  I love this app. I have several other star guides, but this one stands out in a few ways. The interface design and user experience are top notch. Plus, I *really* like the ability to adjust the perceived darkness of the sky. This provides for a much easier to use and more accurate display when viewing the sky from a light-polluted area. The add-on Satellites Pack is well worth it and adds an extra dimension to looking up at the sky. Recently, I ran into a strange issue with the Satellites Pack that caused the position of the ISS to be improperly reported. It turned out to be a power outage of one of the data providers (winter storms…). While tracking this down, I received quick, thorough and personal replies. Great support is always appreciated.

  If you have even a passing interest in the night sky, get this app! It is a great way to learn about constellations, satellite paths, and planet positions. I've been using it with my children and they are now able to recognize a few constellations without the guide. This is a stunningly awesome app that I've been telling all my friends and family about.   I was just recently in PR, up in the mountains, where the stars just filled the night sky. I wanted an app for my iPad that would help me identify the constellations, galaxies, etc. and came across Sky Guide. Let me tell you, this is a must have app! I showed it to my parents and they too were blown away! It is a steal for $1.99! Get the app and you will never put it down. Great teaching tool as well.

  Being able to point a mobile device in any direction to see stars and celestial bodies in their positions in any point within linear time has always fascinated me - but this app is also has intensely beautiful imagery. I love being able not only to stargaze for hours but to also track satellites and read about what's floating around up there in outer space (I have not yet located Gene Roddenbury but I'm still looking)

  I recommend this app to all my friends. You can choose to see pattern lines or constellation images for visualization and learning. Works via GPS I believe. So, you can point it to the ground and see the sky on the other side of the globe? Cool.

  I thought this app was to show you the constellations in the sky when you point your phone to the sky outside. But it shows you the starry night sky on the phone and wherever you move it, inside or outside. It wasn't what I was looking for.

  I've only had this app for a day now but it is easily the best of its kind. Visually, the app is amazing. The imaging is the first thing I noticed and they did such an amazing job with it. The controls are very intuitive and just make using the app very friendly and clean. This app is a must-have!
