I love the way it wakes me up and puts me to sleep with a sleep aid noise that is so soothing and that it tracks my sleep pattern and really does wake me up at my lightest sleep! The waking up part is my favorite by far! Thank you Sleep Cycle!!
I have only used it for about 2 nights. But every time so far I have waken up I feel relaxed and more awake than usual. This is the best alarm out there. And knowing how I sleep every night, that's a great idea and it's fun to know. I tested out to apps like this and this one for surely won. Because one of my favorite features are the snooze. You can just touch your phone to turn on snooze. But maybe you guys could add a recorder. And have it record your sleep at some moments. Because the data now doesn't help me. But hearing myself sleep would be fun and maybe useful. And maybe add weather to your morning, and remainders I could set. I would rather set them on the app then the other one.
Though they want an outrageous amount of money for their sleep secure feature (which seems useless to me so no need to buy it) everything about this app has worked as it says. Though I can't speak of it's accuracy, it seems to be generally correct. Also, I have not tried it on one of the mattresses where you can jump on it and not spill a wine glass... Then again if you have a Serta mattress you will need more than this alarm to crawl out of the covers.
Just as good as advertised--sometimes I get annoyed that the alarm is going off before I need to be up, but I am always more refreshed as a result.
Great features, I use every night I can! Having a visual of how well you're sleeping is great but my favorite part by far is that you're woken up in your lightest sleep. Well worth the price!
I love that this app offers (if nothing else) very gentle alarm options. But further than just the alarms, the sleep tracker is great - it wakes me up gently and slowly over time. Although I hit the snooze, after my specified wake-up time, I'm not allowed to which means without checking or trying to count, I know I'll be up at the time I need to be up. The one thing that would be great (my only reason for not putting 5 stars) is a nap element to the app so that, based on your usual sleep cycle, patterns and tendencies, it would be able to tell you what your optimum nap length would be and that it would be recorded as a nap and you could track naps as well as nights, separate. For now it recognizes that the short sleep period might mean a nap, but it still says that that nap was the worst night's sleep I had, the lowest sleep quality etc. I feel I should be able to define it as a nap and then it will tell me how long I can nap for.
Besides waking up less tired, it is really cool to see your sleep chart and the quality of sleep you get each night and on average.
This app, though I wouldn't trust it for scientific research, is quite helpful for me to be able to track my sleeping patterns. And it's just a lot of fun too!
I try to use sleep cycle every night. It helps me to identify my sleep patterns using the data collected and my sleep notes. Also, the sleep aid helps me fall asleep quicker

Easy to use, very reliable and consistent. Isn't a mind reader so don't expect it to be. But it is the smart alarm clock that it claims to be.
It's a reliable alarm clock and interesting to see all the data it provides. I take a lot of it with a grain of salt though, I'm not sure how accurate it can be.
My personal trainer introduced this to me. It has been wonderful having something more concrete data to share with my sleep doc. I wished it had an option to add customized notes. I would like to record cpap or appliance use to know which allows me the best sleep. Other than that, I've been quite pleased and amazed with this technology! It was the best 99 cents I've ever spent!!
This is a great app! It actually helps me wake up in the morning and usually I'm not as tired as I usually would be with the "wake up phase!"

Outstanding inovation, does exactly what is says. Easy to use and I feel more refreshed and know more about my sleep then ever before. My mission is Cultural Health and Physical Health for 21st Century effectiveness. On the physical side we must watch our food intake, how much we burn and how we repair our body when we sleep. On my Iphone, I use Grocery I.Q. For food, Ifittness for the Gym and now Sleep Cycle to manage my sleep. Way back at V3.0 I made a number if recommendations from a temp button for naps to many graph recommendation beyond the one basic sleep graph we had back in the day. This is 10/2013 and they have implemented all that I asked for and more. I am writing entitled LifeRcise I will be sure to recommend Sleep Cycle as my goto Smart Alarm and sleep analysis tool. This app- when used properly- works incredibly. The idea is that it wakes you up while you're not in a deep sleep. As time goes on and you wake up rested, you'll get an increasingly better sleep. I literally turn this on every single night and put it on my bed. It is my go-to alarm clock. 100% worth a try!
I've been using this app to monitor my sleep and understand why I feel good or bad when I wake up. It's useful to have the information when I wake up, but seeing long term patterns in the data is where it becomes a really transformative tool.
best alarm app ever
Since getting this app, I've noticed a marked increase in my work time in the mornings, as I feel less compelled to snooze my alarm. I have also noticed that my sleeping patten is both regular and concerning. I now have proof that I haven't been sleeping very long at all, and as a result I have started aiming to finish my activities earlier in the evening. The most recent update was amazing and nullified almost all of my complaints with the app. The only thing that could make it better is better song-alarm options (randomized, play more than one, play on loop) or if it continued to track movement after the alarm and until I confirm that I'm awake, for those mornings when I snooze for half an hour.

