• Wonderful app!

  Works beautifully! The book selection is outstanding with topics that will appeal to all children. There are plenty of nonfiction too. The only problem is that I have to iPads that are on the same iTunes account and it only recognizes me as a subscriber on one. That's very disappointing. I don't see away to login and have the subscription recognized and not limit me to one story a day. I love how you can save favorites to download and use offline in case you are off wifi.

• A library for kids on your iPad!

  We have had the Farfaria app for over a year now. We love having access to so many books on our iPad! It really is like having a library for kids at your fingertips. There are a wide variety of books to interest many readers. We have two girls, ages 6 and 9. I mainly bought it for the 6 year old but the 9 y/o enjoys reading many of the stories too. The only problem we have had with this app is that it occasionally crashes or it won't open, but this only seems to happen once every 7 or 8 days and if we turn the device on/off, it will reboot and start working again.

  We purchased this app for my four year old. She loves it. We still read to her often. My oldest uses it too as they have a variety of levels. The wide cultural range is nice too. The stories are from all over the world.

  The illustrations are professionally done, variety of stories from trucks to fairy tales and reads for me when I'm tired. Well, they can still improve the loading time of the app and the stories. But other than that, it's great and highly recommended.

  My daughter lives this app. We used it for bedtime stories every night until the latest update. Now it crashes constantly. If they fix it I'll change my rating to five stars.

  I do like this app quite a bit. My **only** problem is that I am not sure the level 1 readers are for true beginners. My son is in kindergarten and is just starting to read. Some of the level 1 readers start off appropriate to his level but then get gradually harder throughout the story. It makes him frustrated, thus takes away from the reading experience. I teach reading to beginners so I can tell that the level 1s are a bit inconsistent with what they claim to be. Once he gets better at reading this will be a great app. I was just hoping to find readers that support his true beginning level.

  We got this when my son was 2 yo - he is nearly 3.5 yo now and this is FANTASTIC. A endless supply of children's books for under $5 a month! Love the option to have it read to him or we can read to him. They are updating to highlight the words as they read - I'm hoping they do that for all their books. Love that they add in seasonal books. They update their library on a regular basis. Fantastic app.

  My daughter Ava is 8. She started using this app 3 weeks ago. She has to read 20 minutes a day for school. With this application, I don't even have to ask her to do her reading. Week 1 she read 20 books, week 2 she read 29 books, and week 3 she is up to 31 books! She is becoming such an advanced reader thanks to this app. it is so worth it.

  Highly recommended by a parent to other parents. The choices of books are great, as well as illustrations. There is an option for someone else to read a story for your kids, which for some reason my kids always prefer. But this is not surprising because the readers are excellent and make different voices! The older of my kids gets a daily assignment to read a book by himself, and I am choosing which levels he is reading. The best part is that the favorite stories can be tagged as favorite and that makes them accessible when offline. We love Farfaria!

  So glad this was a featured app months ago. 2 kids 6 & 5 and we use it daily. It is part of our nighttime routine with real paper books. During the day the kids use the "read to me" feature often. I feel the monthly subscription is well worth it.

  This App would be perfect if it were organized by reading level and age group - both. You see there are 10 year old kids reading at Level 1, for example, but all your Level 1 books are too "babyish" for a 10 year old. Please upload lower reading level books more appropriate for older kids as well. This is a great app except for this oversight.

  My foster son and I read out of this app everyday at naptime. He loves it better than "real" books, (although we still do real books at night). Fantastic variety of stories. I do wish there was some way to SEARCH the stories by keyword... He often wants to go back to a story and its hard to find. Also wish there was some way to take a story out, or hide it, because there is just a couple that I really don't like....they aren't inappropriate, i just don't like them. THANKS Territoons

  I like this app a lot. My son is enjoying it as well. I love that instead of just turning on a video he's choosing this app first BUT it is very buggy. The app quits on start up every time we open it and freezes during almost every story we read. Hoping for a fix soon.

  I love the selection of books & how you can pick out books by categories, by reading number levels, and store some books in the "favorites" for offline reading. The only down side is there is a limit to how many books in favorites, but it's a large enough limit that we haven't run into running out of selections. And you can always switch it up with other books as the kids find other favorites. Definitely worth the $3.99/mo, it's very convenient & most important my kids love it.

  I work with children with Autism and have found this app to be extremely useful while working on their Functional Outcomes (Goals). I find the wide range of books helpful when teaching 'Wh' questions, sequence, recall, descriptive language skills, respective and responsive skills, social appropriateness and awareness, etc., etc. Additionally, it is a great source for an INSTANT book! No more lugging book bags around! No more books with CDs! Well worth the monthly fee!

  After you read your first story, an ad pops up asking for you to subscribe or refer a friend to get unlimited access. I referred 2 friends, which equals 2 weeks of unlimited access. Unfortunately, I do not have unlimited access. We still only get one book per day. This is very disappointing considering that this company now has 2 people's email address. Don't make the same mistake I did and give this company someone's email address.

  I love this app, its easy for my kids to navigate and we read on it almost daily. My kids love exploring the "world" and I love how they can read it themselves, or have the commuter read it to them. However, I don't like that some of the narrators are very monotone without expression and the songs can be choppy. I also don't Iike that for my younger child its hard to determine the buttons when on one page the green button is used to explore the world, and on another page it's the blue button used to explore the world, which is inconsistent and difficult for him to remember until he can read the words instead. It's cheaper then Reading Rainbow and a huge library!

  I love this app. My 3 year old son and I have made this part of our bedtime routine. When he lays down to sleep at night we use this app to read books before bed. It has tons of books to choose from. You can read them aloud yourself or have them read too you! It is absolutely my favorite app ever. I like that the price is affordable. If it were too expensive, I would just have to read him regular books but, this app makes it possible to pay a fair price and have a great selection of books! Keep up the great work!

  This is a great app for my daughter. She loves to read herself books with the play aloud feature. There is a good diversity of books available. Some are just cute and some are educational. A little pricey, but worth it!

  We downloaded this app on feb 12 during a family illness. The kids age 3 and 11 were bed ridden. One must understand that our children used to fall asleep in front of the tele every night . The books on this app in less than a week had both my children asking for more , even after they had recovered from the illness . Now it's something that I do every night with both my children . Our choices range from simple level one books to Jonah and the whale. Lastly i must add that Ayjay and the team at Farfaria are indeed amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
