Customer Reviews

  • A pretty good twitter client.

    by dtinelli85

This app does several things that I like more than the official twitter app. Timelines and reply chains are easier to read, especially after the redesigned twitter interface. I don't understand why there is no in-app notification area for retweets and favorites. Having to click on an individual tweet to see if it's been favorited or retweeted (or worse, check email for the notifications) is a really bad solution. Almost bad enough to make me stop using the app... But unfortunately the official twitter app is just slightly more offensive with the way it now handles conversations. My client crashes at least 2-3 times a day. This is more if a recent problem. I'd like to see reply/retweet buttons right in the timeline, because the swipe gestures either don't work or take too long. Overall, though, pretty decent experience.

  • !

    by Bodrhm

    Very gooooooood

  • Wish swipe features were different

    by Lemon Limex

Tweetbot wins, everytine. I try using twitterific every time the release a major update and always return to Tweetbot. That said, I really don't like the short swipe to favorite or retweet. Too easy to do on accident, IMO. Would like to be able to turn it off.

  • Nicely done

    by Daniel Levy

Great update from the precious iOS 6 version. Worth the purchase.

  • Better than the standard Twitter app!

    by sooner chick

This app is great and I've been using it for over a year now! It is overall better than the standard twitter app in display. Although while paying a price for this seems off-putting, it is worth it in the long run. A few things I would like to see is the ability to see who has favorited/retweeted our tweets without favstar and see who has retweeted or favorite our own retweets. These I feel could be easily implemented and I hope to see them in a near update!

  • Needs private DM notification option

    by _Marinela

I love this app. I have had it since tweetbot 2 was released. It's the best twitter out there, and when I say I've tried them all, I've tried them ALL! The only thing that actually bothers me about this app is that there is no option to set your DM notifications to private. I don't want my DMs showing on my Lockscreen for anyone to see. We all know how obsessive, possessive, and almost secretive iPhone users are with their phones, so why wouldn't there be a private option included? It'd be great if we could set it to private and have a notification show that says "you have a new DM", that's it. No name, no message. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

  • Meticulous design

    by xkawai

The reboot was SO worth the wait. I love swipe gestures (short/long tweet swipe, theme switch)! Display customization is easy and understandable, the optionable last two nav icons are quick-select and versatile. Ahh I love it!

  • Great but a few additions would make it perfect

    by MikeyyMulahh

I love this app, i didnt like it at first but i do after trying out others. The only things missing is the ability to send pictures in DM, being able to change your header & also RTs should show up in the order they were RT'ed. A lot of my old tweets get retweeted but i can never see because i have to scroll through all my new RT's first.

  • The best Twitter client out there

    by Colton Anglin

Great design, great functionality, great features and, great fun!

  • :)

    by mufasagetsatb

Would give 5 stars if we could see who follows us Love the app

  • The only reason I keep using twitter.

    by taroliw

An amazingly good app. I love that I can cooperatively use it between iOS and Mac OS X. If I were forced to use Twitter's app, I'd stop using Twitter altogether.

  • Back and forth, back and forth

    by metllicamilitia

Why are there so many Twitter clients? I was hesitant to purchase Tweetbot 3 as I already had another paid Twitter client that I liked, but with all the talk I had to try it. I liked a lot about both apps, I ended up removing Tweetbot...for about a week. Then I reinstalled it and removed the other Twitter client, no regrets. Image throwaway gamification is one of the things that really pulled me back.

  • Fantastic app.

    by Brian Armas

I'd have to recommend this app to anyone who uses Twitter. It's sleek, elegant, and much more functional.

  • Needs improvement

    by A1 69!

It will be great if when you retweet something, that the retweet icon light up as the same when you favorite someone's tweet.

  • The only twitter app that matters

    by Beautyislikeyeah

I love everything about it. I love the mute filters, the animations, the gestures, and the way they implemented night mode. It's great.

  • Great App needs to be Improved

    by Francis Yan

Not the best, but better than the official. Keep it up!

  • Wish I could give it 50 stars.

    by SizS1ck

Best twitter app. Nothing else need be said but I'll do it anyways. All advanced twitter power-user features are included and bundled in a slick intuitive interface.

  • Notifications

    by Cole Nichols

I love this app but I would like it so much more if it went into more detail about the notifications like showing in the notification center who favorited or retweeted my tweets so I don't have to go to my tweet and check it myself. Until they add that I don't think I can use it.

  • Beautiful and elegant

    by TEDiferp

After using TB3 for a while, I can say that I prefer this version to the previous. It is very modern and feels super great to use. Best twitter client.

  • Best Twitter app

    by Nopicknopame

Tweetbot has always had the best features but I never liked the old design. Tweetbot 3 has completely new design. Definitely my go to twitter app.

  • HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

    by Saint0327

Tweetbot 2 is much better. I can appreciate that this app has been iOS 7 sugar coated but at the expense of functionality. Poor effort. There is no way to change to reader view while viewing a web page. Half of the viewing area is taken up with the navigation bars. Why? I'll never understand why tweetbot does not give you the option to scroll through your tweets in landscape. This is just plain stupid! The list view has definitely taken two steps back. I am extremely disappointed with this "upgrade". If you like the original tweetbot then stick with it & save your cash. Tweetbot 3 is a joke!

  • Ugh!

    by SerJeeOh

I bought after having the previous version. & the screen turns black constantly I have to force close in mid tweet and restart. The words get really spaced out like "this App Rules" & I lost all my drafts. This is a mess with no improvements! Suggestion: feature for changing banners.

  • Needs work

    by Mitman4

Needs a lot of work and possibly even a new developer. Developer is stuck up and pretentious.

  • Great on iPhone

    by Domenic15

Will give a higher rating when we get an iPad version.

  • Found a bug

    by Danny Elephant

When i compose Chinese and input "。" at the end of the sentence, the tweet posted has two "。".

  • Unhappy

    by Alexeiusa

I buy this new one for a ridiculous price to be able to accommodate you not having iOS 7 support and the TL loading is slow. BEYOND ANNOYED! It should flow like a river for what I paid.

  • Excellent Twitter Client

    by Justin Norman

Great features, reasonable price, and the designers have taken advantage of the new iOS aesthetic more so than just about any other app I've seen. Worth the buy if you use Twitter frequently and want something that's a step up from the default client.

  • Awesome

    by Cleardragon

I have to say I been using this app for awhile now and see no reason to try any others . Love love love the night mode and it should be in more apps

  • 100% worth the money

    by weetly

This version of Tweetbot is a beautiful app, and I would never want to use any other Twitter client on my iPhone. It's amazing, and definitely worth the price.

  • Just one thing! Please!

    by Aaaaagghhhhhhhj

Love the app, beautiful interface and features, I just wish it would allow notifications by user, when a specific user tweets. The twitter app allows this, and I love it. Right now I have both just to get the notifications. One upgrade and it's a 5/5 in my book.

  • Awesome

    by tethompsqwd

    Awesome

  • Only thing that drives me nuts....

    by Meat Curtains 4 U

Original tweet, then replies go........upward? Makes zero sense. Just a bad flow to the conversation. Please Tweetbot Jesus, with the next update, PLEASE have all replies drop below the tweet.

  • Perfect.

    by Tyro30

Tweetbot is absolutely essential to the Twitter experience.

  • Awesome!

    by Austin Shavalier

This app is great. But I wish that you could get rid of all the sounds except incoming notifications. With the "notifications only" setting for sounds, it still makes a noise when you retweet, favorite, and tweet. Other than that the app is great! Update: I really want an iPad version for the app! I've been waiting a while now! And also, it is a little slow at getting updates. Twitter released the update that included the ability for pictures in DM's a while ago, and tweetbot still does not have that option. I wish they were a little faster with updates.

  • Great app

    by Peter Merrill

The app is great. I wish I could see more interactions. It would be nice to have a list of new follows and tweets of mine that are favorited.

  • GREAT APP!

    by techmonkey501

I was a little skeptical about getting this app but then I started reading these reviews and I was like why not so I got it and it looks so good and is so easy and makes more sense and is more customizable to what parts of Twitter you yourself use the most! I definitely recommend this over the regular twitter app

  • Design and simplicity

    by Robert450

This is the best Twitter app I've found for iOS. Excellent design that should be an inspiration to Apple. Takes iOS 7 to a new level. Great functionality too!

  • picture only tweets problem!

    by tythemast

whenever I try to view picture only tweets on a users account the page doesn't load. please fix it

  • Fantastic, no native iPad interface

    by benjamin239

As much as I liked Tweetbot 2, I did not hesitate when Tweetbot 3 came out. I have been proven right as this application is absolutely a joy to use and has a beautiful, fluid interface. I have been using it for many months and I unfortunately thought they removed support for Instapaper so I've been eMailing links to Instapaper instead but I found it yesterday! I was super excited. My only complaint is that Tweetbot 3 does not have an iPad interface when Tweetbot 2 did. I'm looking forward to what is to come next.

  • Best twitter client

    by mpstrick

The color contrast is now perfect. Supports lists great. Must buy :)

  • So good

    by Brandon Villella

Can't say enough good about it. The UI is perfect in almost every way.