It won't fix any chronic sleep issues. But it will let you know how many hours you get and how certain things affect your 90min sleep cycle. It really works.
There is only one thing I would add for the next update. For the sleep aid sounds a crackling fire would be perfect. Everything else about the app is perfect. I used it for about a year now and I love it. I don't use any other alarm clock. It's perfect.

Excellent app. The statistics feel accurate, as from the first morning this app woke me up I could tell a huge difference in my energy and got up within 10 min. It has always taken me over an hour to actually wake up/get up, and according to the graphs, I have a longer sleep cycle, about 2 hours, so now I know how to time my sleep schedule better. The intelligent snooze works wonders as well.
When I first downloaded the app it (and many other apps I dare say) did not work properly on my iPod Touch 5g. Luckily I resolved that in time with my local Genius at the bar and CAN I JUST TELL YOU THIS APP WORKS BEAUTIFULLY. ALTHOUGH ITS DATA ISN'T SCIENTIFICALLY BASED ITS ALARMS ARE SO SOOTHING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GYMNOPEDIE. BEAUTIFUL TUNE. GREAT APP. GOOD JOB. YEA
Who knows how accurate the waves are, but I wake up more refreshed, feeling more awake, and it's definitely interesting! I need all the help I can get with shifts at 7am every morning. It is well worth the cost.
It's great. Simple to use and seems like it picks up interesting stuff. I'd like to do more detailed analysis but the "export raw data" option doesn't actually export all the data, which is disappointing. Might be good for my sleep, I don't know. Now stop asking me to review you!
The days of setting a dozen alarms just to get myself up are long gone. This app wakes you up gradually so you don't feel as tired when you wake up. Because it tracks your cycles it knows just when to wake you up. I was skeptical at first, but it actually works great. I love the way it tracks statistics and gives you detailed reports on your sleeping too. Overall, it's made my life easier and helped me get much better sleep. Very impressed. One thing though, the heart BPM tracker could be improved greatly, it rarely works correctly.

I'm in love with this app. It's cool to see how you sleep and What time you sleep the best. Worth the money. But it killed my battery my phone start dying at 87%.

I've been using sleep cycle for nearly 2 years. I hate loud annoying alarms that scare you first thing in the morning. But sleep cycle has the best alarm that allows you to gradually wake up and has different snooze settings. I have no idea how accurate the information is in this app but it's interesting to look at anyway.
This is an amazing app but I would like to be able to use my own music in the sleep aid, I fall asleep better to music than other sounds

The app is great alarm system is perfect never have an issue getting up in the morning and the self snooze system it has is brilliant. The graphs are a real cool feature and I feel that they actually work when it says my sleep was 90% I actually feel good when I wake up, but when I wake up and I feel like crap or still tired as if I was tossing an turning all night I checked the chart and it has my sleep rate around 48 to 63 which is crazy bc that's about how I feel lol. App is great and I would recommend it to anyone!
This App is spot on when it comes to tracking sleep. I will not be able to go back to any sort of normal alarm system. I only feel good when being woken by this alarm.

By far the best sleep app I've tried.
Used it for almost a year now and can't imagine life without it, no more impossible, groggy mornings anymore, ever O.O Plus it's really helpful to know how you slept, and have a log of how much sleep you've been getting. You can't use it if you have a pet sleeping with you though, and I don't know about other people who share a bed, it may not work right for you either (works by detecting movement; your partner/pet may be ready to wake up but you're still in REM), but for a busy, sleep-deprived high school student such as myself, with pets sleeping on other people's beds, this app is a godsend.
This app has turned into a must have for my daily morning routine! It wakes me up at the perfect time! I absolutely love it!
I never thought this app would actually work but the first time I tried it I woke up feeling great. I thought it was going to be pretty gimmicky but it it works and I'm pleasantly surprised.

Before I started using this app I would always get woken up in dead sleep and feel like I was under anesthesia when my alarm went off. This app really does wake you up in the lightest sleep. I've been using it for about a month now and it always wakes me up at the perfect time. The tracking and graphs it shows you is great as well. With the apps help, I found that taking Ambien seriously reduced my sleep quality! I haven't been taking that anymore, not only for that reason, but it did contribute to the decision. Great intuitive app, definitely one of the best I've bought for my iPhone.
This is my favorite app on my iPhone. It absolutely get used every day. My sleep patterns have improved since using this application. I love the way that it demonstrates sleep patterns over the past three months using very easy to read charts. This app is worth the money if you'd like some info on your sleeping habits. I find that I am sleeping better as a result of using sleepcycle simply because I am more focused on the quality of my sleep in the evening. Charts appear to be accurate.

This app works very well. I have struggled for years with morning grogginess and an uncanny ability to sleep through alarm clocks no matter the circumstance. With Sleep Cycle I feel like I've taken back control of this part of my life with the ability to get up when I choose and start my day off right. The other data that is provided is quite interesting as well and helps you account for your sleep quality in ways only someone with OCD would have been able to accomplish previously. I would pay 10 times as much for this app and still consider it a bargain.
I like the alarm sounds and you get very aware of what helps you sleep better at night.

