Especially like speech to text on note creation for rapid idea capture
I use Evernote for my Home Business, family and personal notes.
Evernote is more than a fantastic app, constantly being improved and thoughtfully developed -- it is in many ways a new operating system for the modern mind. I think of it more as an extension of my brain than mere software.
Evernote is more than a fantastic app, constantly being improved and thoughtfully developed -- it is in many ways a new operating system for the modern mind. I think of it more as an extension of my brain than mere software.
I use Evernote for everything. It is a wonderful app to keep all your notes in one place. Once you learn the best way to use Evernote in your life, organization will never be the same.
I had doubts about how much I might use it, but after not too long I found myself using it for so many different things. Easy to use for lots of different things. Favorite feature it to send things directly to my Evernote email address.
Wish it had all of evernote's desktop client capabilities but can't complain about this all around great app!
This app is the perfect tool to organize everything in your life. To get the most use out of it, you need to use it for everything-work, family, travel, etc.
Have no idea what I ever did without this!! Only change: make shared notes so they can be edited by those they're shared with.
Evernote is awesome. After using it I became way more organized and my productivity has significantly increased. The product is always getting updated, so you can be confident that this will always be the best note taking app out on the market.
Love it, I have been using it exclusively in my notes taking. I would say that it is almost perfect if the followings can be fixed- 1. Email forward address-it seems that it does not take email address from my address book, I can not type in address easily. I always have double input when I type with my bluetooth keyboard. 2. I love the way it handles notes. I only wish that there are ways that I can archive all the notes under certain category so I can save some disk space or work space. I give it a 4.5 star if there is a way
Using it to take notes everywhere. Great app!
I use it for gathering recipes and meetings. I use it on 2 iOs devices and 2 windows machines. Love its ease of use across platforms!
I use this app everyday!
Since the last update my notes are jumbled up! The search feature does not find results. The desktop app has everything in the right place, but the iOS app is gone berserk! I am going to delete the app, re-install & re-sync to see if it fixes... Please fix, so I can breathe easy again!
Can create notes with pictures, video, etc. My favorite aspect is the organization that the iPhone's built in Notebook app doesn't allow. All in all a much better alternative to Apple's notebook app.
Evernote is amazing and always there at my finger tips !!!
I use this everyday as a note taker and todo list. I organize my life with it. I pay for the premium service.
Have completely enjoyed the functionality of this app.
Love the app. I can message my notes over via text to other ppl & they keep the format (which I personally love). Why go through all the effort to have notes, recipes, & such just to have the garbled when your trying to share them
I was in the middle of a presentation, I looked down and found that my notes were gone and I hadn't even touched them until I started my presentation.
This app has great potential (and great reviews), but I find it very buggy. Continuously shuts down and will not let me look at my photo notes. There are thousands of apps for note taking, but the photo feature is key in Evernote. Too bad it doesn't work.
Offline doesnt work
Great productivity tool that allows users to store and easily retrieve all types of notes
Crashes every time I open my journal. iPhone 5s
I've used Evernote for almost two years now, and have never really encountered app bugs. Lately the app has been very buggy. Every time I try to open a notebook, and sometimes an individual note, the app freezes and even after restarting stays frozen. Typing is slow and cuts out, and the cursor often goes off-screen and I can't scroll down to see what I'm typing. Also, recurring reminders would be a game-changer. Otherwise, it's an ideal app!
On my first screen for both iPhone and iPad. I use this app to organize EVERYTHING - crochet/knitting patterns, recipes, important documents and most recently a packing inventory. We're moving out of a very large home w/ many rooms and lots of stuff. I create a note for every box, label the box w/ room name and box #. The notes have the corresponding box name/#. We'll be remodeling a new home and most of this stuff will be in storage for a while. This way I'll know which boxes I'll need access to right away and which can stay put away till new home is done. Thanks for keeping me sane and organized Evernote!
Love this app! Can download my syllabi from my classes and use it in conjunction with StudyBlue. Great for college!
