  You would think that this app would update with the correct flight and gate information, but it doesn't. I went all the way to one terminal only to find that not only had my gate changed, so had my terminal! It took ages to get to the next terminal. It would almost be better for them not to post the gate # until closer to departure when there is less risk for change. I've seen other airlines do that, why not Delta?

  Great app!!! Easy to use and my number 1 travel companion. I love the fact that I can check in, change my seats and have my boarding pass scanned from the palm of my hand, no more having to find a hotel computer to print out boarding passes!

  Pls don't ding this app for not working in iPad. Delta hasn't claimed that it's meant for that. I just used this app on my iPhone 4 and the app is even faster than browsing delta.com on a computer!!! The interface is cool and very easy to use. I have not seen such a cool app from any other airline so far!!! Great job Delta!!! Has almost everything you would need from a ver 1.0.0 app. I haven't yet used the check-in option but am hoping to see seat maps and change seats. If that's available nothing like it! I also want to see that "change flights" option for elite members (same day confirm). That'd be just cool!!!

  I use this app all the time for flight status information. After only a few minutes of having it minimized it times out and has to log in again. Needs to be able to stay up for much longer periods of time. Otherwise a very useful app!

  Overall great app, very responsive and has more features and is easier to use than competing carrier's apps. One critique is when a new seat is selected, the boarding pass is not updated to reflect new assignment. May cause confusion among fliers.

  Good bc it is so useful. One little addition would make this app great... I travel for work and always have to turn in receipts for airfare. It would be nice to be able to email, or print a receipt from the app.. Please add!!

  I downloaded this app to check in electronically before my flight. I ended up using the e-boarding ticket rather than using the printer. I also checked it periodically for flight updates, like delays or terminal changes. The app was surprisingly functional, and it helped make flying simpler. Nearly everyone else I observed was still using paper boarding passes, which I found a little surprising. I'll use this app again next time I fly. Just make sure your phone doesn't run out of battery when the flight starts boarding.

  The app does a lot well but the fact that it won't update after flight changes is maddening. If you drill down info seems accurate but it frequently warns of flight delays on old itineraries that have been changed. Please once I have rebooked don't tell me about the delayed flight I'm no longer on. Surely this can be fixed

  I don't understand why I need an app that keeps me signed in if I can't see my upcoming reservations. Why would I even use the app??? I have to search email for my booking info to get the confirmation or ticket number. Epic fail.

  After the update, my PIN stopped working. I obtained an alphanumeric passed, which also is not working. Delta: why ruin an app that did not need fixing?

  After fiddling an hour with the app I deleted it from the Phone. It is not designed to work on iPhone, does not let me reset my password, Shows text outside screen and after finally logging in it does not automatically go to my reservation. WASTE OF TIME. !

  Stuck in ATL airport waiting for a flight delayed 5 hours, but the App tells me the flight is "on time!" Yeah, right! Just check the web site instead - it has accurate data.

  App never works when u need it. Just when you want to check in, it decides to automatically log you out. Don't know your password because you are away from home so try login help. Sends you an email with a broken link, then locks out your account. No one at delta can help you. If your flight is delayed, this app actually diverts you away from any true help. Better to call delta ( for what that's worth). It does seem to work well when not traveling and you don't actually need it.

  On my cab ride to the airport I opened the app to check in. The ticket showing In the app window was for the previous day. I panicked & had the cab stop. I thought I had missed my flight or messed up when booking. There was no number to call. I finally went to the web site & found out the app was mistaken. This is a huge glitch that needs to be fixed. I used the phone boarding pass but won't anymore. The phone did not remember me between flights & it was a tight layover. Running thru the airport and no time to log back in. Otherwise the app is pretty handy.

  Won't allow me to check in... EVER. It says it can't find my itinerary when I want to check in, but pulls it right up in My Trips. Just adding to the long list of problems I have every time I use this airline (it's never my choice to fly Delta, it's a work related decision).

  Tried to check in using this app. When i tried to pay baggage fees, it kept declining my card, my company card, that i know is valid. When i called tech support, their response was to use a different devise. There was no known app problem. When i told them that defeats the purpose of the app, they said that they were sorry but that was all they could do.

