  Best app ever, i was just starting out to play guitar and didn't know what song to play aside from the books i had with songs but none were what i wanted, but when i found this app it was amazing ever song that always wanted to play right there in my hand.   The only complaints I have is that for chords tabs there isn't usually a strum pattern, and that there aren't enough tabs on here for less popular stuff. Other than that this is an awesome app and a must have for any guitarist or guitar student

  Some chord positions are wrong ..it would be nice if we can change and save all the shapes it the bottom of the page. I'm tired of the irritating pop ups to buy the ipad app..I did buy it! .. Your pop ups are the most irritating painful pop ups. I bought a life time membership..when I sign into the web ultimate page,u should know this and stop pop ups!!!! And I like to go to the web page ultimate...but the annoying pop ups won't go. Away.. Elastic painful pop ups.. Please

  This is a great app. Well worth the price. I love being able to create a favorites list. My only suggestion for improvement would be to let users build playlists.

  This app is pretty sweet... I still can't believe that I paid $25 for it... But I'm glad I did because I use it all the time and there's no other app like it. I guess that's what happens when you have a monopoly on awesome guitar tab apps... You get to charge monopoly prices :-/

  I only bought when the $20 "lifetime" subscription option became available. When I did, I was disappointed to find the app riddled with bugs such as: white boxes appearing randomly over tab displays and the fact that the keyboard can't be dismissed after searching favorites. However, the site's users have amassed a great library of tabs. Combine this with offline viewing of tabs added to favorites (which sync to all your other iOS devices) and the $20 price tag becomes much more palatable for an app that needs a lot of work.

  I'm not sure why but the iPad version doesn't allow you to share the songs with other apps (like Onsong). The iPhone app does, but this doesn't. And I paid the $25 for the lifetime subscription. Ridiculous. Finish the app please.

  I love this app and use it pretty much every day for work. That said, it is annoying that I am "reminded" to give a review every time I open the thing. So annoying. I don't review things. So there. Five stats for the app... 1 star cause you annoyed the junk out of me.

  Great app until halfway through my subscription. The app basically has locked me out and I can't view tabs or buy a new renewal even though my current subscription doesn't run out until Feb 14. Basically took my money and left me with a half satisfied tab app.

  Had it on the iPhone & it was good, Put the new version on the iPad & its much more user friendly. It works for what I need it for. I enjoy the knowledge base & the access to all the wonderful tabs, my son is learning guitar now and I showed him how to use the app. Thanks.

  This is a cool app, have the iPod version on my iPod touch. But that one isn't subscription based, and it's been updated for iOS 7, also, allows for a print function and several other features. Also, I'd like to be able to try the iPad version without having to subscribe. It would also be nice if the in app purchases could transfer from my iPod touch to my iPad. Please update.? NEEDS UPDATE

  I started using ultimate guitar when I started learning to play the guitar. As my skills have progressed, so have the opportunities that ultimate guitar has provided for me! Songs range from very beginner to the most advanced of players. You can learn to fingerpick or strum to to you heart’s content. So whether you are a novice like when I started, or whether you have honed your skill to that of a rock god, you should be using ultimate guitar for all your chord, tab and musical needs!

• Few minor things

  First, I paid for this app for my iPad and it won't install in my iPhone? That's crazy. Second, you should be able to print. Last, why can't I put a tab of the day in my favorites? So far, other than the above, I like it. Just wish they'd address the three minor things listed above.

  I love the mobility of this app. I can play my acoustic guitar on breaks at work without carrying bulky 3-ring binders along. I can work on chords and fine tune a riff. On my iPad mini, I can cue up a song and then open Guitar Tabs and play along! I love it! Thank you!

• Major issue fixed

  The problem I had with the previous version was that it would only show your 'Favorites' in portrait mode and wouldn't auto rotate back to landscape once you chose a song. That has been fixed. I'm still not a huge fan of the bright colors and would like there to be a some options for font type, color, and size. But it is perfectly functional as is, and has reclaimed its spot as my favorite app and a must have for any guitar player, regardless of skill.

  Totally overpriced but I needed to be able to see bigger font as the iPhone is so small. No tuner functionality like iPhone and that is disappointing as we'll. I also feel like for 24 bucks you should get iPhone and iPad versions.

  The tabs here are great, no argument. But, for all the goodness, you cannot print the tab sheets. This lack of detail makes it very difficult to work on tabs, and to work with others. For the year-long subscription I paid, I want to be able to print - or I want my money back.

  I bought this app while looking for a song, as the ad popped up saying I could find this song here now. Great ! But the song did not exist ? I also did not care for ' auto renew ' without asking my permission to do this ? Many people might not want this app for a lifetime .. So emailed the makers and they explained how to pop out of this ..but it was not an obvious thing .. So I like the app but don't like the deceptive marketing

  I love the catalog of tabs but have not been able to use my lifetime membership on the actual website. I haven't combed the forums...the answer is probably there. I am a ukulele player and wish that we had the option to view use chords.

  This is a fantastic app on the iPhone. It retrieves the songs from my library, shows the tab, plays the music, scrolls down the verses, etc. However, on the iPad, it will not play the music. Anyway, this is the best that I could find on the Web.

  I love the website and even the app on my phone, but they require that you pay to be able to view the tabs on your ipad which is a load of sh!t. They should just go ahead and charge for the app, or tell you upfront, that you're going to be required to pay to be able to use it. I'd wouldn't recommend this app to anyone, just keep using the website.

  Good for learning songs of any genre for any guitar, for any age, for any skill level! Favorite guitar/music app! Only problem is, I can't seem to use my tab-pro subscription for this app, but other than that, it's good!

  This app has basically everything you could ask for in a tab app. The price of the iPad version is a bit steep, but if you play with any regular frequency, the lifetime subscription is worth it. My only suggestions: update the interface for iOS 7 like this app's iPhone companion, and most importantly: ADD GUITAR TOOLS TO THE IPAD APP!!!! I can't stress that enough, the tuner and chords are the one aspect where the iPhone version really has a leg up on the iPad version.
