Customer Reviews

  • Good app but not great

    by Corea5

Memo App Good app for note taking the few things that keeps it from being great are; it's need the "lens" to zoom in on the line for more precise note taking. It would also be helpful if the app rotated for "landscape" use.

  • Pretty good

    by Yoyo10king

The app runs pretty well and the recognition is good but it would be better if i could scroll down on the page.

  • Ok it allows me to write?

    by iMikeTouch

Why can't it convert the hand writing to text on the screen...now that would be useful... Sending the text to file is extra work and waste of time.

  • Superb

    by fjpoblam

I was waiting and waiting for Penultimate on my iPhone … no such luck. This is even better: translates my writing to text, exports to Evernote. What a timesaver for a poor thumbist when I’m out and about.

  • It's pretty good !

    by Sally Edwards(786)

    That's better than penultimate!

  • Just a Quick Noe

    by MizPurl

Need to jot a quick note? This app does that. I use it a lot! Nothing fancy, but just what I need.

  • Excellent App

    by PhatBerter

I love this App, I use it every single day. I'm always looking for a piece of paper and a pen to jot something down and always scrambling. Since I always have my iPad with me, this is perfect. I love the many ways you can export your notes and I'm really impressed with what ever algorithm they use to decipher my chicken scratch. A+

  • Memo review

    by Davpet

Very good. Would like to see an arrow to go forward and backward to the different pages.

  • Superb app:

    by Naduni

This is an incredibly good app. As an academic, I write my thoughts on the fly and later convert to text and use those to develop full-fledged notes. The recognition dictionary is the best in the market. I get more than 95% accuracy in recognition even for my scripted handwriting. I will recommend this app any day.

  • Not bad .......

    by Araf_raZkr

If it had word conversion without Internet connection , I would rate it 5star <<<

  • Very Useful App

    by RobB2011

I no longer need to leave lists and pieces of paper all over my desk.

  • Landscape writing

    by Bradbot1983

I like this app. But is there landscape college rule paper that you can scroll down and just treat like an infinite parchment? If they do than I change this to a 5

  • Auto text convert toggle

    by Acpvg

Can you guys make it automatic to convert text. But if you don't want it you can toggle off/on

  • Ehh

    by Hedy LaKnish

Just ok. Hard to read what I have written.

  • Come on!

    by Marang1966

This would be a great app and a nice change from the new eye-blinding notepad via IOS-7. I say this would be and easily could be if it could be used in LANDSCAPE mode.

  • Almost perfect

    by Meridian2327

Needs to have the ability to rotate to landscape. Other than that, works perfectly!

  • The Best Things Can Be The Simplest Things

    by GirleeGolfer

Well, not 'that' simple, however.... A simple and quick paper alternative. Used primarily on my iPad, with a stylus. Sits on my bar for quick access. Will definitely be purchasing the upgrade for handwriting recognition, for exporting as text. Looking forward to the Intuos integration. FYI... For pen options (diameter and ink color), hold the pen symbol for a couple seconds. Clear the page by doing same with the eraser symbol, or simply erase using the eraser option. ---------- Update: Upgrade purchase general uses... Writing a note and sending it as a text message or email. I use Evernote and appreciate exporting, as editable text.

Memo has been a joy to work with. Freehand sketches and memos at work. My 7 year old gets "into" his homework because he can doodle on Memo.

  • Good enough

    by Writer 7749

    Not perfect but good enough

  • favorite drawing tool

    by ever2468

simple, intuitive, functional. everything you need and nothing you don't. that's good design.

  • Disapointed

    by Vmg73

Can't even test one the convert to text function. Not even on the screen. I would like to test for accuracy.

  • Disappointed.

    by MOD boy94

What I really wanted was an app that converted my handwritten notes into text. All this program can do is EXPORT the writing to text; it can't just convert it on the same page. Not much thought went into making this useful. Without a landscape mode, this program is a complete waste. It just doesn't do anything useful. Why would the designers make a program with so little functionality?

  • Kingkong

    by Vjbtute

It doesn't support stylus when your hand touches the screen

  • Horrible!

    by MsAvaCakes

It doesn't rotate to fit your screen, the page is too small, you can't make the tip of the pencil bigger or the eraser. It has a long way to go if it wants me to write a positive review!!!

  • Horrible!

  • Awkward and cumbersome

    by PeisaManz

iPhone screen too small to use. iPad screen gets confused despite hand rest function. No incremental text recognition. No rotate. Good to try your stylus and train handwriting. Not good enough for me.

  • User friendly software

    by JPJ222

Glad this software is available for quick notes when at a impromptu meeting.

  • Good, useful note taking App

    by DocLadyblade

I use this to take hand written notes on my iPad Mini in meetings. I then email myself copies of the notes. (I can write a lot faster than I am able to type.) The OCR is pretty decent so usually my notes don't get scrambled. I wish that I could open the notes in Pages so I could put longer memos together more easily than cutting and pasting emails.

  • Brilliant app

    by Ratherxx

I really like this app! User- friendly and could Transfer into text accurately, which makes my learning process really efficient!

  • Memo

    by FoxForce72

Seems like I can't write 3 words and take up all the room. I want to be able to jot down a grocery list with ease. I do enjoy the quickness it takes my writing down though.

  • Nearly Perfect

    by Critically Thinking

I like the clean look and easy functionality of this app. Luv the wrist guard! I don't have the landscape issue that others have since I don't use it in that way, but I do wish that I could write multiple page notes instead of starting a new note when I start a new page. About 99% accurate with converting my script to text.

  • Impressive

    by Old Tx Fart

I am trying to go paperless at work, This app is as close as I have gotten. I have learned to use the capture function to reduce the size of my notes. That way I can take notes at the bottom of the page and reduce them in height. This way I pack them into the top of the page. I just wish there was a way to have more than one page of notes under a single file name. For now I use page 1,2,3 as an extension for the file name.

  • Functional

    by stinklesAFi

I was looking for something that I could use to make handwritten notes on and that would integrate with Evernote, well Evernote has Penultimate but I found this superior solely for the fact it has a built in hand guard. Writing notes I have to rest my hand on the screen and turning off multi hand gestures in settings didn't help much. This works best with a thin stylus like the Adonit Jot.

  • Good
