I've been using this on my iPhone 4, 4s and now 5s. iPad 1-3G and now Air. Like I said it works fine, took getting used to the new format, no issues except for the "cloud" I can use it with Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud but not Skydrive. Need to add Skydrive!!!!
Update for 5.0.7... Do you even read these reviews? Can't you see that people have been clamoring for basic printing capabilities for years now? What bugs are you working on that could be so important that you don't have time to add printing? --------------------------------------- I use this app all the time and like it well enough, especially since it's able to link to Dropbox. But I just discovered, now that I finally have AirPrint capability in my house, that Docs 2 Go can't print! You can Open In..., but you can't print. I had to go out to the Dropbox app in order to print my document. Seems crazy to me.
For some reason, any XLS file I edit with this will no longer open on Windows 8.1. I'm guessing its a problem with Windows but I'm not sure. I'm told that since the app tags the file name with xls it creates an error? Hmm.. Any thoughts?

Have always looked for something to assist my intended transition from laptop to Tablet. This is it!!! (For normal peoples usage) It's official!
I paid for this product almost three years ago. It worked perfectly until recently. I am not able to create powerpoint files or use any of the other premium features. Please fix this issue asap.
I've been using this on my iPhone 3, 4, 4s and now 5s. iPad 1-3G and now Air. Like I said it works fine, took getting used to the new format, no issues except for the "cloud" I can use it with Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud but not Skydrive. They need to add that option.
I recently purchased this for my iPad Mini and iPhone 5 (both iOS 7.0.4). I have opened, and edited both Word and Excel documents. I have created a new word document. Have opened documents using Dropbox and have saved files to my Mini and iPhone. I have had Zero problems thus far. I am a happy camper. On my wish list for future updates though... 1. Ability to view and edit headers and footers. 2. A way to save Word and Excel documents as PDF files from within DTG.
The sync feature interferes with navigating through the app. There is no ability to toggle sync to "off". This degrades usability..
The tools have a pretty rich feature set, but lack of support for Skydrive is a significant gap that needs to be addressed in the next update.
So since my laptop took a dump I have been looking for a way to update and create documents and spreadsheets using my iPad. I would love to have office on it and the ability to also work with Microsoft publisher but just having the ability to update my drop box and google drive documents has been great and worth the money. We paid hundreds of dollars for office programs so thinking I will get anything comparable to them for 17 bucks would be funny. For the money I have been able to use my iPad for the majority of the things I needed. I can always hop on my desktop or laptop later and make it prettier. I do love the share feature as well to send documents directly to the team or my reports to my boss.
Note that I only use the MSWord edit & pdf reader features of this product. I’ve tried half-a-dozen other products for document access, editing, & synch w/computer. I’ve found only DocToGo provides the level of synch I need. I recant my prior review that the new version of this product is unusable, as the synch failure issue is fixed (at least for me using a new iPhone5C iOS7.0.4, & MacBookPro 17” i5 & OS10.9.1). I carry 3.6 GB of MSWord, and pdf files on my phone (some of which are textbooks with chapter files up to 5MB in size). If I change a single word in a file on my phone in DTG, upon synch that word is changed in the copy of the file on my computer and vise versa. Moreover, the file/folder hierarchy structure on the phone is exactly the same as on my computer, making adding or deleting files a snap. To me these two features are indispensable, and no other product I’ve tried synchs like this. Now that it’s working again, synch takes only 1-2 minutes. I love the new user interface, which has made altering files, with colored text and highlighting, much faster. Yes, there are bugs with each update which have made the app unusable at times (I’ve been using it since early PalmPilot days), but for purely text file use, there’s nothing out there that comes close. If DataViz can get their act together and consistently publish updates which don’t crash and burn, I’ll give DTG the 5th star rating.
I use this app all the time and like it well enough, especially since it's able to link to Dropbox. Though the app is decent, it's certainly not in the same category as Microsoft Office. It could use a lot of work. Considering the app has been out as long as it has, I'd have to say it should be a lot better by now.
Really like the app, despite some of the bugs, but can we PLEASE get a way to AirPrint these files? Can't seem to make that happen.
There are still a lot of improvements to be made. But what bugs me the most is that word count doesn't work whether you highlight your document or not.
Background: I needed a replacement for Quickoffice since the app now requires a google account to be used... very stupid move google! A tried a few of the other Office apps but this one is the best for my needs: Pros: • No crashes so far • good word and excel features - basically everything I need • good file explorer and file manager • at least my files stay intact between desktop and iPhone • excellent desktop synchronization app Missing features/problems: • Program closes when in background (-1/2 star) • Slow rendering on iPhone 4S (-1/2 star) • Password protection for the whole app • no vertical alignment in spreadsheet cells • cannot create new directories or easily move files around • only 3 fonts! • cannot create PowerPoint files (although I never needed to do this) The first 2 issues are a bit annoying, this 4 stars only.
Been using documents to go since Palm os days. In that last year I went to an iPhone and was struggling with all my windows based files not being available on my mobile device. This app bridged that gap. Synch works great too
I'm able to access all of the major cloud services. I'm thrilled.
Still ultimately better than its competitors (though also rife with glitches itself...these apps are like politicians—you vote for the one that stinks less, though each still stink), HOWEVER, that silly addition of the splash screen at EVERY startup (latest update) is about as obnoxious as the word obnoxious itself. PLEASE get rid of that...using this app for a live presentation gets irritating when you've got to work around such a silly delay.
The update take a lot of features that the preview version has.