Yes
Use it everyday, important part of my work.
This is the best app for personal development, keep track and share your notes, they will be in a cloud so u can reach your acct anywhere.
I use evernote for soooo much. Major bug in this last update though. App freezes when I access notebooks. Please fix evernote! This is a 5 star app.
Great app!!
I loved EVERNOTE ! Change my life !!
The new updates make the app more user friendly :)
Very useful in daily tasks, helps keep my thoughts, task and duties organized
As a Dr. and business owner I would be lost without this app. Keep it up
Until I found Evernote, I swore I could never go paperless. After all, I am a piles of paper person, so how am I supposed to give up my paper? With Evernote it's not only been an easy transition, but it has been ENJOYABLE as I discover more and more ways to integrate Evernote into my life. If you don't get, you'll kick yourself!
I use Evernote on the go with swiftkey for numerous files. Great app!
I use for both home and work and it's like my other brain.
While almost never happy with everything any program does, Evernote provides the closest to e-nirvana. I have been during it for around two years now, and have come to not just use it constantly but to really need it to keep my life in some semblance of order.
Seriously the best software ever to keep your life and thoughts organized.
I can make notes anywhere and have them with me everywhere. I'm not totally paperless just yet but I am moving in that direction.
There are so many reasons the app is great and they keep coming up with new features. The OCR scanning of PDFs and jpg is amaze.
Best app ever.
This version doesn't sync or retain notes in any consistent way. I never know if I'm going to lose my notes so I've had to stop using the mobile app. Formatting is also mess. Fortunately I haven't upgraded my desktop app. PLEASE get a new release out. -Your loyal customer
I use Evernote as my all-in-one resource for lists, journal entries, articles that have touched me, personal or work notes, and lists. Love it!
Love the way it syncs across platforms. I keep track of workouts, store work and personal notes, etc.
Could not run my business or my life without it. Premium subscriber for 3 years, find what you need when you need it.
Update: I have been trying to get all my notes and stuff into digital form for more than 10 years starting with notes in my Cassiopeia monochrome. I never achieved what I wanted to do until now. With Evernote everything becomes seamless. I kid you not. And I haven't even started paying for Evernote premium yet :)
I haven't learned how to use all the features yet, but I love being able to add pictures to notes. I'm a grad student and it is a great study aid. It does seem to get stuck/crash once in awhile when I use the add pic option, but overall a great product.
I love it, and it keeps me organized. I wish we didn't have to pay for the premium though. So sad...
Too convenient to not use
Just installed latest update to iPad. And like magic about 1/3 of my data is gone on my most important note!! Same thing happened to the same note on iPhone. Never had this happen before.
Wonderful app for all my notes, lists, etc. Works like a charm.
I use it for everything. Anything that doesn't have a built-in place for keeping in my devices goes into evernote, and they make it easy to upload from anywhere and in the way you want to. If I could just wish for something it would be for being able to merge different notes in ios, and also INKredible compatibility.
It's been the one app I've had consistently since I've owned a smartphone
Evernote is awesome. It has been so helpful to me in organizing my notes. I have several teachers and need to keep each of their monthly meetings organized. They are easy to find and I can email them a copy right during our meeting.
There are things it would be nice if EN could do but maybe we're all getting spoiled. Generally very good. Bad news, lately it's freezing up or crashing a lot.
I use this across multiple OS systems for both business an personal. I highly recommend it for any note taking you require.
Can't live without it now. Just wish they had a more notebookie feel using tabs and such. Great work.
It is a really good app that let's you write basic notes, and access them on any device. It crashes sometimes.
The update is better but I really wish we could have an increased don't size for our notes. The font is tiny and not adjustable which is truly inconvenient for ios users dealing with a 16:9 ratio 4in screen. Also I know this prob won't be heard but I love the pre-ios7 version of Evernote way better. The 'tab' style organization was truly intuitive and made great use of gestures. I would like more gestures to navigate than tapping as gestures are smoother and more definitive than taps on the screen especially if you have big thumbs. Thanks
I've never been so organized in my life. This app makes the already fantastic Evernote service even more useful and FUN!
