  I never thought I would love a game like this but I was wrong. I have gotten addicted to it and have net some really awesome people in this game. Also, Shadowfax is the best alliance on the game. Elrond39 is the best world to be apart of as well!!!! Enjoy!

  It's a fun game with a good community if you find the right clan, everyone is helpful and supportive. Game goes by slow which is nice when you're really busy! Sure you can spend, but it's not necessary, although, I would! It's worth trying it out if you're interested!

  I love this game, but one thing would be a nice addition. Many alliances delegate someone as a "bank" to which everyone sends extra rss to, so a nice feature would be a bank button or something in the march troops screen that you could set to certain coords.

  I love this game - the strategy and alliance interaction have gotten me addicted to it. Contrary to what other reviewers have stated, you don't have to spend money to be powerful - I am top 150 in my world without spending anything. Would absolutely recommend this game to anyone!

  Starts off slow until you get into it, need to really get into it and it becomes addictively entertaining especially when your on a great Alliance!! I play for little or no cost!! It's all up to you!! Go for it yo!!! Would have 5 Stars but the bugs!!!

  However, it heavily favors the big spenders. Also, it is glitchy. Food doesn't show up. There's a lot of fatal errors, and frequently doesn't allow you to unassign a hero from their task.

  I happen to love this game. They recently opened a new server and I created a new city. Well, I switched back to my other one to check it and when I went to check the new one, it was gone. The create button was lit up green. I thought maybe I accidentally picked a different one. So I hit the create button again. Now it is stuck in new city set up. It tells me there is a server error. I can't get to my other kingdoms.

  The Hobbit KoM is a great game I can play it for hours with out getting bored there are tons of great people on here and alliances r great to have you might get a little mad with tks (People who attack to kill off troops and go up in leader board) but the fun you'll have here is worth it

  I play in server 104. There was an issue with a hacker. I contacted kabam and they told me I should refresh my game???? I've spent my time and money to have a developer not answer it help with my issues. They don't pay out the purposes prizes and their customer service us awful. If you want to literally throw 100s if not 1000s of dollars down the drain, then this is the game for you

  This game is for the casual player. There isn't enough of a story line or action for anything other than a quick login a couple times of the day. Between freezing, lost resources and mith with absolutely no customer support, don't bother.

  This game has it all. Bullying check. Spend tons of $$ to advance check. Customer service? Or should I say lack of customer service check. Untimely maintenance which makes the game worst than the beginning? Check check. You have been warn stay away from kabam greedy company. Wish I knew before blowing thousands upon thousands of $$. Dumb move on my part. :(

  The game is eh ok. Just like the rest of them out there. The startup was slow and confusing. If your not a smart computer / technology person stay away. Any question you ask in main chat will get flammed by the trolls. If you get past this point they make it very obvious they want your money in the form of mithril. It cost WAY more then it should and makes the people with the most real life money rule the whole game. You will never win any events because they spend $1000's, yes $1000's!!!!! to win a $10 item. I fell for it myself and purcahsed $20 worth of Mithril the items i purchased did not work. After email after email they beasicly said im a lier and the item worked when i clearly anyone above a 2nd grade math level could figure out. After 5 emails back and forth they told me they are closing the case! Just watch out, this company doesnt want anything but your money. They dont care how unbalanced the game gets with people spending so much REAL LIFE cash on it. RUN AWAY!

• Horribly Disappointing

  If you are a Lotr fan, look elsewhere. This is just a generic city building game with some hobbit characters bolted on. It is a blatant money grab and a platform for griefers and farmers. There is nothing to prevent you from getting attacked 10 times in a row, so be prepared to build up hard earned resources for days only to see them taken away in seconds. Also seems like it is populated with teenagers who think they can be arrogant, vulgar, and harassing. Kabam does nothing to police this. I guess my first clue should have been when I logged in and I saw two characters named Lickalottapuss and BounceDatAzz in chat. That pretty much says it all. Still, I gave it a try, thinking I could keep to myself. No luck. Steer clear if you are a Tolkien fan.

  This game is a money sucker. Sure you can play and not spend anything but you will never finish upgrading or you will never have a high lvl hero to defend your city or attack anyone and just your butt kicked. I played for 3 months before I couldn't get any higher without spending money.

  If newcomer don't waste you time. You will never win attacks and lose all defense troops and gold (needed to purchase things) in the process. All other resources can be protected. An effort in futility. No stars.

