- Screens will no longer rotate when you rotate the device, which was a really stupid and annoying issue and I apologize for not fixing it sooner.
- A few other very small changes that no one will notice.

Splitcaster is the best way to time track, running, swimming, cycling and speedskating races. With Splitcaster, you'll not only know the times for each split you record, you'll also know the distance and pace for those splits and the estimated finish time as the race unfolds. Effortlessly.

Want to share race splits with friends, family and other fans on Twitter†? Splitcaster handles that for you as well, with just a couple of taps and NO TYPING REQUIRED.

Splitcaster not only brings never before seen features to race timing, it does so in a way that lets you spend more time actually watching the race. And the point of watching a race is... *watching* the race, right?

Some other timing apps make you tell *it* what split you are about to take, before you take it. But Splitcaster tells *you* the distance of each split you take. And you aren't limited to recording full laps. Splitcaster is smart enough to know when you are recording splits for half laps or, in some cases, even 1/4 and 3/4 laps. And if you can only catch a couple of the splits along the course of a road race, no problem. Splitcaster will automatically label whatever splits you are able to time and it will update pace information for you.

You'll always know what pace the athletes you are tracking are on. And you can quickly see the pace for each split you record. How much did they slow down or speed up that last lap? Find out with a tap.

As the race happens, or after the race has been completed, you can quickly see how fast the athletes were going between any two splits. Rather than try to crunch the numbers in your head, let Splitcaster do the math for you. For example, if you've timed every lap and every kilometer split of a 10000m race, you can quickly see how fast they covered the distance from 1600m to 3200m, or 5000m to 10000m, or 8000m to 8800m. If you've timed it, you can analyze it.

Quickly and easily post race updates to Twitter†. Record a split, and with a few taps (and without any typing), you can share race updates with friends, family and other fans who can't be there in person. Put an end to typing race times and distances into your Twitter app and let Splitcaster do it for you so that you can focus on the race.

Share a completed race, including all splits, notes, and other race data, via email. Or just keep a log of races on your iPhone to review in the months ahead. You can sort your saved races by race date or race distance.

If you spend any time watching track, running, swimming, cycling, speedskating, or any other sport that involves racing and taking splits, Splitcaster can bring your enjoyment of the sport to a whole new level.

Be sure to check out Split Finder, also available in the App Store.

Helps my kids sit through a 10k!!

  • What coaches still need from this app

    by ttrimbach

This app is easy to use and the analysis you can do with the estimated finish time is great. However, as a coach of a team, it would be really helpful if this app had the ability to time more than one athlete at a time and if it was searchable by athlete, so I could easily pull up a history of a specific athlete's split/finish time data from meet to meet.

  • Big track meets

I love using the app whenever I'm watching a live meet to follow splits but also predict finish. But what I love most is being able for others to tweet live coverage of meets outside my area so I can still follow closely events that aren't on TV or Internet. Worth every penny!

  • Love this app!

Love everything about this app! Especially the estimated finish time feature. I would love to get a multiple athlete tracking version of this. Well done!

  • Must have for anyone who needs to track time
