  Played Planes for about an hour on my iPad Mini. Attempting to purchase the four special planes, app crashed waiting for App Store to open. Now, app crashes upon opening. Restarted app, iPad, and reinstalled app. Same thing. Appears to be working ok on iPhone 5. Would love it to work on the iPad. I think my grandson will love it. Please fix.

• Book Scanning to Unlock Planes Not Working

  Story and flying is entertaining for my son, but we could no matter what we tried, get the book scanning to work (Planes Storybook CD) to unlock the planes. It’s incredibly frustrating since we got the book, and my son keeps asking me about it. And no, I’m not paying the IAP to unlock it when I bought the book too. Get it working Disney! Where’s the QA?

  The design of the app is great, but please be aware that if you repurposed an old original iPad for your child, this app won't work on it, even though you have iOS 5. Works fine on iPad 2.

  My 4 year old twins love the app. They have been having a blast flying all the planes. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we cannot get one of the functions to work. If you own the story book you are supposed to be able to scan the back cover to unlock some of the planes. I have tried for 2 days with no luck in getting it to work... Other than that it is great. I find my self wanting to fly the planes just as much as the kids...

  What a super fun book and game! Read the story of the film, and help your favorite characters fly through hard situations--in the actual book! Then just fly with your favorite characters. This one is hard to put down for kids and their parents. Terrific way to get kids to read by truly engaging them in the story!

• Great, but disappointing

  My 5 year old loves this! And I would give it a 5. However, the scan mode does not work - at all. This is very disappointing, as we can do neither the photo scan, nor the book scan. We already own the book.

  Awesome! Thanks so much for creating this, although my two year old son who is an aviation geek and cant get enough of airplanes needs help with the game flying part he enjoyed this! We can't make it to Wisconsin this year where they will be holding the first showing at Eaa Oshkosh but this app. Is the closet thing to the movie, that he can not wait to see!!! The only bad thing is takes lots of storage on my iphone , Thank you!!!!!!

  This is the second Disney app (also La Luna Project) where the audio does not work and there are no obvious settings in the app itself or the iOS Settings section? Boo!!!

  Really fun game, 4-yr old loves it and I play it too-but theist update killed the sound in the flying portion, which is most of the fun!

  My son enjoys this game, however no matter how close he gets to the oil cans either right under it or just over it he doesn't collect it. If you set an age or skill set to make it easier then made the amount of cans higher then this app would definitely get 5 stats from me. As of now I give it a one

• Skips on ATV and lousy IAP after paying for book.

  Book is awful when trying to watch on ATV using Airplay. Nearly unwatchable/unreadable. After paying $7 for book, it still wants you to pay more on IAP.
