The Cadence Health in Case of Emergency (ICE) app is provided free to our patients and those within our service area. The Cadence Health ICE app allows users to create an emergency contact banner on their phone home screens — viewable above the lock screen — to help first responders know who to contact in case of an emergency. So if the user has an emergency and is unable to communicate, authorities will, at the very least, be able to contact the person listed on the contact banner — even if the phone is locked.
If locked, the information on the phone is only accessible after the phone has been unlocked by the owner or after the emergency contact has provided the lock code to the first responders.
The app also can be personalized to include the following medical information:
- Blood type
- Current medications
- Medication allergies
- Health conditions
- Organ donor registration designation
- A map to the nearest Cadence Health emergency departments and Convenient Care facilities based on your current location
About Cadence Health:
Cadence Health was formed in March 2011 as a result of the merger between Central DuPage Health System based in Winfield, Illinois, and Delnor Community Health System based in Geneva, Illinois. Cadence Health is a locally based, locally governed health system focused on delivering excellent health care to the more than 1 million patients in Chicago’s western suburbs.
Need to be able to have 3 or more contacts on wallpaper and need to find how to access when screen is locked.
CDH is great! This app will help in an emergency!
Great app. I feel allergic reaction to Latex should be indicated since the use of this product is quite pervasive in hospitals & clinics (It is not included in the current meds list). I would also like an option to list the PCP. Overall, great initiative by Cadence Health!
Great except there should be a place to put up to three physicians used and specialties!
I love the emergency banner on the lock screen--great idea! Being able to put meds and allergies in us also nice but the database doesn't include all medications which is the only negative I've found so far. Overall very helpful and easy-to-use app
I love CDH- it is the best hospital in Chicagoland! This app is somewhat useful for the few things it does- organizing what medications you are taking and what allergies you have, but it has the potential to be so much more! Phone numbers to hospital departments (such as scheduling,) list of Doctors/specialists affiliated with CDH. Lists of classes offered at the hospital, cafeteria hours and menu, visiting hours, services offered, surgery info, etc.
