Description

Playing is learning as you explore bedtime, bathtime, doctor, and more at Daniel Tiger's house.

With this Daniel Tiger app children have the chance to play about some of Daniel’s everyday experiences – experiences that might be a lot like theirs. And as they play, young children will be learning a little bit more about their place in the world.

You’ll be learning too – about your child - when you talk, listen and play together.


Doctor
Play Doctor Daniel with the instruments that doctors use. When children play about being the doctor, they’re in charge. That can make it easier to manage when they have to be the patient.

Bedtime
Help Daniel get ready to go to sleep - and your children can be thinking about their own bedtime routines and the things that help them at bedtime.

In Daniel’s Bathroom
Wash, brush and flush with Daniel and play about and practice bathroom routines.

Sticker Book
Children can have fun making up their own stories as they play with dozens of stickers in Daniel’s house and Neighborhood.

• Sound DOES work--change your settings.

  As some people have said, I ran into a "no sound" issue after having this app for awhile. But it was because my daughter got into the settings on the iPad and switched the function of the button on the side of the iPad. Make sure the mute/lock switch is set to "Mute" rather than "Lock Rotation." Turn the volume up with the mute button off and it'll work again. One of the best apps we have--my daughter loves it!

• Sound still not working

  Worked great when we got it about two weeks ago. It suddenly stopped having any sound. Frustrating. My son loves this, but can't use it now. Please fix! Would be 4 stars if sound worked!

  A previous reviewer had it right. On my iPad I went to Settings and switched from "lock rotation" to "mute" then turned the volume up as usual. It worked! Thank you thank you thank you to the person who made the suggestion! Now my child can play along with Daniel.

• About sound issue

  iPhone.. Make sure the side switch is off silent. iPad.. Go into settings and make sure the side switch button is set for volume control, not "lock rotation". After that make sure it is not on mute. Should work great after that!

  This app is not as fun for my 2-year old daughter as the "Day and Night" app, and doesn't seem to promote the tooth-brushing and potty training as well either. Not bad but not great.

  Please fix the sound problem as soon as possible.My lil one uses this app constantly throughout the day and the sound stopped working tonight.Needless to say she's very frustrated that she can't hear Daniel.I read a few other reviews and it seems like this has happened before.Hopefully this will get solved promptly.   My toddlers like the game. I wish there was more to do but it's been a week my kids like it and they are learning about medical equipment that is used during their check ups which is neat.

  The app is great. For some reason when you start it, the volume automatically gets turned all the way down- just turn it up. My preschooler loves this app!

  It is my son's favorite show and he plays this more than any other on my iPad mini. I am not having any technical problems. Seems to have a nice variety of activities.

  I work in a day care and my 2 and 3 year olds love this app. They don't get to watch the show though because of their schedule but they love the app. My 2 daughters 3 and 6 love the show and the app. My work babies seem to love the bathroom scene best, washing their hands and flushing the toilet. My daughters love to put Daniel to bed, get his blankie and love to play the "Goodnight Daniel" song before they go to bed. For all those that had sound problems. I also had that problem at first. I uninstalled the app then downloaded again and it worked just fine.

• About the voice

  I bought it anyways even though people said the voice didn't work. And then when I opened it the voice did not work. BUT when I took my phone OFF SILENT.... It works just fine:) I have an iPhone if that helps anyone. My daughter loves Daniel tiger so a little trial and error is worth it to me for her to be happy:)

  After the last update the sound on my daughter's iPad quit working for the Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood app. Not sure why, but all other apps still have sounds, just not this one. It was a great app until then and now she's super frustrated!

  Purchased the app and sound in fact didn't work; went to the site to troubleshoot and no solution. Soon as the purchase is processed completely I will get a refund...the most recent comment dates back to sept. 2013 Why is this app still advertised? Don't waste your money or get your child's hopes high just for a let down.

  My kids both are under three enjoy this application beyond what I would of thought. I bought the app a few months ago when it had quite a bit less at first I felt a little low blow on the app 2.99 for an app with almost nothing...until I noticed the joy my oldest son had. Jump for joy when it was improved. As for the problems I own an iPad mini and I've had a few sound issues as of today's date but rare, my wife on the other hand has the iPad 2 major issues with the most recent update no sound or random sound cut off. In reality, Daniel tiger's neighborhood Is worth the 2.99 just to see a child smile. Currently with the sound issue I have full trust it will be fixed soon.
