  • Ok, but needs a search feature

    by louieisking

I've been using this app. for a number of years and as a simple place to store files locally and make simple text edits it works well, but there are many inconsistencies with edits and what becomes the end product on your computer. You have to experiment with different features to figure out which edits are transparent when viewing on a PC and which create unexpected changes. My biggest issue is the lack of a search feature. I keep a lot of files stored locally and am perplexed there is no search box to find files by name similar to a search feature you have on a PC or google drive when you want to search for all files that have a specific word in the title. Great app for simple file storage and moving files between your phone and various cloud storage. I have it connected with skydrive, google drive and skydrive and it transfers files back and forth with few issues.

  • Whatever

    by Mws 7243

I have tried multiple office apps over the last couple of years, including DocsToGo Quickoffice, Cloud One. None of them have been completely satisfactory to me until i found Office2. Great work.

  • Fantastic

    by copperhead214

The spreadsheet and word processor functions are very good, but file management is this app's strong suit. Dropbox integration is fantastic (O²'s handling of Dropbox files is much better than Dropbox's iPhone app's—I don't even look at the DB app anymore). O² also allows you to create your own file structure from within the app, both locally and in Dropbox. With Documents To Go, you have to do this on your desktop, then sync with your mobile device. D2G also won't let you move files between local folders and Dropbox, but in O², you can do this easily.

  • Best I've found in this catagory.

    by 2K6GTO

Four stars for the app itself, plus one for developer support. Has a couple of small bugs but they responsive and on it. The app itself is power, aesthetic and intuitive. I love the word count and spell checker in the word processor and the ease of use and options in the spreadsheet. Wish I'd of bought this one first.

  • Text color selection

    by Stickman45

Unable to make text color selections as easily as in previous versions.

  • Decent

    by Swerky8

Perfect for my limited document use on mobile and for the right price. Other apps are too expensive. An icon design refresh wouldn't be bad.

  • The latest update is buggy :(

    by אברהם העיברי

    It's a good app tough ..

  • It's good but ...

    by cheeriegirl

After creating a new document, Office2 HD had trouble saving. The strange part is, the file name appears in my list of documents, but when I attempt to open the file, it's blank. Nothing is there, even though I had created several paragraphs of text and images.

  • Needs a iOS 7 makeover

    by Dr. Stu

Good app, but the icon and UI need a major makeover to fit in with the look and feel of iOS 7.

  • Great app

    by Zooey72

This is so far the best office app I found, just would like to be able to use Dropbox to transfer files to other devices/people.

  • Competent, and best of similar choices

    by McSear

No cranky review here! This suite app does just what I need. I use MS doc and xls file formats (avoiding MS Office incompatibility issues and avoiding docx and xlsx formats that I have few good uses for). This app runs GR8 with my documents and spreadsheets typically being <350 mB unless pics are included that bloat them. GOOD=RECOMMENDATION hey, office apps have so many challenges to face - there is no perfect app and I've tried mucho!

  • Not for spreadsheets

    by BGrantIII

I bought this app to edit spreadsheets and it not very good. It lacks basic functionality such as text editing and color options while it has the ability to add functions. Trying to select multiple columns or cells is very cumbersome. I haven't used it for any other file types so I can't comment on that but I wasn't impressed. So if you're looking for a spreadsheet editor, look elsewhere.

  • Overall...not bad

    by JoeyLloyd

Mostly I like to use the spreadsheet. But, its missing something very basic: UNDO. If you do it, you own it. No going back. Also, when you copy a sheet to make a new one, you loose all your cell formatting. And if you insert a row, the new row has NO FORMATTING. Very anoying. I would love to see an update address these shortcomings. I did pay my money. So...?

  • Perfect !!!

I love it! Is perfect it does everything windows does and more and you can edit and send files via email! Is great! Very user friendly and professional!!

  • Good App

    by allanklu1

Would like a search button per index.

  • Office2

    by adriandmartinez

The Best app for full cloud. I use this app with 4 different cloud account. Is perfect!!!

  • Excellent for Med Schools

    by Golgiboy

I teach cell biology and histology at Yale Medical School which involves use of Powerpoint, Word and Excel. Without a doubt, Office2 on my iPhone has saved my day many times, allowing me to make last minute changes to my Powerpoint lectures and labs. I encourage our medical students to use the program. Yale, like many other med schools, gives iPads to students so using Office Hd is a must! jim

  • Very good

    by sofwarejunkie

This app is stable, but copy paste works different with each update. Functionality below no longer works. For some reason it work with plain text files, and you loose formatting. Office2 provides the ability to copy cells from a spreadsheet and paste them into a document. The result is the creation of a table in the target document, which contains the same number of rows and columns as the selection range in your spreadsheet.

  • Woo!

    by Naughtydreads

Saved my life and let's me do essays and Hw where ever I am at! Awesome

  • Okay...

    by Thesasqutch

It's okay but it could be better. It occasionally crashes, so you can fix that, also there should be custom animation on pictures slideshow presentations.