  • The Best App :)

    by djphillyiam

This is one of the best twitter app! I wouldn't use any other but this one :)

  • Bad

    by Goldstyle

Very clunking. Swiping is jilted. Can't see faves without going to FavStar but the numbers are vastly different. Also, the photos on each person's page don't come with the caption AKA the tweet! I wasted $5.

  • Good

    by Danny Elephant

It crashes less frequently since the last update.

  • I cant see a all photo in tweets

    by Ipasxx

Why not can see all photos in tweets users

  • Tweetbot 2 is better

    by mostafa maan

Tweetbot 2 is much better and faster and it has many beautiful soundeffect not like tweetbot 3

  • It's better then twitter right now

    by Joseph Vangas

Overall it's a good feeling app my only problem with is that it doesn't happen to tap into the mobile notifications for specific profiles that the default Twitter app has

  • One word.

    by Ahmad Al Maaz

    Awesome.

  • Too buggy to recommend

    by jahnny_

While I love the design and features of Tweetbot, I cannot recommend it. I, and many friends who use this app are plagued by a bug where Tweetbot "forgets" your position in the timeline, requiring you to scroll through 100s of tweets to find where you left off. This incompetence in it's core function renders it pretty useless until the bug is resolved.

  • Awesome

    by Canyoncity

I had the ios 6 version but since it's going to get buggy, I had to buy the ios7 version which i love & enjoy. Now when I get a notification of my tweet getting favoriting or retweet is there a way of checking that favorite or retweet to view at a later time? Instead of trying to look for that tweet.

  • What's with the huge cache?

    by Erjonb23

The app is great I'll give it that, probably the fastest twitter client. But within 2 hours of using this app, I had a 200mb cache. I've used the official twitter app for 4 months and it wasn't even up to that size. This should be fixed ASAP

  • Awesome App!

    by sAAmsAAm

Perfect, but still not fully compatible with iPad ?!

  • Please add more features!

    by Lauren32123

I really like this app but I'd like a more unified notifications area (a place like in the regular Twitter app where you can see retweets and favorites) as well as push notifications! I have to have the regular Twitter app downloaded so that I get these notifications, and that's a waste to me.

  • Nice

    by Camilo Roa

The best client for Twitter!... Please in spanish ;)

  • Crashes on startup

    by anonymous face

    Worked yesterday, crashes today.

  • Great app! Favorites are a little confusing

    by Karen S.

I love the app, it is very easy to use and it has various unique features that make it worth your money. The only flaw I would have to say this app has is working with favorites. Upon favoriting someone's tweet in order to show you who else has favorited it the app takes you to something called "fav star" I find it very confusing. It also will not show you the people who favorited your tweet unless you turn on the notification and individual click on the tweet. If there was a way to remove fav star that would be awesome. Either way this is still a great app! Love the mute feature!

  • Flawless

    by Ukemochi5789

I was using Twitterific for a long time because Tweetbot was outdated and had less swiping abilities. With this update, hands down the best.

  • by qhhhh

too expensive, 0.99 $ is fine

  • Love this app!!

    by BubbaTheMonkey

    #ReviewFridays

  • Time for notification updates?

    by ppaattyv

How come the app NEVER notify me when I get mentions/retweets/favorites?!?!?! I bought this since it came out and the problem still has not been fixed. Really disappointed.

  • Lists so bad

    by Tweetbot lover

The lists in tweetbot3 are very bad. The old version was better. I tweeted and emailed them but nothing in return. Why?

  • Love this app

    by Jimpooolgfghf

Great twitter client and the only thing keeping it from a perfect rating is the fact that if I'm paying $5 for it, it should have iPad compatibility too.

  • Bittersweet

    by sha'Queelah

    - Love the app. - Hate the constant fees for updates. I wish the app allowed us to; send and receive photos via direct messages, retweet private accounts that we follow, and accept pending requests. Pleaaaaaaaase, take our reviews seriously. This app is by far the most unique twitter app to date.. Thanks.

  • The Best

    by YoungMedic

    BRING US THE IPAD VERSION!!

  • Awesome

    by nmock

I make apps for a living and I can say that the attention to detail and user experience are top notch. I would love to have an iPad version, though, PLEASE!!!

    by Dr_Kreb

    Awesome App.

  • Great app, poor business ethics

    by Serataru83

This app is great. The fact that the company/devs are so greedy that they chose to circumvent the system and create a new version of the same app so they could charge us all for an update is utter trash. Tapbots, get your act together. If you do this again, you'll lose so many customers.

  • HELLO ANYONE THERE????

    by MrLinguini

SIRI NOT WORKING ON TWEETBOT APP. Also....Can't look at ALL photos On the timeline. Gets stuck on "loading". Thanks

  • Pics probs

    by againes15

Sometimes pictures will not "flick" off the screen

  • 1star

    by Originalpaul

1 star just for making us,existing users pay again for an update.!!

