  Purchased upgrades are not recognized and shared between devices. When I direct the app to restore purchases, it responds that there are no upgrades...even on the device that was used for the purchase. This is not acceptable!

  I love using the dictionary.com app because it offers so much to do aside from searching for the definitions of words. I love being able to look up which words are trending in my local area, read the blog articles about words, and check out the word of the day. But there are some issues that need to be addressed: - When using the local trends map, the app freezes many times after taping a pin - Navigation is a bit quirky. There should be home button that does not double as a previous page button. Additionally the menu sometimes switches to the word list when in use. - The pricing has to change. For starters, this app needs to be made universal because an upgrade feels even far less worth the cost when it needs to be repurchased on my other devices. Additionally, the upgrades themselves are expensive. I would like to have example sentences, but 2.99 just isn't worth it. I would be willing to pay as much as $10.00 for a complete upgrade, but each individual upgrade seems too pricey. * By the way, you misspelled sentences in your power pack ad. Usually I would dismiss grammar errors in a review, but this worries me considering this is a dictionary app.

  I was very pleased with the basic version but desired more options/upgrades available through additional purchases. I'm about $12.00 in and am happy to say it was worth each addition. You need the internet for the pronunciation function. The "word-use origin" section is nice as I study New Testament Greek using the Strong's definitions. I'd like to see them add an "Urban" upgrade. Also would like to see an "English Grammar" study-tool upgrade...because they make their app so well.

  This dictionary is pretty good. I would have given it 5 stars but I've come across several words in newspaper articles like the NYT and the Nation that this dictionary just doesn't know. But to be fair, the words were uncommon.

  I have been using Dictionary.com for quite a while. The way they designed it makes it easy to look for spellings, the thesaurus is nice, there's a word for the day, and you can add upgrades such as a medical dictionary. Such a great reference tool.

  This is a great application, clean and easy to use. I use it most everyday to broaden my vocabulary. I like saving words that are new to me as a favorite so I can check a week or so later to see if I've managed to remember them. I honestly cannot think how to make it better but I don't give 5 stars to any app because there is always a way to improve.

  I use this app on a nearly daily basis. Not trying to up my SAT vocabulary, but I do appreciate the suggestions, as well as the other features. It even has funky synonyms that are uncommonly used for normal words. You never know when you come across a misanthrope in customer service and frankly nothing else can be used to describe them.