  • Current version update as of 12/16/13

    by Rebecca L Gillan

I don't know what bugs they thought they fixed, but it's all but unusable now. I type out story ideas and rough drafts in Office2's document editor and I used to use it daily. Since the latest update, it crashes my phone if I try to work in a document over 20k words. It doesn't auto scroll the page anymore. And I've had to add "end" at the end of a document and then several line breaks so that I'm not ever quite at the end of the document because it won't let me scroll all the way down once it's over 1 page long. Basically, it went from an app I used constantly to a useless lump. I hope they fix whatever they broke with that last update soon.

  • Corrupted my files, doesn't live up to claims.

    by jffffffff

Given the product claim, that it was totally compatible with Excel functions, I was excited to try this product. I tried it on what I would term "medium" complexity files, and was disappointed in the results. 1. Dates were converted into the "serial number" values, which then had the effect of producing "#ARG?" errors with date functions like "WEEKNUM". 2. Times were also converted into a serial number value, which then had the effect of producing "#ARG?" errors when using time functions. 3. SUMIF didn't work at all, named ranges didn't work, and both the formulas and named ranges were cleared when I saved. 4. I tried fixing some of the dates and times by re-entering them on one of the spreadsheets (so instead of a serial number like 477728, I'd see 1/14/2014). This made the function work (WEEKNUM). 5. Then I tried viewing the file on my Mac in Excel. BOOM. File was considered "corrupt" by Excel, and I had to repair it. Removed lots of formatting, cleared formulas and all of the named ranges. Not quite ready to live up to its claims. Too bad, I was excited. Try again, guys. Would love to see this work in the future.

  • Epic Fail

    by Billy3827

It was my most important app, but now it's broken and they refuse to fix it. Five months ago I reported that it would no longer connect as a Network drive, after doing so for 3 years. This is an essential feature. I was told it was a known problem and it would be fixed with the September update. It wasn’t. I’ve contacted them every month and the answer has been “Sorry, it didn’t make it into this cycle; it will be in the next update.” After five months I’m bone tired of hearing this. Transferring files with the web browser interface is renders the program nearly unusable.

  • Has potential, needs work

    by karmonkey

Excellent cloud storage support (supports WebDAV!). It doesn't save xlsx file properly. When I save over WebDAV then try to open the file using MS Office 2011 Mac, it displays a corrupt file error. Attempts to repair the file fails. Too bad, could be a great app.

  • False Description of Features

    by Dan Langford

Although this app would seem to work excellently, the product description states that in addition to inserting columns and rows, it can also insert cell ranges. This is not true. You can only insert rows and columns, which makes the program useless to me. (How hard is it to add an insert cell option?) When I contacted costumer service they basically just confirmed that the feature is unavailable and told me to complain to Apple if I wanted a refund. I don’t expect Apple to help me out. Avoid this product, it is very buggy and does not allow that capabilities it advertises.

  • Very Annoying

    by TheRabidCat

There is no way to turn off the badge notification bubble that ALWAYS show 1. There are never any notifications to this app, do the badge being there is nothing more than trying to get you to use it more. The developer needs to turn this off. Have already switched to DocsToGo.

  • Has promise, needs work

    by SolarFlux

Nice UI and lots of tempting features but the following need improvement - Image import: images from the camera roll end up in unexpected places. Selecting an imported image and then clicking the info button causes a crash. - Google Drive integration: It is awkward to half to copy a file from Drive to another directory structure for offline use. There should be a direct sync with local copies - The loss of menu options in landscape mode is disconcerting.

  • Corrupts my files

    by Kratsmoose

Any docs I modify and save from my Dropbox account are no longer openable on my computer. I'm using the latest version of OS on my Mac, and latest version of Word.

  • Creed!

    by Fototico

This app is OK but they charge you 8 bucks if you want the iPad (HD) version. I would highly recommend Textilus or Pages by Apple. The problem with Pages is that is a big program and takes a lot of space on your drive.

  • Cell formatting change

    by RickWhat

Since the last update the formatting for dates in a .xls spreadsheet has changed. It now coverts numerical values into words. 11/11/11 Becomes November 11.

  • Where is the value?

    by need a name here

Sure at least now it will display a header and a footer properly, but where is the edit function? I'm not buying an ipad and another 8 dollar version of your app just for these features. I recommend trying alternative apps.

  • User

    by User363

I already paid about $5 for the iPhone version. It's not a universal app so if I want it on my ipad I have to pay another $8 for the "HD" version. Sorry Byte2, don't see the value there with so many alternatives.

  • So-so

    by Hawkico

Buggy and hard to navigate. Tried putting a dash in a txt file and app crashes. No arrow keys to put cursor in exact position. Using iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1

  • Moving files in folders

    by Not happy142

I would like to have the option to move the files around once in folder. this would allow to store files by date and name. Or in alphabetical order. Love the app. Really just would like the option to move files in the order I want after files in the folder.