  Useful app, however, I never even logged in, and location services was burning away, tearing up my battery. Careful control on location services would be a huge benefit, or even Bluetooth LE (iBeacons) could be helpful when you're near the gate.

  Why doesn't this app allow you to check in and get boarding pass?? That would be one of the most useful features! Whenever I need to check in, I have to go to delta.com and step thru the full website to check in and get my boarding pass! Useless app, unless you are using it to book or track a flight only!

So I can sneak my way to the next gate and score a seat next to a power plug! Good: Prompt Notifications: great to know when something changes so I can take action immediately. Ease of use: Easy to navigate, very responsive UI. Amount of information: I love that I can see everything about my travel plans. Including layover times, flight times, type of jet, and amenities offered. Could be improved: Credit/Debit card processing: Sometimes a known good card just won't go through. Not sure what the issue is, but it works elsewhere. Account information saving: I can't change my address from the app, it presents some error along the lines of not being able to sink the data.

  After a flight delay, seemingly a common occurrence on Delta, the app keeps prompting the user to accept changes to itinerary. I chose to work through agent to accomplish this change. The app does not update. I was not able to use electronic boarding passes, which wasn't a big deal to me. But the lack of clear up-to-date information regarding connections makes this app worthless.

  When you have your tickets sent to the App on your cell phone it has a QR code. The scanner at baggage and Check in only works with a Bar code. Unacceptable for Delta to pay someone to design an App that does not work with Delta’s System and allow it to be the customer’s experience with Delta Airlines.

• Too easy to select wrong boarding pass

  This is a well written and useful app. The one complaint I have is this: when several people are traveling on the same reservation, it is easy to screw up and put the wrong person's boarding pass into your passbook. I just did this on my daughter's phone and there was great confusion at the gate when she and her mother scanned the same pass. Perhaps the app could warn you when you are about to view a pass that is not your own, or always list the pass for the owner of the phone first. I assume either solution would be easy, since everyone is logged in with his own sky miles account.

• Boarding passes don't work

  I was enjoying using the app until suddenly it stopped generating correct boarding passes. If I switched seats when I checked in (a nice feature) it kept giving me a boarding pass for my original seat. I had to go to the website to get the correct boarding pass. Now it is trying to give me the boarding pass for my outbound flight on my return flight! Again I could only get the correct pass from the website.

  It's pretty lame that it offers an option to delete a credit card but produces an "invalid request". I have the limit of two stored in the "wallet" page so I can't enter my current card. Tech support says it needs to be done on a website. No intelligent reason why they have a feature that doesn't work. How is that award winning?

  Why just, "Share your flight with Facebook"? What if I want to share it with email or a text, (which in fact I want to do right now). Should have that choice. Developers - believe it or not, there are vast numbers of people who, for whatever reason, either don't use Facebook, or prefer to send info like this by other means. Comments updated on 1/2/13: Downgraded from 2 to 1 star because after all this time, you STILL can't do basic useful things like find and reserve/book, or manage a flight! Looks pretty, but surprisingly useless for being associated with such a large computer-driven corporation. Original review: ---------------------- Nice for quick checks of existing flights and itineraries, etc. But you can't really manage anything, and putting together a potential trip is cumbersome. For example, you can't get a round trip priced out like in the full Delta website or Kayak, Expedia, etc. And while it shows the total number of miles I have in my award account, but there is no way at all to determine how many miles would be needed for a trip if utilizing them - why not? Hope this app will be eventually fully useful.

  This app is death. When you add flight to your calendar is DOES NOT ADJUST FOR THE CHANGE TIME ZONES! It added the my departing flight leaving at 10:40 on my calendar but the flight actually left at 9:40 because it didn't account for the switch from central time to mountain time and caused me to miss my flight. Delete this app now!

  I really like the new interface, but when my flight got delayed this morning and I tried to rebook, it kept giving me an error message every time I tapped Confirm. I had hoped to save the ticket counter some effort by rebooking through the app but now I can't.