I paid for the ability to create and edit PowerPoint and before all the updates this capability was working fine now it's non existing. Either refund my money or fix the ability to create and edit PowerPoint.
Still, I can't create powerpoint presentations on this new version update. I purchased the app for full access for all the MS functions on my ipad. I will be very happy if you will bring back the feature of creating new powerpoint presentation on your next update. I hope you consider this. Thank you.
I bought Documents To Go years ago always assuming that the ability to print was just a bug fix away. Yet the latest version has come out and you still cannot print. A word processing program that cannot print just seems kind of ridiculous. It is ok for viewing documents via cloud services, but really its like they are going out of their way at this point to deny the most basic of office software functionality: to print your document.
Cannot create PowerPoint and cannot print. Premium crap.
All I want to do is create a presentation. Every time I try to add pics to my presentation, the app drops & sends me back to my Homepage. So, now I'm forced to buy another app to do the job this app said it can do...
I purchased this app about three years ago, and lived it. But over the passed 4 months, since I bought an iPhone 5, this app has been useless. I can't open docs from my google drive account, I'm having trouble syncing other docs to my desktop, and the app continually gets stuck in the spinning pinwheel loading screen. I really hope the developers fix these issues, because I really used to love this app. But now, it's more frustrating than anything. I need to find a new app!!
Very misleading.
You can't create power point on the premium version ad advertised. You can't create headers or footers in Word, yet you can on the Pages app. And you can't get a refund! Very disappointed!
I've had trouble--on all my devices--with Docs to Go syncing with Dropbox in the past week. Now I'm getting error messages that it can't open files that it could open 15 minutes before. Every time this happens the only recourse is to reinstall my Dropbox folder on DTG and re-download the files. Annoying. And I hate this new update. Where is the scroll bar on the side that allowed me to move through a huge doc quickly? I write 100k books, and having to swipe my finger to find a certain section is awful and takes FOREVER. It was one of the things I loved about this app. The bar across the top reduces my working space when I have the keyboard open, everything that used to take one tap now takes double the work, and the undo/redo buttons are perfectly placed for accidental hitting. Can we bring back the old stuff everyone loved, Dataviz? I wish I could revert back to the old Docs to Go. Sigh.
Don't know why but now the program just closes when syncing to my google drive or anything else. The whole purpose of this program was for that feature. Another waste of money with an app for an apple product that is supposed to be more stable than Microsoft but so far I have not seen anything proving it. Constant updates screwing up things we pay for and what we pay for is short lived here. Annoyed with all the wasted money when a laptop can be purchased for what we pay for an iPad these days and at least we can use it.
Warning! The app locks up tight as a drum on the 60000 cell Excel file I keep in Dropbox.
Great app but after upgrading my iPad iOS it keeps crashing. The only fix is to delete app and reload loosing all saved data.
While I have had this app for a very long time all of the sudden when I updated my OS it does not work. Needs to be updated, do not purchase until it is fixed.
Can't create or edit PowerPoint files. Dated clunky UI. Needs WebDAV support. At least it can open and save word and excel files without corrupting them.
I've been using this app for several months now with fair success but in the past couple of weeks it will no longer sync with my desktop and the app crashes when I attempt to open on my IPad. Huge interruption in my work not being able to access my files away from my desk.
This app no longer works on my ipad! It works just fine on my iphone but I NEED it more on the ipad!I Once opened on the ipad it just freezes. I have tried deleting and reistalling several times to no avail. HELP!
This app is useless, can only be used for viewing not editing.
a complete waste of my time and money. The old one worked fine. The current version is unworkable. NO, worse than unworkable. I just spent an hour deleting duplicate files it decided to create. In two very important folders, I found more than 7,000 duplicates, mainly because I repeated a sync 4 or 5 times .
A large file will almost sync but then breaks connection. There is no way to stop the app from trying to sync repeatedly and trying to delete the file crashes the app. THE ONLy REMEDY IS TO UNINSTALL THEN REINSTALL, WHICH THEN REQUIRES A COMPLETE RESYNC BEING REQUIRED Aside from the above, the app should permit the option of "turning off" sync- it annoyingly pops up repetitively as one navigates through the folders.
• Add app PASSWORD protection as an option. • Add the ability to rename items and folders! • Add "search" option. To find words in documents and PDFs, etc… • Still needs a lot of work! Lots of bugs and creating & editing docs are so difficult. Sad I paid this much for an app that continually has so many issues!
Won't open Excel files.
Trying to edit a spreadsheet with formulas. It says it has unsupported functions, everything is locked. Worthless.
Don't seem to be able to add images on the PowerPoint. Quick office seems to be the only one that can do that, and you have use google drive for that , which has been a pain! Please fix!
Love the product but the update needs fixes. I enter many number values to spreadsheets. Now, every time I enter a number value and switch to my next cell or hit return it reverts back to letters instead. Please fix.
Since the latest iOS fixes, this app will not even open on my iPad. I suspect an iOS compatibility issue. This is one of my mainstay apps for work.
This is still my "go to" app for spreadsheets and editing MS docs (yes even with office 365). Beats MS apps for the ipad (there are zero MS editing apps for the ipad, only the iphone). That being said, please add cloud connector for Skydrive.
This app doesn't work with my iPhone 5S. All the features work fine, but I can't sync any files to any of my cloud services. App crashes! I've sent emails to tech support, but they have not given me any resolution!! This is unacceptable!
Really great app, but it does not have Skydrive access, which in use religiously.
You claim it can edit and create powerpoints but all it can do is view them.