  • Updates Killed iPhone 3GS Value

by Out of Date and Out of Order

Some of us don't live to buy new technology. Darn shame a great product no longer updates to GoogleDrive or to my Inbox to email. Can't get docs from iTunes anymore either. Had to copy and paste losing all formats to either the note pad or Google Drive. Sorry to say good bye to a once indispensable tool.

  • Great app, best in its class

    by Btar

Nicely designed, very handy to have. Perfect for a quick peek or edit of docs and spreadsheets while on the go. I can access my Dropbox and Google Drive easily. Excellent support: I reported a bug and got a detailed email response within 24 hours. I use the app mainly for viewing files and updating spreadsheets, so I can't speak for how well it handles PPT/PPTX files.

  • IPad and iPhone5

    by wpsbrm

Have it on both devices. Works great updating files on Google Drive. Virtually no problems. Had a question and support cleared it up within the hour. Can't speak to other folks who have said they have problems but for me I am very satisfied.

  • Best $6 I ever spent

    by BonnieSF

Spent hours looking for a spreadsheet app that was easy to use but powerful, could handle functions and could open existing spreadsheets from Dropbox. Kissed a lot of frogs, but finally found this Prince.

  • Dont buy..

    by ck_bakucity

İts 6$ but doesnt create any file!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crashing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Updateeeeeee!

  • YES!

    by dubstepandapps

I've been looking for an app that would allow me to view and edit my Miscrosoft office word ".docx" files! I am an aspiring writer, so it's great that I'm able to work when i'm away from my computer! Thank you! This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! I am so happy! YES! YEAH! WOOHOO!

  • One of the best "Word" compatible Word Processors

    by Apps-junkie

Used DOC2 (Doc squared) on my iPhone 4 for a couple of years & never had any problems. I didn't use PowerPoint or the spreadsheet, so I really can't comment on Office2 on those. Now I have Office2 & Office 2 Plus on my iPhone 5 & Office 2 on my iPad, but still mainly for word processing. One note- the App Store description doesn't explain very well, or at all, what the difference is between Office2 or O2 Plus, so I thought Plus gave me more, until I tried to save my test file. Nor will most users know that they can get the word processor alone (Doc2) or Slides2 or Sheet2.

  • Ruined all my files

    by Gkalo

Update - I am upgrading my original one star review to four stars. I contacted support and they responded very fast. They repaired my files and sent me a copy. They also explained that the app has some issues with .xlsx files that are being remediated in a coming release. I was blown away by their excellent support of the app. Great Job! The app is horrible. It messed up every spreadsheet I opened up from Dropbox. Now when I look at my spreadsheets in drop box or any other app besides this one, all of the text is missing and the colors are all different. What a waste of money! How can I get my $5.99 back?

  • Love.

    by MKathleen1

I love this app. I don't know why some people are saying it doesn't work right. I'm in college and have been looking for a simple word processor app where I can write a paper if I am away from a computer. Love this!

  • does not work

    by $$Bev$

I can not get this app to convert my pp slides in a readable format. I feel as though I gave away my money. Keynote works much better. Don't waste your money.

  • Slight security hole

    by Heart2784

Like most things about the app. I like the password feature but it briefly shows an open document before prompting for the password. This is a security hole they should fix.

  • Superb

    by Good 5.1

I've been looking for a simple spreadsheet to use to track my expenses and budgets. I wanted a clean interface and one that I can interact with Google Drive. Used the app for months and am absolutely satisfied. Also, tech support is extremely responsive.

  • Great for mobile word processing

by who cares about a nickname? 17

I have only used the word processor portion of this app, so I can't speak to the spread sheet, etc. For mobile word-processing its worked great so far. No problems typing with a bluetooth keyboard on Iphone. Syncs seamlessly with dropbox so I can pick up and work on another device without missing a beat. While I have not used it yet for complicated documents, and don't really plan to, so far no problems.

  • Well.....

    by TwinsOfGemini

This app is probably worth .99 and not any more than that. Maybe it's user error but unable to figure out how to select multiple cells and either cut or copy. Tried typing in cells and unable to do what I need it to. Need full range of editing and then possibly 5.99$ would be an acceptable price. When making apps need to brainstorm more on what buyers/users would use it for. Take the time to actually build completely and test instead of hurrying something to make profit.

  • Useful

    by Myflysdwn

This app is useful and has many functions and capabilities. It works out great for basic editing and especially the ability to save the files in one place on your device. It could use a few basic additions to functionality but otherwise worth the $6. If your looking to accomplish the same things as you can on your pc maybe look at one of the more expensive apps but if you just need basic editing then this app should work great. Worst case I just make the few changes on my pc I can't do on my phone then email it back to myself and save the new doc. It's a pain but still better than nothing.

  • Oh yeah

    by Sean W Smiddy

Been looking for an app to handle office documents like this! Synchs with outlook and fits my needs perfectly. Extremely glad I spent the $ on this app.