  I adore this app, it's very fun and a great game to play when you need to kill time! Unfortunately, for several days now, every time I try to play the app it states that there is a "Fatal Error" and sends me back to the loading page. I try the app several times a day, and it has a 100% fatal error rate. This disappointing, as I've missed out on several daily Tokens, and have been unable to check in the daily calandra boxes, causing me to miss out on the end of the month chests. Please, I just want to be able to play this great game without it crashing every time I load it, and making me loss out on daily/monthly rewards :(

  Great game. Addicting, but the support is a joke. If you need to contact kabam about one of their dozens of glitches, such as them losing all your personal account information to hackers, losing mith, losing your city, etc... Customer support never gets to it. Kabams forum online is basically all posts about players trying to get helped out with glitches & kabam ignoring them. Don't believe me? Go check

  I downloaded the game it was pretty enjoyable for the first seven days, then everyone and their brother waltzed in and stole every ounce of gold. They offer this vault that will protect rocks and grain, but somehow no one ever thought to put gold in it. They offer defenses for your city. Total waste if time and resources. I spent three days building a good solid defense, vanished in one minute.

  It's a fun game and you meet some good people, there is bad language at times and it can get addicting, then you realize you've spent hundreds on it when you didn't expect to spend any, then it drops you like a terd in the toilet when you talk to support (who I've only gotten to respond to me twice) I've played a little over a year, was good and getting progressively worse. I've lost items I've paid real money for, with no luck of getting them back...it's like I tell my friends on the game, only reason I'm here is for them, NOT THE GAME. Hobbit: KOM=greedy

  As a beginning gamer I'm lucky I found this one. It's fun and can be played for little cost and maximum involvement. After reading some other reviews, I would like to say that I disagree with some points. I have had 3 problems that I reported to Kabam and each was resolved in a timely manner. Sure, you can spend money and I do but not much. I am in a top 5 alliance and there are several top players who have never spent. Many of the complaints I see seem to be the result of not understanding the game. The people I have met from all over the world are amazing. Like anything, there could be improvement s, but overall I think the developers are doing a good job. Thanks.

  The game IS fun but you will have to spend to keep up. Kabam customer service is HORRIBLE and they won't do a thing for you unless you spend a ton of money. Wallet warriors get the faster responses. Kabam also doesn't care for the well being of their customers, a lot of bullying and harassment goes down in this game and they don't do a thing about it, unless you spend that is. Don't bother.

  when I glitched and lost 1 million might in a reassign march, I contacted player support and its been three days they havent gotten back to me and my troops are still missing. Im farming fourth city deeds and i keep getting robbed because i have no defenders. I was at 90/100 and now I have to start over again. So rude and disrespectful, they just want your money with no shred of respect and integrity towards players. What a bad company.

  If you want to be competitive in this game you will have to spend money. You will have to spend a lot of money. And just because you've spent a lot of money, don't expect the game run smoothly. You can plan on having to reset this app very often. Usually it will stop updating at a critical point and you will log back in to find your city looted. Scout function only works half of the time. Your city will freeze up and no matter how many times you force-restart it won't unfreeze. You will have to cancel all your troop training and lose half the resources that you spent to train. You can submit a report to kabam if you want. They will take 24 hours to send you a cookie-cutter response about how they are working on it and how hard it is to debug the game. Considering the fact that it costs $10 for every city beyond the first (or even to change your name) you would think they would be motivated enough to fix a simple mechanic that has been in the game since it launched. Also if you want to be on equal footing with others int this game you will need a hero that is lvl 215. The items to get your hero to this level will cost you about $60 per hero per city. Do yourself a favor and get a game that costs you $5-$10 up front. The focus for kabam obviously isn't to make a fun and balanced game. Their focus is to get you hooked and then gut you for every dollar they can. Again, you won't be buying yourself reliability for your money. So don't expect it.

  Do not waste your time on this game. This is a game where you will, eventually, spend real money in it. But this game is so buggy and the customer service is so terrible that there is no guarantee that you will even receive things you paid for. If it does happen to you there is nothing you can do about it as support tickets are given auto responses and closed without further review. Don't risk your money or time, it's just another pay to win game with infuriating customer support. We've all already played plenty of those.

  They have designed this game so that you have to spend serious money to play at the higher levels and belong to an Alliance. Because the alliances can kick you out if you don't participate in there campaigns, you can be left to your now devices to protect you from attack. You need an alliance to assist or you become the local target. Kabam also keeps messing with the game design and function and eliminates your capabilities unless you belong to an alliance and spend real money to play. Yes it is fun, but you get sucked in and you spend it even if you have not intended. This more like gambling than playing a role playing game.

  I truly enjoy this game. Just started a month ago and am having a blast. The one feature I dislike most is the inability to determine what chat mode is default. I can't have just alliance chat at the bottom of game screen. I don't want to see the stupid chatter and hate messages that are constant. I want to be able to see only my alliance chat if that is what I so choose. Play on!

  Been playing for awhile. Everything was great until this last update. Don't understand why the troop button was taken off, or why when sending troops you now can't see what your sending or the load they can carry. Would have given a 5 if not for the terrible update.

  My 4th review from an advanced player...what a crap this Kabam no servers to cover peak traffic like last tom campaign and loosing rss almost everyday in transport...just a complete failure. I closed already one world and now I'm closing everything...I'm out of this crap!

  The moon runes are fun. The train troops icon needs to be put back at the bottom, because it is inconvenient to bring up the barracks and go to train troops.
