The Adobe Story companion iPhone application allows you to access and comment on your Adobe Story scripts and documents anywhere. You will need a valid Adobe Story account to use this application. Once logged in, here's what you can do with the application:
1. Access your scripts and documents on your iPhone
2. Receive notifications for all changes and comments made to your shared scripts and documents
3. Review comments and changes made to your scripts in a fast and intuitive way
4. Comment on your scripts and documents to capture ideas as and when they occur
5. All comments are synced back to your Story account
6. Recently used document list
Okay, maybe I am just missing something, but the huge pet peeve that I have with the Story app is the inability to edit scripts. It is nice that I can review, reread and follow along on my iPhone; but I want the ability to edit scripts while on the move and away from my PC. That is the one thing that I like about Celtx over Story.
Can there please be a way where we can edit our work PLEASE!
Editing files would be a great addition to this app; I always have inspiration to compose on my phone.
Great product, but need an iPad version. 2x phone version does not cut it for editing. Thank you!
The iphone version is ok... but it would make Adobe Story 10x more useful if there was an ipad version. Being able to have a script on set and/or writing with a keyboard would be awesome. Pretty please?
After suffering through using Final Draft for years, I switched to Celtx. I loved that it was cross platform and its web-based collaboration tools, and that it was free. About half a year ago, I discovered Adobe Story (along with the other Adobe CS Live services) and immediately fell in love. Its interface is beautiful, it is extremely easy to use, and because it was written with Adobe AIR, it too was cross platform. Adobe Story completely re-energized me and allowed me to be more creative during the screenwriting process. It also is free (for now at least) and the collaboration tools are the best I've seen. Having an iOS app at no cost is a great thing! The iPad is a great tool to have on set ad at meetings, but I wish Adobe would release a native iPad version so I didn't have to use the iPhone version magnified at 2x with a ugly upscaled interface. Once Adobe releases a native iPad version of Adobe Story, this screenwriting solution will be absolutely perfect.

The ability to create and edit docs would be amazing and I would even pay for it, but the most important update now should be an app for the iPad.
If only I could write, but I'm sure that's coming soon! For now, I just add comments and add them on to the script in the computer.
Great app allows for review of Scripts and collaboration comments on the go, but it lacks to ability to write! Please please please add the ability to write!
The new update fixed the horrible crash at the beginning. It is a very useful app now. Thank you Adobe.
Finally, it actually works!!! I would give it 5 stars if I could edit my documents.
So...this is terrible. It would run on a gameboy. Optimize for iPhone 5s, and allow us to edit. I hate adobe products but I have no choice but to use them. So at least make them usable please.
Adobe story is a great scriptwriting program but this app is terrible. It needs a drastic update to match the web based software which is incredible. If this app could match that experience then this would be a 5 star app. Please update!!!
I'm saddened that such a useful app has been neglected by such a powerful company. It needs an iOS7 update (can't believe this hasn't happened yet) And I need to be able to edit and add to my scripts. I can't believe you can't do this. I would think that would be the most basic feature. Since you can't add any text, the app is useless beyond reviewing what you've written on your computer.
App is completely useless. I am a story plus user and I am trying to do some serious writing. Please do use all a favor and enter the future and give us an ipad app that is comparable or equal to the website. I don't see why you guys can't pull this off. This iPhone app blows. It cuts off text and obviously I can't get anything. Done on it at all. A severe waste of time.
Need to be able to edit script in the app.
It's a great idea, but for such a productive company, why can't it do what everyone wants/thinks it will do? Please recreate it so that we can edit the scripts via mobile
Well it's a great app and all and the script looks good on here, but is there any way you can design this app so I can actually write in it?
Words overlap and are cut off. They are also extremely close together. The spacing is horrible.
FREAKING LET ME WRITE AND MAKE IT IPHONE 5 OPTIMIZED. Please?
I love the Adobe workflow, but not being able to edit or write my scripts on on the go is very disappointing. Even as a CC member! It isn't that hard to achieve, and many other apps have this functionality. Come on Adobe!
No ability to write in a writing app? Not a functional solution for anything.
I pay $10 a month, and I get this! It's ugly, slow, and you can't even edit your own scrips, that NEEDS to be added as soon as possible!!
Some of Adobe's other apps are well thought out. This is not.
