After listening to feedback we have added a new optional controls system which focuses more on the games touch screen controls. When starting the game, you will receive a message asking if you wish to use the new controls or if you would like to continue using the default controls. The new controls can be toggled on or off through the in-game pause menu under ‘Options’ and then ‘Touch Controls’.
The default controls have not be changed.

Love the LEGO games, but this one drives me crazy because the cut scenes all play in portrait mode. This makes them much smaller and hard to watch. And it forces you to keep flipping orientation to play & watch.
Update to iPhone 5/5S screen
The controls are clunky and the screen does not support iPhone 5 widescreen.
Please Please PLEASE fix the video screen to the side I don't like the fact that I see the videos with my iphone up I like to hold it from the sides to watch the movies please bug fix
Love this game but please make the wii, Xbox and the other versions, I beg you mercy to bring it to Ipad
This game is fun.
The controls are to hard to do please get the same controls as 1-4
I think that it is good that there is no more touch screen because I had to switch between fingers to move my character
I love HARRY POTTER keep up more of the games there my favorite movies and I would like to say the same thing to all the other games
By far my favorite game on my iPad/iPhone. Hard to put down and easy to control like other games. If you get stuck, just destroy everything in sight
Idk it's pretty fun but after a while the screen just turned black... Please fix:(
Great game, the cutscenes only play in portrait display, not in landscape.
This version is undoubtedly set up in a way that the creators assumed that people would know the plot and storyline already and only kept the more challenging levels in the mobile version. This idea goes as far as basically taking out 3/4 of DH part 1 because again people are expected to know what happens. Because of this, the actual game really only takes you 2-3 days to complete and the rest of it is just replaying levels with different characters to unlock certain aspects of the level you couldn't do the first time around. The game really pulls through in the last levels and get a lot more trickier as the final battle comes to a head. The graphics are pretty impressive and the touch controls are easy to use once you get use to them. All in all, it's a great game to pass the time with and is definitely worth the 0.99.
Need a iphone 5 update
I really like Harry potter and I played the years 1-4. I personally like years 1-4 because you can explore the castle much more and I feel like in years 5-7 you have little options and not much gameplay. There are more clips in this one. Pretty disappointing. I wanted to explore the castle for the last time. Oh well, good overall. :)
This game is so great ! The new controls are way more better than ( 1-4 ) and also the graphics are better ! The whole game is better than ( 1-4 ) ! One of the best games I have ever played on ios ! Must have !
Needs to be optimized for iPhone 5 and up. Also needs control update.
This game is awesome! I love the D-pad controls. Lego harry potter years 1-4 is ridiculous and awful, having to "draw" spells to get them to work. With this game, you just press a button and the spell is casted. The people who say the controls are bad are just Douche-Bags whose meaty fingers are too big to use the D- pad properly
Great graphics I gave the 1st one 5 stars but this one is even better! I wish I could give it like 10 stars also it fits with the Harry potter storyline nicely and fells like I'm playing through the movies (or books whatever you prefer). Nice work whoever made this!!!
Feels like a console game. Few bugs need to be fixed. Movies display as though the phone is in its upright position and will not rotate to the wide horizontal position. Game occasionally crashes on load screen. I have a new iPhone 5, these problems must have come with the latest game update, or conflicting issues with iOS 7. Please fix this.
All cut scenes play in portrait mode in small window on iphone 5s with iOS 7.0.3. Please update and optimize for newer devices!
It won't even let you download it because there's not enough space I almost deleted my whole phone just stupid
After playing Harry Potter Lego years 1-4, I was disappointed in years 5-7. They are less interactive, and the levels skip over large periods of time. I find myself playing less and watching the Lego videos more, and while they are entertaining, I would rather delve further into the world of Harry Potter. I was expecting the same format as the first years, and I was extremely disappointed. I am sure that once I play more I will enjoy the game more, but I would suggest only buying years 1-4. It is more expensive but completely worth it, and even though this one is cheaper, I cannot say it is worth it.
I can't figure out how to complete the potion near the beginning of the game PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THEY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game is different from the first. Forget the control issue, It's not intuitive in the least. But the reason I'm deleting it from my phone is that it hasn't been upgraded for iOS 7 and glitches terrible both with program freezes and crashes and with game play not working like it should. Poor, poor, poor.
