I personally love this app, it's a quick workout when your in a rush or you don't want a very long workout. Each workout is 30 seconds after that it gives you a 10 second rest. I loved it so much I bought more workouts to change up my routine. GET IT
No pictures, no video, no music, just announces the exercises and shows a countdown timer. Nice and simple. Works for me but some may want a version that links to demonstrations of proper form.
This has been an excellent tool in my attempts to live a fitter life. Calling out the name of the next exercise is far more useful than simply beeping at me. It would be nice, but maybe not possible, to be able to change the volume of the app itself so that one could listen to music in another app, instead of one's own grunting and gasping, and still be able to hear the callouts. I'd also like to be able to up the increments b one second intervals instead of five. But these are minor issues.

Update 2/5/14 It was 5 stars. But the upgrade adds 2 more in app purchases of different exercise sets. Feeling a bit cheated since I paid $2. I don't think I got an upgrade. Doesn't crash. Simple to use. Upgrade and you can exhaust yourself. Try doing 4 random sets - feels so good to stop. Or shorten the interval and do two sets. Or lengthen the interval.
I like this for when I have just a couple of minutes
I love that I can fit this in on my lunch hour. I like that it keeps a calendar of efforts. Well paced and convenient in that I don't need extras. A chair, a wall, a floor and me. Good stuff.

I love that I can do this even in a tiny hotel room when I'm traveling. A great all-over workout that doesn't tax any of my joints (I've a history of shoulder/knee/hip issues).

I've tried the 7 Minute Workout Challenge app (recently and App of the Week) and the one from Johnson & Johnson and, while each of those has a feature or two that is attractive, this app is the best overall. It is sleek and simple, no fluff, and, with this latest update, improved on a couple minor things. It also now offers two more 7 minute workout options, so even better!

Love the voice prompts! Keeps me honest! Also, having the short videos in the instructions displaying the proper way to do the exercise is great! These are the kinds of apps that we need and can use!!!!!!
Love this app, but the recent update has replaced the cute cheery voice of the previous version with a harsh-sounding robot. The speech synthesis is not as good, and she sounds angry at me! Please bring back the old text-to-speech voice.
App has a beautiful UI, but the fade function is broken, meaning your music will play at only 50% volume while blasting commands at 100% for the whole workout. If you enjoy music with your workout, go with a different app

This is a great quick workout if you don't want to spend a lot of time working out each day. My daughter and I are doing it together and it's good for both of us. I bought the pro version and I love that the times can be increased as needed. I would love to see the option of putting your own exercises into the workout with those already in the program. Keep up the great work!

You don't have to think, just listen to the app it's great
I started this becuz I read an article that described the exercises in this workout. Then I found the app which makes this even more awesome. It counts tells you what to do next and when to rest. Videos describe the exercises if you want to make sure you do it right. After 1 1/2 wks I see that I am getting better at each exercise and I sweat and am out of breath. So I know its workkkking! So easy anyone! can do this and has time for it. No excuses!
This app takes a great short workout routine and removes the hassle of timers and referencing notes for the order of exercises.

I was not sure that this would be a great quick workout, but it is!! For the days I don't have much time this is perfect. And I'm noticing good changes after a few weeks!!
The videos demonstrate how to perform each exercise so you do them correctly :D I felt really sore after words and can already see the effects after just one session! Definitely beats going to the gym on days when I'm busy. The most painful exercises are the wall sits for 30 seconds and the tricep exercise! But I love em heheh

Needs the ability to skip a workout or break
This has been a great help. There are several apps that help you with this 7 minute workout. Things that makes this one the preferred choice are: + it doesn't impose music on you; + you don't need to look at it because the voice prompts give you everything you need. In some other apps all you get is a bell so you have to look at the screen to see what exercise you have to do. This one tells you at the beginning of the 10 second rest what you'll start next. Seems such an obvious thing to do, but others miss it.

I ended up paying $1.99 to upgrade it and when I tried to restore my purchase, it wouldn't let me. It's like the button isn't responding.
This AP based on NYT article re 12 intense exercises in 7 minutes is perfect. For beginners the correct technique is reviewed with short videos. When you begin the exercise series the AP audio gives you the individual exercises in order and a 30 second large countdown screen appears followed by the rest period and onto the next exercise. It's a perfect AP.
Audio cues are clear on this app. Best one I've used so far.

I love this app as a cheerleader and a school student it is hard to workout with a busy schedule. Since it is a seven minute workout it is easy to fit it into my schedule! I use this app every morning and night and I am seeing results as I progress! It allows anyone with busy schedules that still want to workout, workout! I totally recommend this app to everyone even if you can not do some of the exercises there is a wide variety of exercises that can be done. After finding this app I have gotten my gym teacher to do this app with all the students in gym class and I have gotten friends and family members to do this app even of all ages! Been waiting for this app. I had printed out the workout from the NY Times and used a timer which was never ideal. Very well designed. Can workout anytime anywhere with this. Ideal when traveling.
Developer! Please please please don't make the mistake of adding features. Other than very minor big fixes this is a perfect app. The bigger the app the more likely it is to crash!!
Great workout that can fit in anyone's schedule. As a father of four children I have to use my time wisely so my wife and kids have the husband and father they deserve. This workout fits the bill on the days I don't have time for more.
Been working out with the Army for 22+ years and learned a thing or two about fitness in the process. Endured an Army test program in Officer Candidate School in 2001 that was very much like this one and very effective. The app keeps everything in order and perfectly timed. This makes two or three workouts a day easy, effective, and very time manageable. The only addition should be a cartoon of correct form as the exercise begins.