Id isn't know this existed until my UT psychology professor told my class it was real and actually works. Even after that point I was slightly skeptical, but it really did make it easier for me to wake up! And I was more awake throughout the day!

My personal experience with this app has been very positive. I haven't really found any problems with it or anything that I wish it could improve on. The only thing I would say is that it isn't completely useful-- for me personally-- but mostly just for fun, which is completely fine for me and the whole reason I bought it. I have loved my experience and use it every night. It's a fun way for me to go to bed and wake up and yet I get some data as well. Since I don't have sleeping problems, it's dumb for me to have. But as I said: SOO FUN and interesting! Love it! And I totally recommend it!

I hate being jarred out of sleep by an annoying alarm sound. It contributes to a really rotten morning and a terrible disposition. This app does a beautiful job of gently easing you out of sleep and has a great array of non-irritating sounds to that with. Excellent app!

It intrigues when I can use an app to see how I sleep at night thank you for this this app works great I am completely satisfied with this the only thing is (but not holding back from 5 stars due to the fact I won't be upset if it doesn't change) the ability to edit sleep notes after you sleep just in case you were just too groggy to put it in and also the ability to not set an alarm at all just a switch to set the alarm to off I'm not sure if that's already in it but other then amazing accurate and with great features. Get it it's worth it

This is a winner all the way around. Well-designed, with a user guide that includes lots of helpful info. And it works! - quite well for something you don't wear. The wake-up music is beautiful & I like the sleep-aid sounds in the update. I highly recommend it!
This is great for those who may have trouble staying asleep all night and would better like to analyze when they awake, etc. While this app isn't perfect it truly adds insight and data considering it all comes from your cell phone. Has great options for awaking you along with nice melodic tones.

It's seriously the best app that I have ever had.
Great app, though I'm not sure how accurate it can be, simply relying on the accelerometer to measure how deeply you're sleeping. Nonetheless, it does reveal that I flip and flop like a salmon.

Having dealt with sleep problems for most of my life, waking up is also a significant issue for me. I always turn off my alarm and fall back asleep, but the intelligent snooze really helps with that. I seem to wake up more gently and in a better mood than with a traditional alarm clock. I use this app almost every night, and the information that it stores has really helped me to improve my sleep habits. Can't say enough good things, if you have sleep problems this is worth the money!
Update: 2/5/2014 I still love this app, but it remains at 3 stars as it needs a way to track naps. If I sleep for an hour it wrecks my overall % so I tend to delete them which isn't fair as naps should count. The new features are okay. Not sure yet what the intentions are for the long run yet and the heart beat measure can be cumbersome. Steps are not always accurate and I need a reminder to take the phone with me when I walk around otherwise it's pretty useless. Great I guess for an exercise session but I'm curious about everyday cumulative steps. But so far so good. This is my go to app, but will stray soon if you don't do something about tracking naps. Newer apps are incorporating them. Would also like to record at a specific interval or intervals during the night. Initial Review: This has replaced my old buzz type alarm clock. I like the fact that it begins to wake you up before the set time for a built in snooze if you need it. All you have to do is leave it alone and go back to sleep in about 9-10 minutes the alarm will sound again. So there is no need for a snooze button like one user described. The only con I have is that the AM/PM is too sensitive on the wheel and moves even if you are trying to set the hour. How about a simple flat button or check box interface to set the AM or PM and remove it from the wheel. Otherwise it's a great app and does what it says it will do. I would also like to see some data on my sleep patterns so that I could know just how much sleep I need to feel refreshed. If you add the data, please let us be able to accumulate data over long periods of time and export it to viable formats. Don't forget back-up options. Update 9/21/09 - I installed the new music loops and they are great, but I think we need an update or instructions regarding how to make the alarm recognize them. I set a new song, time and start time but the alarm wnet off the next morning to the old tune. Thought maybe I'd done something wrong, so I tried a test and the same thing happened. The next night I changed to one of the old loops and it switched without a problem, so it seems only the new tunes won't play. I have not yet tried recalabrating. Hoping that I won't have to so that one day if you do upgrade I can back up that data for sleep history. But if I have it....I recently sent an email, but have not yet received a response. Most tech support staff respond quickly to customer software issues, so this is disheartning considering that I'm a huge supporter of the application. For now I have to lower this from a 4 star to a 3 star until this is resolved. Customer service speaks volumes. A good product doesn't just simply stand alone. Note to those of you that continue to believe w/o reason that your screen stays on all night, newsflash it doesn't. The app does, because it's an alarm clock. But there is a very nice sleep screen mode and when you click yoour home button you can see the details of the clock, w/o turning the app off. To turn it completely off hit your home button when the app is in full display mode. I have an iphone 3Gs and am using this app with no issues other than what I described.

Many QS apps provide too much data and not enough info on specific steps I need to take to be healthier. The special notes portion of this app makes it easy for me to understand over time what really helps/hurts my sleep. Love it!