Come on a screenwriting app that doesn't let you write! Might be useful for the producer but it's utterly useless for the writer.
I was thrilled when I realized there was a mobile app for Story. I was extremely disappointed to learn it is read only, not allowing you to write in your documents. Not to mention the fact it won't open certain script types. This app has so much wasted potential.
Cannot view the schedules I create in Story, "The selected document format is not supported." How does the Story app not support documents I created in Story? App is a waste.
I waited for Adobe Story before committing to Creative Cloud. When I saw Story in the app store, I was so excited! However, once I opened this app, I discovered it was a useless tease. What is the point? Adobe may understand visuals, but has yet to get inside the writer's head. We need to be able to format scripts on the fly, which means via your competitor's app.
This app greatly excited me when I first saw it, then I realized there was no editing, and it is NOT optimized for iPhone 5. Can't give it more than one star.
You can only read and comment on your scripts, pretty much a waste of an app. You can't even share the script from the app, like you know email it to someone on the spot. You can't read the script in full but rather in scenes. Annoying since I have a cloud membership, hurry up and fix this.
Seriously, why can't you edit?
I was so hype when I saw this app, come to find out I can't do much of anything important with it. If I can't write on my scripts via my phone using this app. It's pretty much useless.
More please. "Commenting only" is good for everyone but the author. Vexing. Please include real editing.
Viewing is not enough. Writing ability is a must and I can't justify more than 1 star without that feature.
Need to be able to write on the go. Surprised that Adobe could not provide this feature. Celtx does, but it's inferior on the collaboration features that Adobe Story has. Please work on this writing capabilities.
I mean it shows the writing, but I REALLY wish you could write with the app. It would make sense. Please make it so we can edit our projects from the app. I'd be able to work so much more often than if I only was able to on my computer!
What's wrong with Adobe? It's a writing app and you can't write with it? Final Draft finally stepped up and lets you write with their app. But honestly I really like the CS6 environment and love Story on my Mac. So what's going on?
I like the idea of being able to access my files from my Adobe Story account, however it would be really nice to be able to edit said files within the iPhone/iPad app. Adobe, make that a feature of the subscription service, if you have to.
I love Adobe Story and the entire Adobe CS6 Production Suite, but the lack of an iPad app limits Story's potential. The iPad is the perfect tool for mobile writing -- much more so than a tiny iPhone. An iPad app that enabled not just commenting but script writing and editing would be phenomenal.
It's an ok app. It's great that it's free but it needs an iPad version and I want to be able to edit my files from the app
Adobe makes some fantastic software so why can't they figure out a way to let me write via the app?
It was pretty good, but now I can't log in
I would love to review this app but can't log in.
Does not let me log in. The credentials are correct because I can log in on the computer just fine, but here...here is a tall and fortified wall that will only reject you back to the barren wasteland.
The only type of scripts I write are A/V scripts, and this iPhone app doesn't opens them at all. The app only works to know if there were edits but I also get emails too. This app is totally useless to me. Please add the ability to at least read A/V scripts.
This is a good start, and I'm glad to see it doesn't crash anymore, but it's only a start. Why is it next to useless? 1. It needs to be a universal app, not an iPhone-only app. That's just ridiculous. 2. It needs to be fully functional, allowing us to write the script, not just notes. I've been using Story for a while now, thanks to the CS5 Production suite, and I love it. The simplicity of the program coupled with the ability to sync is wonderful. It works more smoothly than Celtx and syncs without paying an exhorbitant monthly fee like Celtx Plus requires. But I can't write with it on my iPad. I've used Final Draft for nearly 20 years now, but they still haven't gotten around to a writing app. They claim to be releasing a reader app "unlike any other mobile app" out there. Guess they don't know about FDX Reader. Either way, a reading app is the last thing we need or want right now. We want an app for writing that works better than the ones currently available. Story could be that app. Heck, even if the web-based version were an HTML5 site and thus usable on an iPad, that'd be better than nothing. Please. Be smart. Upgrade this to a universal app that allows us to write scripts directly on the fly, away from our desktops. Do that and keep it consistent in style and quality with the desktop application and the Story website, you've got an instant five stars.
I can't open anything without the app crashing. I'm disappointed with this app. Please fix it.
This is one of the worse developed apps ever released. Shame on you Adobe.
