  My 22-month old can read, thanks to this adorable, charming, funny and educational app (and its companion app, "Endless Reader"). It does not talk down to kids, the characters are friendly without being dumb or overly silly, and the range of words is truly impressive. The voice work is delightful, and the animations and other audio are likewise extremely well done. I just can't say enough about how great this is, and how much my daughter enjoys it. Thank you to everyone involved, thank you, thank you. If they would like to add in-game purchases for more words, I would buy more and more. I hope they're working on a game about numbers! I would buy it in a heartbeat.

  She took to it right away. She's only been playing for a couple of weeks and already easily places the letters in there correct places. Also keeps her attention for about twenty minutes or so. Very cool app.

  This app is great for little ones and isn't so annoying it drives mom and dad bonkers. It's very educational. Our little one is 16-months and is already starting to matchup letters. He is a bit young for this app but is still thoroughly entertained by it.

  Says my 18mo old; he gets to play with this for 15mins/day. You just know it's a great and effective app when your child is able to hold conversations utilizing the words in this game. He's able to read, spell, recognize the definition and incorporate them in conversations. Worth the price!

  They've done everything quite well, but the standout thing for me- considering other kids apps- is the clear, no tricks interface. I don't like when an app tries to sell anything to my child, advertises at her, presents her with buttons that lead her away from the app... Etc. I like this company and will grab anything they put out as a thanks for thinking deeply enough about what an interface for a small child needs to be.

  I too have NEVER written a review but I think this app is just amazing. My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter (and love of my life) has learned the alphabet, not just the song either. She's learned what each letter looks like. She's learned her sight words and even bigger words like spaghetti, famished, hilarious and their meaning All while "playing". I love love love these apps. A great big THANK YOU to the developers. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, I'll keep looking for more of your apps. I have the reader too

  My daughter had trouble learning with paper and pencil. This app has helped her so much. She can recognize and say her letters, as well as learning new words and definitions. I have never had an issue with this app freezing or malfunctioning in any way. Very well made!

  Let me preface this review by stating I have NEVER let a review about anything... I have a very rambunctious 16 month old son that does not know how to sit still. I have tried multiple apps, shows, anything to teach & entertain him; nothing worked. We went on a trip to the carribean when he was 11 months & i feared the plane ride. This app was mentioned by a friend and we played this the entire time and not a peep(except for laughs)! to this day he still loves it! He can sit for over an hour to interact with this. It also entertains the whole family, the sounds the letters make are hilarious. I love how at the end of the word, the app repeats it and then gives a definition, followed by a visual! Its fantastic & nothing compares!

  My son (now 10 months old) has been playing this for several months now. He has always loved to hear the music and sounds. The graphics also catch his eye easily. Even if he's not looking, he will whip around to find the familiar music in this app. His first real crawl was motivated by rushing toward our iPad with this app playing the intro music. Great app!

• Internet Required

  I don't understand why this app needs an internet connection to get past "g". That may not be an issue in the USA with a typical wifi connection, but it's a big deal where I live and pay by the MB. It would be nice to download the whole thing and be done. (I know it states this in the description, but it doesn't seem necessary to me.) Aside from that major issue, this app has a pleasing design, but I don't understand all the five star reviews. It's quite simple and is basically the same thing over and over. I don't regret spending 99¢ on it, but would have been upset if I had bought it when it was more expensive.

  This app is perfect for the little puzzle hound with some sneaky learning in it. I bought this app for my 3 yr old son. His vocabulary has exploded since playing this. He now recognizes letters and makes their sounds as well. Letters that move while making their sound. Words definitions played out when puzzle finishes. My 2 yr old recently started playing this as well. I've already noticed more talking and pointing out letters in his environment while making their sounds.

  Love this app!!! I am a pediatric speech language pathologist and I would highly recommend this app as a fun way to promote phonemic and phonological awareness. I am having difficultly loading new words lately maybe it's a bug? Love the app though!

  If you have little ones, than you should have this little one too. In seriousness this app is incredible and by no means is it little. Our daughter is almost 2 and she ignores most of the other apps that we had bought to keep her busy on trips or long outings. I belive the best part about this app would be that it really has some educational value. The app has seemed to help her recognize letters better than before we purchased it. (Maybe because she can't get enough. She really, really likes it.) Everything about this app is a cut above the rest. From the art direction, with all its cute and colorfully crafted monsters, to the wonderfuly friendly voice over that helps sound out the letters and then reads the completed word. Not forgeting to mention the brief clear description and defenition of the word followed by an often humorous animation of said word. Let me add, this app is also easily navigated and very intuitive. We picked this app up for $0.99 on a whim. After veiwing and playing it myself, I would have gladly paid more for it. I had no remorse after purchase. 100% satisfied. Great job developers!