My child's school sends weekly announcements with embedded art. Documents to go will not show the doc. Please up date the program.
Crashes every time since upgrading to ios 7. Everything else works great.
After all of these years, one would think that Documents to Go would have the ability to organize and manage your documents on the device with folders. I usually out in the field without connectivity and would like to keep my documents organized on my iPad. And when I am on wifi, how about being able to air print???

About every third time I use this annoying app I get a message like - sync failed ensure you have a valid internet connection. Every time I get this message I have a vg internet connection but docs to go doesn't care. Please fix this. I am syncing thru the excellent SugsrSync. Thanks.

It is amazing to me that with the price tag on this software and as a business software SPELL CHECK is missing and it's BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD crashes with the most basic of editing functions...come on people step up to the plate and get this right please...!!! Having said that...loving the UI feel and seems to be syncing with Dropbox again (Stable)...
I’m an author and only use the word processing function on this app. I love the cloud features and I love the syncing features. I would give this app 5 stars if it wasn't for the constant crashing that occurs. If I switch to another program and back, 1 out of 4 times the story (or whatever) I was writing is gone. It has a semi-funtional auto save but I still lose content and end up writing the same sentences over and over again. It also crashes right before a save, with the outcome being that after typing 2 paragraphs I go to save it all and trigger some bug that gets rid of all everything I've written…It's a total mess that, if de-bugged, would make this a great purchase. Small fixes that would make this app 5 stars: 1. Create auto-correction 2. Better use of screen real estate. Menus etc. have become much more blocky and awkward in this update. 3. Add a scroll bar, like the previous one, that can be moved by touch. I’m working with large document and simple scrolling through to page 100 every time the app crashes or I open up the file is just ridiculous. 4. And FIX THE CRASHES!
I often use this app for Excel and Word. I like that you can now select multiple cells in Excel more easily and changing the format for cells is easier. But there is now no way to insert rows or columns. I'm not a fan of having to enter edit mode by pushing yet another button. PowerPoint seems easier now, though I've not had the chance to use it enough to make a call on that.
I use this app to take notes in my college classes and upon my most recent sync I lost a month's worth of notes. Thanks DocToGo! You just screwed me for my test tomorrow.
I used to use this app all the time with only a few and far in between hiccups or crashes. Recently after the update it seems to do it all the time after I save a document and go to switch to a different one. I've lost so much time and work because the recently saved document is corrupt or "temporary files are missing components" I'm looking for a new app now. What a waste. At least I got two years of use out it before it became such a horrible app.
I love this app with Bluetooth keyboard. Great for taking notes in meetings. Just needs a spell check feature and would give 5 stars.
This latest version is terrible. Especially the PDF viewer is so awkward to use that I'm using the Dropbox viewer again. Doesn't open documents full screen, zooming in and out doesn't work as in most other apps and there is always this stupid red navigation bar popping up. Also the spreadsheet editor has become worse while old bugs are still not fixed.
Message to the developers. Please read shortcomings of this app and fix. DTG can be the best. The foundation is there. But so are the problems. My chief issue is the long update times as I move though the folder hierarchy of my Box.com cloud storage file. It takes too long so I am going back to using Polaris Office. Polaris responds much quicker.
I hate this new update. 30 seconds into it I'm fed up. I only use Dropbox but I've got a huge sidebar giving me options ill never use. I tried to write an entry in a 70 page document and it won't let me scroll. When I finally manually page flipped 70 pages deep I couldn't type. I finally noticed a keyboard button and pressed it only to have it take me all the way back to page one! I've been a loyal user of this software for years, why????
Its great now after the update, though I cant make a Power Point Presentation nor add slided toman existente one or change its photos. I can only change text so far, please fin it or explain how its done. $17 dollars is woth am explanation.
Ever since the update, You cannot write/edit Notes from the PowerPoint slides. This is so frustrating because sometimes you do not want to write/edit on the slides but rather on NOTES from the PowerPoint slides itself. Please amend ASAP!

Where are the paragraph tab indents AND Powerpoint? I can't make powerpoints now for school and the tab indents are crucial for academic papers. Why did you remove it?
Was working for me now worthless. Can not send a xcel file in right format, sends it as a word document. Fix or give me a refund. Searching for other apps now. Would not recommend this app to people that want to send files.
