Ear Nose Throat Decide - Point of Care Patient Education for Healthcare Professionals by Orca Health (formerly Orca MD)
This version of ENTDecide combines a new design with access to surgical videos and enables you to Draw / Annotate images and Send / Prescribe Digital Handouts (app content) to your patients.
ENTDecide is free for personal use only.
Generate your own ‘Prescribable’ Digital Handouts, using photo or video capture. All Digital Handouts you Send to your patients will be hosted on HIPAA-secure servers by Orca.
This will allow you to take pictures and videos of your patient or patient’s medical imagery (MRIs, x-rays, etc.), Draw on those images and add them to the Digital Handouts you Send to your patients. This feature will help you deliver them personalized patient education, which will, in turn, improve their satisfaction and retention--all while enhancing their understanding of their condition and treatment.
We know privacy is important to you and your patients, as a result, all of these Digital Handouts will be hosted by Orca and is available to your patients via a HIPAA-secure web portal, which will be linked to your search-optimized Orca Health Specialist Profile.
ENTDecide is a multisensory learning tool, which empowers healthcare specialists to teach their patients more quickly, efficiently and effectively. The app includes interactive 3D animations that permit you to explore and explain anatomy like never before.
Lastly, augmented reality provides a unique way to enhance comprehension in-context, by enhancing the patient’s worldview with relevant visual and auditory information. ENTDecide uses augmented reality to demonstrate ear, nose and throat conditions using sound. Patients are able to see how a condition affects their body and what it sounds like, thereby enabling them to compare it to their own experience.
Satisfaction levels among people who are well-informed about their health are much higher than those who don’t understand their condition or treatment. Patients who interact with information via multiple sensory inputs feel more satisfied with the course of action they choose and the care they receive.
ENTDecide is free to download and free for personal use. ENTDecide's in-app subscription adds the Draw / Annotation and Send / Prescribe features to the free-for-personal-use Anatomy, Condition and Procedure content and is available through an auto-renewing subscription.
The in-app subscription also includes ongoing HIPAA-secure hosting of Prescribed Digital Handouts as well as regular content updates. As long as you subscribe to these tools, there's no limit to the Digital Handouts we will host for you and your patients or your licensed professional use of app content.
Please note: At the conclusion of your 14 day free trial, **you will not be automatically charged for this service**.
Two subscription options:
◦ Orca Tools monthly subscription for $20
◦ Orca Tools annual subscription for $200 (a 20% discount on the monthly price)

Can't say much more great things about this.
This is pretty interesting, even though the ringing ear noise is pretty annoying. Glad I don't have that condition.
I love to keep finding more of these orca health apps, can't wait for new updates!
Welcome to all our new users and thank you for your interest in ENTDecide and Orca Health. Whether you are a patient, healthcare professional, or teacher, we hope you find the app a powerful teaching and learning tool that helps you (or those you instruct) find best practice solutions to your (or their) health problems. We aspire to producing the best patient education tool possible and to that end, invite feedback (both positive and less-than-positive) which we will use to improve our existing apps and guide development of future apps and features. Please email me and I will be happy to pass on your critique to our development team and help resolve any current problems you may be having with the app. Thank you, Matt Berry Founder & CEO of Orca Health berry AT orcahealth DOT com
The app was exceptionally information and I really enjoyed the add ons. They are exceptional for only being 99 cents.
Searching for info and illustrations on tonsils, was mentioned in add-on but not found. Otherwise is a nice visual.
Tons of info that I would have never known. Very helpful for understanding my messed up breathing and everything. Love the videos.
The surgical videos are very informative. I like being able to see what goes on in the O.R..
I really like seeing medical apps in a larger format on the iPad. It helps to see the anatomy more closely. Orca also made a great addition to the apps in the video tutorial. So helpful!
This app is fantastic! There is so much information available and it is easy to use. I love that I can get info on the ear, nose and throat in one place. The graphics from Orca just keep getting better and better!
Not as good as some of the other apps from this group. The figures are tricky to move around and too small, esp the ear anatomy. The short videos are fairly helpful, but in my experience they don't offer much additional info than what you can provide the patient verbally. There some other apps that provide a diagram of an area, and allow you to draw on the figure. This seems to work better for me. This group has some orthopedic apps that are very good, esp the shoulder and hand apps. This ENT app and the eye app are covering topics that are not as amenable to this type of presentation as the ortho topics.
Nice idea, but there is no audio with the video clips. No conditions that require surgery are covered. Labels on 3D models are intrusive and obscure the model itself. This should not have been released as is.
Review your own apps much?????
A WASTE OF A HARD EARNED DOLLAR Audio is of someone snoring, not of someone with a breathing stoppage as in obstructive sleep apnea. Nice 3D tour but the info is sub basic and not worth .99 a pop. You are better off spending the time at the library or going on-line for a much more detailed information. If you know absolutely nothing about the human body and want to know a little more than nothing sped the .99, then .99 then. 99 then .99 until you hit about $1,000.00
