Embark Caltrain is a transit application for the Caltrain commuter rail system. It is essential to all Caltrain riders — from the occasional to the daily, the tourist to the commuter.
- A trip planner (no internet required)
- Station information
- Scheduled arrivals
- A handsome multi-touch Caltrain map
- Service advisories
Feedback is greatly appreciated at firstname.lastname@example.org
Note: Embark Caltrain are not funded by or directly affiliated with Caltrain. These applications were made by Bay Area natives who wanted to make Caltrain easier to use for all riders.
Does the job very well.
Well designed, does everything I need, can't ask for much more!
I'm a confirmed user! This app rocks and keeps me and my clients in sync. Nice work!
Excellent trip planning, links for bike info, and zone pricing. Timetables were updated promptly when Caltrain made a change. Great user interface design-thx
On a recent trip into San Francisco, I found this app to be indispensable . I was able to find my way around in unfamiliar territory and do it with ease and confidence. The user interface is very attractive and easy to navigate . Embark, you have done it again!'
Love it -- what a great transit app!
As a new transplant to the area, this has totally made a difference in my life and gettin around.
I normally use the Embark NYC (amazing) app so decided to use this on a recent visit to bay area. It delivered.
I've tried them all and this is the best! It even suggests switching trains when appropriate, which most of the other Caltrain apps fail to do.
Finally- a great Caltrain app!! I've been trying all the other Caltrain apps for years - and they are all terrible. This is the best one by far :) Btw iBart Live is the best Bart app.
Pandav apps for commuting have a GUI and features that I appreciate and make figuring out my commute quick and easy for me. I also use the free iBart app which has a similar look and feel. Well done.
Can't manage favorites -- it crashes immediately if you try to view station details. Poor QA on this release, it seems.
... At all? It used to. What happened?
this was good until they discontinued support for ios 4.2.1
This app worked just fine through my entire trip to Bay Area, but then it cost me $70 for a taxi because of the missed train - the price to not miss my flight. Tried in-app schedule update and it just crashed.
Planning a trip northbound from Mountain View to Redwood City. The schedule map shows San Francisco on both ends of the ride. So it's a little confusing, especially for a new rider.
Downloaded because I liked the design and the station map. Deleted within minutes because it only does trip plans, no browsing the schedule or shifting between stations mid trip.
Difficult to switch between stations
Had just loaded app but before i could tap my destination station a pop up ad appeared over the station trying to sell me wifi. DELETED app This is a case of Free isnt always useful.