Evernote is something I couldn't do without for work. I am a teacher and I love being able to save all my important documents. I also love being able to share my notebooks with my administrators. Thanks Evernote!!!!
Evernote is pretty good, except for the fact that you can't adjust the size of the pictures. Overall, though, it makes taking notes much easier. The new update makes the app better, also.
I'm sure that Evernote chose their logo because of the adage "an elephant never forgets", but elephants are also big, cumbersome, and difficult to control, just like this program. Access data base is less confusing to use.
Not really sure how I worked without this. Nice App
Before I begin to critique this app, I just want to clarify that I'm really glad that I found it. I use it almost every day to take notes in class, which this app makes incredibly easy. However, there are still a few features it's missing in my eyes. Firstly, there's no spellcheck. It recognizes that a word is spelled wrong, because it'll allow you to replace it, but it doesn't indicate it by putting a red line under it, which would be infinitely useful. Secondly, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but once you close a note for the first time, you can no longer open it in the full-app, background-is-shadowed mode. You can only open it onto the right 3/4 of the screen. I wish there was an option of how to open notes. Lastly, and this is a problem only for users that have a keyboard, but Evernote treats a tab as five spaces, which means that if I have to remove a tab, it's just tedious. Apple's Notes app acknowledges a tab as one character, which makes it seem that Evernote could as well.
I really like and use Evernote every day the iPhone / IPad apps are great for getting info. I wish some of the features in the windows desktop for organizing were in the apps only downside
_its ok
I love this app. My favorite! I do wish you would bring back the old green background. The new one is so plain.
Since the recent update the app does not synch the notes I typed on the computer version into the iOS version.
When the initial 7.0 update first came out I thought (and still think) it was a design mess. But now they have greatly improved the look of this app and allowing for customization of the homescreen. As usual with the Evernote app the sync is quick, the app is efficient, and it is indispensable in my workflow. Great job and keep up the good work
Best app ever for keeping files organized. When something comes up in my News Feed I want to keep I snap a screen shot and later upload the picture to Evernote. So happy I discovered this trick.
New update with iPhone 5 or latest version on iPhone is terrible, and harder to find things .... Still Could not live without it
A new update is seriously required after the last one. Very buggy. Freezes when I attempt to tap on a notebook to open it and doesn't move until I exit the app, remove it from running and start again. Sometimes even that doesn't work. Needs fixing.
I'm preparing my phd and this app Is helping me a lot. Only if it is possible the links between own Evernote notebooks, it would be perfect. By the way! New updated crash constantly when you try to access an entire notebook of the display list
The app freezes too much and when it does, it is impossible to unfreeze it. The only way is to uninstall it and reinstall it which is a pain to have to set all the settings again. I have reset the app and the phone with no result. Not even a hard reset will do it.
I use this all the time. It's easy to search with tags and there are so many ways this app comes in handy.
I use this for personal reminders, set goals and tracking, positive affirmations, home life needs list, upload contacts, receipts, manuals, and create notebooks for each family member to manage their affairs. I also started a notebook to share with my friend's startup business for marketing tools and other resources, as well as integrating his other small business for house flipping by using receipt capture notation, QR time clocks and emailing to do lists. This app is revolutionary. I think of it as a paperless, user friendly organizing cloud app with top notch integration. Pocket, skitch, scanner pro, a pen app? for ipad, and hello can aid in all the said above ventures. But the web clipper and express note on Mac is what makes it so much easier to get the information you need to your notebooks. Both iOS interfaces are beautiful and user friendly. I'm addicted. And I'm even more excited to try Evernote for Windows and Droid (as my friend prefers those OS) and see those accessories that may make my head burst from Evernote overload, but in a good way! I plan to use this app to get my life exactly where I want it to be!
Some day maybe this app won't freeze when I open it. Some day. I wish I could delete it but I don't want to lose my notes. Useless.
