Launch actions, not just apps!
It’s like speed dial for everyday tasks. Launch Center Pro saves you time by launching complex actions in a single tap.
Message a loved one, search Yelp for the nearest coffee shop, append text to a file on Dropbox, all with just a flick of your thumb. Create shortcuts for email, Safari, FaceTime calls, Google searches, and more. If you do it on your iPad constantly, Launch Center Pro will make it easier and faster.
“Launch Center Pro is an app of verbs. Search. Shoot. Call. Text. Add... With a simple tap-and-slide, you can launch apps, perform actions and more... It's so simple and fast that before long your muscle memory takes over and you don't even have to look. ” —Dave Caolo - TUAW
“Perhaps the highest praise I can give Launch Center Pro is that it finally kicked Safari out of my dock...” —Lex Friedman - Macworld

When I first saw Launch Center Pro for the iPhone I questioned how opening an app to open other apps would help me save time or be useful at all. After snubbing it for a few months I finally bought in and quickly learned how LCP is not about launching apps but it is more about launching app actions. With new features being constantly added LCP is just ridiculously useful and powerful. I can click an action to send a message instantly to a number of people or just a select list of people, I can search apps for key terms or instantly tweet. I can launch custom Drafts actions and python scripts. What you can do is seemingly endless and theres definitely a nerdy-joy I get out of using the app.
This is one of those great apps apple will be sherlocking in a year or two. My only gripe is that it could definetly use some drop down menus as an alternative to script like interface in some places.
It's a great app but it needs more supporting apps. I know it's adding them constantly but it needs to go faster so that there are a lot of actions to do.
Love this on the iPhone and thrilled it has made its way to the iPad. Apple's Springboard implementation gets in my way all the time when I just want to find and launch things quickly. After a little investment in examining what options are available for different apps, Launch Center Pro serves to ease a bit of this frustrating aspect of my iOS experience.
Getting phone numbers too a few minutes to catch on. Otherwise, easy to use, gets frequent tasks quickly under your finger (literally). Would like to see under a category the ability to have two pages.
Reading other reviews, this seems like the kind of app you either love or hate -- and a lot of it comes down to how you use your iDevice. I certainly can't speak for everyone, but there are countless tasks I've found MUCH faster via smart scripting on LCP on my iPhone for a while now. Bringing it to the big screen of the iPad only makes it that much better! $4.99 is money well spent versus the time savings I realize using an app like this.
If your like me you truly use your iDevices, not only for fun and to kill time, but you use them to get major work done. This is why I am so excited to hear Launch Center Pro came to the iPad! I love LCP for my iPhone and find myself going to it as my key tool to get work done and complete daily tasks faster and with less taps. If your new to this amazing App then welcome and get ready to fall in love with this neat App. You will get things done faster and no longer hunt through pages of Apps and folders. THANKS TO THE DEVELOPERS!
Not a user-friendly app. Documentation is essentially nonexistent yet documentation desperately needed. Appears to have great potential, but certainly not worth the present price
LCP on my iPhone is an essential part to my iOS workflow. Now, finally on the iPad, I’m glad to implement LCP to all my daily activities.
Big fan of Launch Center Pro for iPad. Glad to pay again for a separate iPad app as while it has a similar use case to iPhone version, it is designed specifically for the iPad. So many useful shortcuts to enable. Amazing app to be more productive on the iPad. If you’re on the fence about buying it, jump off and pay the money. You won’t get hurt, and you’ll be much better off!
I love the iPhone version of this app, and along with the iPad version, these two make doing long actions super simple. Also: I love the example actions included in this one.
I've been waiting for an iPad version since I first installed LCP for iPhone. Glad it's finally here!
Please fix the orientation from landscape to portrait. When I backup from iPhone and try to keep them in sync, they don't maintain the layout. I'd rather see a 5x5 grid in ipad so that the icons maintain position on sync and rotate with iPhone's 3x5 grid.
Really glad this is finally out for the iPad. I like how you can restore from the iPhone backup to get the same scheme- although if used for calls on the iPads it will have to be edited once imported. I just wish it was easier to figure out unsupported apps for launching.
I love Launch Center Pro for iPhone. When I got my iPad, I had withdrawals from not having it. This is a no-brainer app to get. Highly recommend it
The idea may be good, but the implementation is way short of easy use. I'll keep the app in the hope that improvements will come, but at the moment, forgetaboutit!
The first reviewer was right. Unless you're a FB/Instagram/etc. user, this is worthless. Only a few apps even work with this. It looks pretty, but I deleted this minutes after buying it. What a waste of money.
Bad directions. Would be nice to get more help. Really awkward. Annoying to have expected more but this only works for *some* apps if they have a special code built in. I regret spending money and don't like this at all.
Then this is your app. If you want a serious productivity tool, such as LaunchBar, move on now. This app employs URL handlers, a bloodless and feature-barren framework limited in an overwhelming majority of cases to *opening* apps. Launch Center issues commands to iOS, it does not "talk" to other applications in a way that would allow genuine interactivity. If the app Launch Center opens hasn't been specifically developed to support URL handlers--and I frankly don't see why URL handlers are worth development time for most apps--then Launch Center is $4.99 (for a limited time) folder. I won't speculate whether the stricture is due to Apple's fevered-dream-of-a-madman app security model or simply due to the use of a very limited API. Either way, I cannot see how this app saves time or enhances productivity. The only way I'll give it another look is if the developer publishes documentation, which doesn't seem likely. Bottom line: Use folders and buy yourself a beer with the money you would have wasted.
Don't know what anyone likes about this app? To me its nothing but garbage and a rip off . No real benefit . DONT BOTHER