  • ALMOST perfect.

    by CityOf

I've always loved the Tweetbot twitter client except for one thing. All I would like is to be able to switch to a dark theme. It would then be perfect. UPDATE: It's now perfect. Ask and you shall receive. Well done, team. UPDATE #2: Media view isn't loading the second wave of content. UPDATE #3: I'm now getting notifications a day late.

  • Great

    by Dhall381

I was hesitant to buy this app given the price tag and the fact that it wasn't a universal purchase. However, I'm glad did. So many more features than the native app. It's a pleasure to use. Love the streaming updates. Great app for people who use Twitter a lot. Well done.

  • There is no competition.

    by cosus

Other twitter apps just use mere gimmicks v

  • I want to love it.. but

    by mat7h3w

First off, unlike others, I do actually like the iOS 7 appearance and functionality. This app is almost, almost worth it. Sadly, iPads have existed a long time now. Tweetbot 3 has been out for awhile. Where is Tweetbot 3 for the iPad? Secondly, with iPads being out for so long, why isn't this universal? Having to buy the same app twice is getting old. I know developers deserve some money for their work. However, between having to buy the same app twice, and then being fleeced with constant in-app purchases, it really gets old. It gets worse when "paid" apps, still have ads as well. This could be a full 5 stars, if built in Twitter ads were blocked, and it was universal.

  • Amazing but...

    by jeanskyz

This app is AMAZING! I've tried various Twitter clients but this app stands out. The only feature I didn't like is the "automatic theme switching". It would be better if the theme will change according to the time.

  • Notifications

    by CTOACE

It'd be nice if you got notifications for mentions or follows

  • Great!

    by NickZamora

This app is miles better than the official Twitter app, the price is a little high but it's been worth it for me so far. I would recommend this for everyone who uses twitter a lot.

  • Absolutely worth it

    by lls5

If you spend a decent amount of time on Twitter, this is definitely the best experience on any device.

  • Love it!

    by Miguelitin

This app is amazing! Everything is wonderful about it. Only thing that would make me love it more is if they'd add an "interactions" tab like the default twitter app and sometimes pictures don't load! I guess they're just minor things.

  • Perfect

    by Allen Shull

    Just beautiful

  • Perfect but 1 thing

    by jay_bbmg

App is perfect but can you bring back the feature where you can manually customize the name of your location :(

  • Favstar

    by uncchuckie3

Get rid of favstar. Just show who favorited the tweets

  • The best twitter app for iOS

    by TechnoguruPR

No doubt best twitter app for iOS. Had all the features you need and easy and convenience.

  • Don't

    by GreatBernzini

DO NOT BUY IT if you already have the previous version. Same features with a new display at an abusing price. I made a mistake thinking it would provide new tools. It doesn't. I do not recommend it. Buy version 2 instead. It's cheaper.

  • Best twitter clients ever :)

    by Deabi

Simply amazing twitter client :) wish I have a universal app for this

  • Garbage compared to TweetBot 2

    by ThomasD904

I feel like I'm watching a slideshow of someone scrolling down a timeline sometimes.

  • This is Twitter!

    by TigerRaven1980

No need for any other client on your iPhone! It's leaps and bounds better than the official client, and is much more user-friendly. I can't recommend this enough!

  • TERRIBLE. NEEDS MAJOR WORK

    by WESTISDE RESIDER

1)I want to be able to see who favorited each tweet when I click the # of the favorites on each tweet and not be sent to another favstar 2) I want to see the most retweeted/favorited replies to each tweet at the top after I swipe left on a tweet. 3) I want to be able to see US trends and not have to click a specific city! C'mon guys. Fix for 5 stars. Alright.

  • Annoyed.

    by Impervious17

I would give this 5 stars, but I really hate how tweetbot uses favstar to view favorites. Favstar does not have live updates on favorites which is very frustrating.

  • A wholehearted regression

    by Quaunaut

This review was written based on over three months of using the app. I had really liked the second version, but the third takes several steps back in design, features, and overall flow. Certain UI features are never explained to the user, and as a result, you have no reasonable way to know how to perform them. Gestures have been removed from their previous state, and in several places, the design makes it difficult to read text in sunlight, where it did not before. Jumping between accounts takes much too long, removing accounts is not obvious, and still, the inbuilt Twitter account settings are not used. On top of all of this, the new sounds are much lower quality, and over the iPhone speaker, come out distorted. There is also A problem with the user interface not using space very efficiently, and still a lack of a proper singular notification feed. Overall, I have been terribly disappointed, and probably am going to be moving on to a Nother Twitter client soon.