  My Son loves this App. I got it for him a while back and he does so well sounding out the letters now! Would like to see some lowercase letters but that's about it. Other than that it's awesome! ❤️❤️❤️

  Great game for little ones. It's like reading a dictionary but made fun. My not quite 3 yr old's vocabulary has gotten a super boost. He spells all the words, recites the definition and then reenacts the little skit. I just wish you had the option to continue to add more words. We've had this app for a couple weeks now and he's gotten all the new words currently available and has learned all of them. I hope we get more new words soon!

• Most educational app ever

  Listening to my four year old sitting on the couch constantly repeating the sound of a letter while he is touching and playing with the letter is music to my ears. I asked him an hour later what some of the words meant and he remembered. Then I found him the next day reading the words he had done because he wanted to do X-ray again. And I love that there are no ads or setting kids can bump to get them accidentally off the app.

  So this is the fave app around here. My daughter wants to play it 24/7. It's great. She's saying words I never thought she would say right now (x-ray, for one) and I love it too. However, the word "COURAGE" sends her into fits. She throws the iPad or iPhone down and SCREAMS whenever it comes up. I thought it was a fluke, but there have been 7 separate occasions and it's now been witnessed by other family members. I have to admit, I find the animation and character for COURAGE a bit creepazoid myself...anyone else?

  We love this app! I have a 21mo son and 5yo daughter and I tell everyone to download this app. The kids cannot stop laughing at the crazy characters and they don't even realize they are learning their letters and words. Would like to have lowercase letters also, but hopefully that will come in an update down the road.

  I've downloaded a ton of educational apps for my toddler and this one is without question the best. Not only does she love to use the app due to its simplicity, presentation, and praise when correct, but it literally teaches her to recognize words better than any other we've tried. Very cleverly done I hope to see more apps from this developer like this along with Endless Reader which I think is even better. It reeeally teaches her and she think it's just a game she's playing!

  My just-turned-4-year-old son loves this app. Every once in awhile, he'll find a word that makes him laugh and play it over and over giggling the whole time (never suspecting that he's actually learning something, too). That said, an option for lowercase letters would be awesome. And more words (more frequently added) would also be nice.

  By and far the best for kids. I credit this (and Reader) for teaching my son the alphabet within a month. Games, songs, and flash cards didn't work but this sure did. Now if you guys could do Endless Math, Endless Language, and Endless Programming...

• Brilliant, but needs 2 things

  Love the app. A must buy. However, if the developers read this, I noticed a few things in the first few minutes that would be a great addition to make it perfect. If you can add a settings section, I would add the the ability to enable lower case words and the option to have the first letter capitalized. Also, I would like to have a setting that would force my child to "spell" the word in order. This way I can easily emphasize the pronunciation of each letter in the word. With the app today, my child can place the letters in any order and thus not reinforcing the pronunciation of each letter as the word is said. Other than that, a great app and my child LOVES it!

  My niece started playing with this app about after she turned 1 & now shes 2 yrs & 3 months old&still loves playing this app. she always returns to this app whenever she plays on my ipad. And I've downloaded plenty of toddler games for her but she returns to this one. It has helped her with sounds, letters, etc. plus she loves the dancing and music that comes with it. I wish it can make lower case letter. That would be great for her to recognize the difference between upper and lower case letters. Best app ever!

  I never write reviews, but this one deserves it. My nearly two-year old son loves this app. He is now learning to recognize his letters and the sounds they make- my wife teaches 2nd grade and says that many kids in her class are still learning this stuff, so thank you for making it easy to use and exciting for even a kid younger than your target audience. Worth $10 or $15 in my opinion.

  I bought this app for my two-year-old daughter, thinking she wouldn't need it for at least a year. She loves it! She repeats the words, matches the letters with their outline shapes on her own, and is starting to accurately identify letters when she sees them in other places, too. The app does an amazing job of bringing together many pre-literacy skills at once: shape recognition, phonemic awareness, spelling conventions, and a higher-level vocabulary than most other apps for kids. The animations are fun and engaging, and the "monsters" are appealing to both boys and girls. My daughter asks me every day to play the "Appa-Pets game" on my iPad, and I'm happy to let her because this app is such a high-quality learning experience. Well done!

  There is a bug it seems. I can open the app through the App Store from my purchased items, but the icon on my phone has been installing for days. I cannot open or delete it. Hard for kids to use this way. Looks like it will be good if it starts working though.

  We have had this app & endless sentences for a while now. My son plays them for hours. After paying for a very popular subscription app (which is advertise on tv as one of the best) we realize how valuable this app is. Hands down this app makes learning fun. If your going to pay for any learning app this one is worth it.

  This is great for children to learn the alphabet. it would be much better if there was an option for words to appear in random order, rather than only alphabetically. Also some of the definitions could be more precise and accurate.