  This app is right on the edge of entirely useless. It might even be worse than useless, because it lulls you into a belief that, because you installed it on your own personal device, it ought to remember who you are, what you're doing and where you are going, which it sporadically does, but often doesn't, and usually at the precise moment you are in a pinch and need it to function smoothly. Instead of helping, it throws incredibly ill-timed intensely stressful obstacles in your way, and demands information you already told it -- your ticket number, your sky miles, your pin, etc. I like Delta a little less every time I use this app. The only reason I use it at all is that the website is even worse.

  The interface is crisp and clean, but when I did a check in for two bags it didn't prompt me I pay an extra $100 for the 2nd bag. Every other option seems to charge you (and let you know the cost). I found I had to pay for a 2nd bag post at the counter. Not cool.

  I'm stranded in Philly because my flight is delayed. The pilot told us to download this app to learn more about our connecting flights while we were all waiting to de-board the plane. I'm trying to find an alternate route and it is absolute garbage. It keeps timing out. Will I ever get home? Not with the help of this app. At least Delta staff is friendly.

  Haven’t had too much trouble with this app. It has froze (couldn’t log in) a few times. No award travel, no multi-trip planning, no pay with miles is a real problem. Pretty basic functions found in other airline apps. Too many clicks to get where you need to go. Needs a major overhaul.

  I don't fly as often as I used to, this is my first time using my phone for my boarding pass, but I have used passbook for other things. I was checked in right away on the way to the airport. I was surprised by all the little extras especially the parking reminder how cute! I checked my seats and looked at extras for my flight as well as copied my flight to iCal so knows when to pick me up. Handy!! I am actually impressed I was not expecting it to work so well.

  This app is an big unknown. I fly frequently and sometimes it displays correct information and sometimes it doesn't. Upgrade list is rarely ever available for me.

  I recently took Delta to Manila and I got to say it was hell. Hey Mark their hours of ticket operations I drive four hours well someone forgot to change it on their website so I sat outside in the rain at Manila airport for 13 hours. All I got was a sorry and a piece of paper to fill out so I do get a form letter back. It's going to be in my mission to inform the public of Delta and how horrible they are they shouldn't be in business. I guess in the end I did get an upgrade from Delta on my international flight. I was upgraded from 23 hour trip to a 38 hour trip. I do fly economy and I do realize that's a no thrills flight and a treat you like the baggage but how they handle themselves and how that lady as they counter handled herself and I'll be in 2 AM I'm sure no one was in a good mood. But if she had the authority I do believe I probably would've been in with the animals where ever they fly

• Does not update seats on boarding pass

  The app offers the very convenient option to upgrade including giving you seat maps. It was very easy. However after the the transaction it doesn't update the Passbook boarding pass seat numbers. You still have to go to a gate agent to print one out.

  Never had any problems with the app like some other reviewers. Shows all the information you need including Medallion upgrade list, seating chart, flight status, boarding pass etc once you select the flight you want to look at. Really like being able to track checked bags and see they made it on the flight with me. App also has good info such as airport maps and flight schedules. Only thing I'd like to see is a detailed listing of MQM/MQD earnings instead of just skymiles.

  This app has major issues. Will only show 2nd leg boarding pass if you have a connecting flight . If by some chance you get both boarding passes to display the connection boarding pass will disappear if your flight is 1 min late.

  I'm having the same issues as the multitudes of other reviews. Not always staying logged in (May be fixed now) Not finding reservation Sticking on a spinning/wait page for one item or another and there's no BACK option, you have to kill program and restart. Just still very buggy.

  Previous versions of this app would let you review your flight information while, get thus, flying. The latest versions log you out instead. Who ever thought that was a good idea obviously never actually used this app while traveling.

  Used this app every week since October for my weekly trips. The things I like - accurate and timely. Has all the updated changes shortly after changes - has ability to check in (can do this away from laptop), get boarding pass to Passbook, etc - can check on sky miles - can find and book alternate flights after major snow storms. - is a full iOS app and not just an interface to the web site Cons - none that I can think of