Well, I was in love with years 1-4, but I can't even play this one. I have purchased a 5.00 game that I can't play because it now takes two hands with the virtual D pad, and I only have one. I didn't mind the D pad in the first, because I had the option to not use it, but it forces you to in this game, no longer making it disabled friendly. I'm quite upset that I wasted the money. The worst idea ever is to completely remove classic controls in ANY game. It ruined it for me.
I really enjoyed the first game because not only was it a lot of fun, it was accessible to me as I only have the use of one hand. What happened? Why would you change the control scheme between the two games? It makes zero sense to go from a three-quarter view touch screen game experience to one that involves an imaginary game pad. My iPad is touch screen! Use the whole screen! Improve upon the last game, but don't lose the touch screen controls that Years 1-4 used. I invite any employee of WB or TT games to play this game with one hand. Go ahead. Try it. You can use your dominant hand if you want. See how well you do. Did you get frustrated playing with one hand? Welcome to the world of millions of disabled gamers that benefit with game controls like the one used in Years 1-4. Instead, you think everybody needs to use a D-pad and buttons that are far apart. I am glad I bought this for a buck, because it makes deleting it that much easier. And I CAN do that with one hand.
Come on guys, can you make it a little easier to jump? Obsessing over a game can be maddening when you can't get past some part just because the controls don't allow you to jump with ease.
This is a great game really fun to play and just like the movie if you're a Harry Potter fan you'll enjoy playing it.
LEGO Harry potter years 5-7 is an amazing game which allows you to enjoy and to play as your favorite characters. The game has great controls with stunning graphics allowing you to really enjoy the game. I am very satisfied of purchasing this app.
After enjoying years 1-4 so much, I bought 5-7 without hesitation. However, I feel like this game doesn't even compare to the first one. The controls are annoying, the camera moves around wildly making me feel sick, and I feel like the spell casting is just more confusing with no real explanation on how to use them. Also, what's up with the cut scenes play so I have to turn my phone right side up to see them, then turn it sideways again to keep playing? It's annoying and disruptive to the gameplay. I loved the first game, but I already regret buying the second.
Godric griffindor is in here !!!
I expected this to feel/play similarly to years 1-4. My hands are way too small to hold the iPad and use all the controls effectively and I'm an average sized 26 year old. It needs an option to control it just like the first game. Also, the tutorials are not helpful. In hindsight, would keep my money.
Totally worth the five dollars! I was hesitant to spend the money but it was so much fun and great for long road trips! (Especially because it doesn't require wifi)
Love this game; infinitely replayable
I love this game! I loved the years 1-4 as well. They ought to make another one, Lego Harry Potter "the lost levels 1-7! It would be great ☺
Saying I don't have enough storage
It's a fun game and the FX are so much better than in years 1-4. Only things I'm not liking are the controls and weird camera angels, it's a lot more difficult to move around. It's a good game, but I rather play years 1-4.
Draco Malfoy fans must get this app! His dark magic is very rare. Many challenging levels keep you playing for hours!
Update the game for iPhone 5 screen!!
Best game ever
I got to 7th part 2 and everything was perfect except for this. I just beat nagini and I am getting chased by voldemort he keeps killing me and I can't Finnish the game! I need to know what to do Please help.
Imagine if you will a game designed by Dolores Umbridge. That is Lego Harry Potter 5-7.
This is way better than the first game. You get to do so much more than in the first one.
Aw Some game
This game is AMAZING
The graphics are a lot better than I expected, it being on an iPhone. However, the controls take some getting used to; I don't like them quite as much as the controls in Years 1-4. In fact, though the graphics are good and the gameplay is the usual Lego fun, I'd have to say I preferred Years 1-4. Years 5-7 are almost exactly like the "big" Lego HP one, whereas in the other one the gameplay was radically different, reminded me a bit of the old Zelda handhelds. Also in that one the joystick method of control was optional; I find the touch joystick a rather hard to operate; it's hard to move slowly and precisely which is unfortunately required a few times in gameplay. Overall though, it's a great game and they did a wonderful job converting the "big" one to this smaller portable Lego HP!
The game auto saves after every level, but after getting far into the the second book I was unable to access my "saved" game. Gone. What is up with that? I have to start over? Bad glitch. Beware!
My kids move to play this with Dad. Never freezes. Great graphics.
This game is great but I'd like more spells like Stupefy or Protego. Or maybe just maybe Avada Kadavra for unlocking Snape or the other Voldemort supporters. Love the books and movies!!!
