  I hate the updates. I don't need random "news" notifications. I don't want big brother Facebook linking to my account, so stop asking Shazam! I'm all for change, but change for the better. What happened to my favorite, simple app? :(

  It just works. It's one of the few apps that I use every day. I'd always used it for music but now I use it all the time for TV. And auto-Shazam is totally rad. Nice update

  I turned this on during the figure skating at the Olympics and after about 15 seconds it showed info about the broadcast, the music playing, AND the music that had been playing for all the 12 previous performers.

  I'd like to be able to delete tags. Seriously, why was this feature removed? Oh yeah, so we can get more notifications in our Shazam news feed...? Because we all love notifications for things we don't care about. To developers, I downloaded this app for its music recognition capabilities, please keep this a priority, thanks.

  Notifications are daily news updates trying to get you link your Facebook account. If the red notification bubble doesn't go away soon I'll be forced to uninstall.

  Shazam has updated the look of the app, it seems a lot cleaner to me while putting more options where I don’t need to scroll for them. I don’t notice any slow down to the app, either — something I really appreciate about any app update.

• News Notifications are excessive

  Overall, this is a great app! I use it several times a week. However, within the past month, the notifications for what Shazam considers to be "news" have increased considerably! It's irritating. I'm not going to pay for this app, but as soon as I find another app that can fit the bill, I'll ditch Shazam simply because of the notifications. The "news" isn't anything noteworthy.

  This version has an issue that when I open the app and I'm playing music from the music app via my Bluetooth headphones, the headphones disconnect and I can't get the audio to go through the headphones without a restart of my phone. No other music apps I have cause this problem.

  With each update from the past few months shazam has gotten slower and slower with identifying songs and now it doesn't recognize anything where as a few months ago I had no problems please bring back the old shazam!

  Dumb feature that gets in the way with constant popups trying to get met to enable it. Every time I hit the button to listen to music this stupid pop-up shows up. Horrible execution.

  I've always known and loved Shazam for music recognition but didn't realize how cool of an app it is for engaging w my favorite shows on TV! Super Bowl was good and the Grammys were amazing! Keep it up Shazam- you're the best app out there and the only thing I use EVERY SINGLE DAY.

  Auto Shazam is pretty cool. I find tons of new songs this way. The new design welcomes Shazam to 2014 and the content seems improved. Also, Now I can purchase multiple songs from iTunes at once…been waiting on this for a while.

• Stop with updates!

  Stop with the freakin' updates every single week. It's not like you add some major fixes or improvements. Good app but i see virtually no difference between now and 3 years ago. Only reason i update is because i don't like the red circle on my "appstore" app!

  This app started off good. It was useful. It worked. The most important thing. It worked. NOW, it is a ripoff and nothing else. It is fake. It's something. Whatever it is, it doesn't work! It can't come up with anything. It lets a song stay pending for the longest time, and they got rid of the resend feature for pending requests. I don't know why it says it's pending if there is no use for it. In other words, this app went BANKRUPT when it comes to innovation or improvement. There isn't a way to get the old version so basically nobody needs to phrase the word Shazam anymore since it's absolutely no use.

  Doesn't do much of a job with anything other than mainstream popular/teen pop. If you are into jazz, world, new age then forget it. Plus it bombards you with ads for headsets - thankfully got to try it before forking over money.

  the look and feel is seems improved. Tagging feels much more responsive than before. Tagging radio in the car consistently gives me recognitions in about 1-2 seconds, way faster than the competition. The news feed is a really nice looking feature. I really like it. Check it out!

  I would easily give this app 5 stars, but recently it wouldn't work the first time I clicked the Shazam button. I had to click it a 2nd or 3rd time to work. Please fix :)

  I don't know about the other reviews, but i tried this on a CD i had and didn't know the artists, it got the songs right. I give it mad props (and they were with no lyrics - that's where this comes in handy)

  The core feature of this app, identifying songs, works great. But I'm giving it one star because I don't like the app itself. If it only did one thing, identify songs, I'd give it give stars. But it tried to do so much more than I want it to, like give me music news and tell me what other people I know are listening to, and I just don't care about that stuff. What finally made me decide to give any review at all is the news feature, that will put a number on the app icon so you'll know the app wants to tell you something. I don't care about what it wants to tell me and I resent the fact that's have to open the app and look at crap I do to care about just to clear off that number from the app icon. It would be different if any of these superfluous features could be turned off or disabled, but they can't, and when I contacted the app publisher, I received no response. So it gets one star here instead.

  I've used this app to I.D. Dozens of songs. This app identifies the majority of the songs within seconds and a few had to be sent in and returned to me within 5 minutes. No doubt, this app is a must have for everyone.

  I feel the app has lost its way. It's trying to grow into more then the simple app that tells you what son you are listening to. I don't care about the stupid updates it tries to tell me about. I don't care to have it listen to everything I do. I don't care to learn more about the commercials I am forced to watch. All I want is to find out what song I am listening to.

  I tagged 12 songs in Italy and when i got back to France and wifi they all came out as one song, and not even the first one i tagged. This is a serious bug especially since I heard a lot of childhood music I hadn't heard in years.

  On a consistent basis I try to tag a song and it fails to do it because I'm supposedly "not connected" even though I'm on full strength LTE or WiFi. Every time I try to tag something it just says it will tag when I'm connected. But I never seem to be "connected". I've tried rebooted. Killing and restarting and even reinstalling to no avail. I have no problems with sound hound. I'm THIS CLOSE to deletion.

  This version is extremely buggy. Has a hard time connecting to the network even though other apps can. Also I've noticed if this app is running in the background it makes the whole phone slow. I'm on an Iphone 5s. Update: First tag after app first opens always fails to capture audio.

• Tags are seriously MESSED UP!

  I don't know how or why but not only are my tags no longer in order by date tagged but there are three or four times as many, including songs I don't like and tags that pre-date the purchase of my first iPhone!!! What the hell?! And no, I didn't leave it on auto. That's a little too big brother for me unless I'm at a movie - for that it's a great idea (no patrons getting annoyed by my phone lighting up when I want to tag something) and the only reason for the second star. I want to have the option to sort my tags by date or alpha by artist or title. This random Brubeck in 2011 followed by Zap Mama in 2013 followed by some metal song I hate has got to stop!!!!