I have already written an awesome review within a week of using the app, and I just read a mere couple of buggy issue reviews.. I think it has to be their device. Between my 3 year old MacBook Pro, my 1 year old nearly smashed to pieces iPad (15 SOLID YEARS OF LOVE WITH APPLE!) and my 3 year old, slow as molasses, ALSO nearly smashed to pieces Droid, I have NO issues, ever. And I use Evernote ALL DAY AND NIGHT! PEBUAK..? However that goes :-)
Hands down, use this all everyday. Life changer
Good Better The best app ever for note management. Hazza Alhabi
Best app for sales, busy moms, and anyone that needs to organize their life! File management is very "Apple" and easy to use. File management skills not needed (although helpful) to find all your important notes and picture tags. The pay-for app is well worth the <$4/ month price!!!!
Really!
Integrate it 100% and you'll see how amazing this software is.
I love it. I use it for work, job searching, school, and my household. It's amazing. Definitely recommend.
I use this app everyday for taking notes at school. I have it on all my devices so that I can always have access to my notes!
Needs to be able to open a zip file so I don't have to open the file in iZip and then back into Evernote when all I want to do is view it in my note. Also should be able to merge files from the mobile app instead of having to go to the website to do it.
Very helpful
I love, use it, and recommend it.
This is an all-day every day tool for me. It works with all sorts of other apps and is generally a pleasure to work with. My only wish: an easier way to make webclips on ios. Try it and you'll be hooked.
I love this app! One of the best things about it is that it works on all platforms. I use it to keep all of my business and personal documents in order. It has made me more organized, and I never find myself saying where is that document, all I have to do is scan it is and tag it and I can find it in a matter of seconds. I wish I could work for Evernote I love what they are doing. If you are thinking should I upgrade to the premium version, the answer is YES. Don't drink one latte a month and it will pay for its self.
This is a great app
"Really powerful app for lots of possibilities." Given my title, I wanted to mainly say that Evernote is a tremendously useful and capable app, but you need to structure the way you use Evernote to fit your needs, personality, and life. Yes, you can search everything, but that isn't really the best way to categorize hundreds or even 10's of notes. Use the "notebooks" and "stacks" to organize all your notes YOUR way. That is the great thing and simultaneously the challenging thing about Evernote. It keeps all your stuff in one place (an "everything bucket" some have called it). But without your personal style of organization, it will become just that, a bucket full of stuff that you have to dig through to (hopefully) find what you are looking for. Personally, like many, I use filesharing and syncing services for all my documents for work and home like dropbox.com and box.com and copy.com etc. These are great and served their purpose for your personal computer filing system already in place on your hard drive. But I find that Evernote is a different system that has different useful purposes. Quite simply I see Evernote as a simple and easy way to draft documents, notes agendas, to-do lists, or any other on the go type note I need to make and access from anywhere. My heavy word processing and presentation making does not happen on Evernote. That is what your desktop publishing or tablet software is for. I use Evernote to make meeting agendas, to record notes from face-to-face meetings, to record to do lists that are constantly being updated, and to record running lists or compositions of reference items for a project with running to do lists, tasks, and other important bits of information that I will need to reference regularly while in my office or away (project planning, event planning , freelance client management, etc. Use Evernote! It is powerful and do what you need it to do. But you must impose a system of structure upon it (stacks and notebooks, etc) in order for it to truly become a useful tool that you will not try once and then quickly dismiss because it "wasn't helpful", or "intuitive", or "didn't make sense", or "didn't fit your lifestyle, etc. "Don't try to make your life fit Evernote, make Evernote fit your life." -Matt K.
Evernote is a life-changer. Uses the cloud like it was intended to. Manages, keeps, and accesses the constellations of data that fill the skies of our minds. Like a boss. Keep up the great work. Thanks.
It didn't let me set up an account with a username, forcing me to use an email address.
Use it all the time for work and personal. Much cleaner now with the update. Thanks, Evernote!
