivable that such a practice is legal. Back to Trip Advisor. I can always count on finding good, honest recommendations for restaurants, hotels and fun activities. And people like me who love to travel have the best perspective on such things; you can find us here! I wouldn't use anything else!

  When searching for all area attractions, you always have to use your current location otherwise, providing a city either returns no results or only a few results. This is highly annoying because I would like to review area attractions in other cities. The app is useless if I can't do that.

  Whether I am in my hometown or in Singapore with my hubby for business this is the app to use. I always find the best restaurant and obviously stay away from the ones with horrible reviews. I also always get the best hotels. Finding what to do in a foreign land is no problem with this app. Love love love it.

  Much better than yelp! I use this app all the time on the go when we want to try new restaurants outside of our neighborhood. I found out last year yelp will remove negative posts when disputed making their reviews not very reliable. I haven't yet tried posting reviews from the app yet but I will on my next new restaurant visit

• Decent app but needs improvement

  This is a fairly good app! It helped me find some decent restaurants. I do wish they included better options with choosing restaurants. Such as multiple filters. It also didn't update my current location. I had to restart the app multiple times or just use urbanspoon. I do recommend this app, though! It helped me figure out some "attractions" to see.

  I've been a trip advisor for a few years, but I hadn't downloaded the app yet. It functions well, and it's much more user friendly than going through the website. The app will undoubtably get me to review more places due to its ease of use.

  I just stayed in the #1 Tripadvisor hotel in Key West. Ha ha ha. It's an old smelly motor court style hotel on the wrong end of Duvall and I didn't book the Casa Maria Waldorf which I'd originally planned that was #20. Ha ha ha. Jokes on me. The #2 hotel in Key West on Trip Advisor The Almond Tree Inn ha ha ha another old motor court inn with new decor in the rooms. Nice for a motor court inn but #2 ha ha ha. Click....Trip Advisor Deleted forever

  This app is laid out nicely, but has some very important features missing. Mainly the ability to star places, and share info from the app. I'm currently planning a trip but have no way to keep track of what places I like and don't like. I can't even send the info to my email from the app. That's a huge thing to be missing from an app like this.

  Very basic and friendly app, but needs some work done. Still prefer to use the main website. The app will occasionally close no matter what mobile device it's used on and takes a while to start up. Overall, I'm sure it will get better with time.

  It's a very good app with integration with services like hotel reservations and air tickets. Sometimes the UI doesn't seem to respond to touch screen and can be resolved using the option icon above. This is only a minor problem!

  I always used the site within the past 5 years. I only had two experiences where the hotels were BAD (Vegas Jockey and San Diego Marriott). However in there defense. The rating weren't very high. So look for hotels with four or more stars. The extra $$. Is worth it to have a GREAT TRIP.

  Went to all the trouble to write a lengthy review, just to have it request a log in (I WAS logged in) and then it lost the whole review when I clicked ok to check the login. Also, please put ranking numbers on the map so you can tell what you are looking at, instead of just a field of various green dots. Thx.

There are just a few minor improvements that I would suggest... I sometimes can't access my Trip Advisor inbox from the iPhone app, which is inconvenient. I've tried it a few different ways & sometimes it works but other times it doesn't. Also I couldn't save private lodging rental listings under Saves. It seems like only commercial rentals like hotels or resorts and restaurants could be saved, which is a bummer. If you can rent it on TA it seems like you should be able to save it. Bottom line- great app! Will always use during future travels!!

  Been using this app a lot to find good hotels while traveling. However, finding an available room at the last minute with accurate pricing (without clicking all the way through to a partner site) as well as the experience of writing a thorough review need to be improved! Lots of random errors during the review writing process, and lots of false positives while looking for available rooms in my desired price range. A few specific comments- I wish tripadvisor would add the fees charged by booking sites into the price you see in the search results. Second, I wish tripadvisor would fix the photo upload process such that the photo would not assume a horizontal orientation. My photos get stretched when I take them in the vertical orientation on my phone and then get rejected. Very frustrating.

  A small restaurant in downtown Kissimmee Fl serves some of the best food I have eaten in years. Be sure to try the Pesto Chicken Pasta and the Salmon salad. Prices are very reasonable.
