  • The Best Recipe Organizer

    by Ragweed9

I have added my personal family recipes. Easy to import recipes from other sources. Can save to the Cloud!

  • great...but watch closely

    by paksen71

i love this app cuz i can have my recipe right there without the binders and note pads. but when downloading from the internet it likes to add things together. like the 3 cups of chocolate chips for fudge turned into 4 1/2 because the recipe said 3 cups (1 1/2 bags of chips)! i only make fudge at christmas so i didn't know the recipe by heart...not like its hard

  • Amazing !!!!

    by Mikera2

This is by far the best program of its type I have scanned recipes from various sites, one not even included in the app and it copied and saved it flawlessly. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the lack to add ingredients you are actually using for a more accurate nutritional value which I am a stickler on. Definitely worth buying.

  • Handy app!

    by BlueHarper

Finding this app very useful. We deal with food allergies and blood sugar issues in our household, so I'm always tweaking recipes. This app makes it easy to do that. I love the web browser that's built in with the recipe scan feature. It occasionally imports the wrong text, but that's easy to fix manually. The nutritional info calculator is a must-have for me, and it's easy to use. The only thing I feel is missing is some way to add custom ingredients with their nutritional info.

  • The best app of this kind :)

    by Ladydi-ne

This has everything I was searching for my recipes. It has the nutrition capability that most don't offer, the menus and shopping cart. Plus it's so easy to get recipes off the web. A++++++ thanks for making this app. Also the price of the app is very reasonable. :)

  • Amazing!!

    by mommys3girls

This is the most thought out amazing app for a cookbook! Especially if you count your calories or nutrients.. There are so many pluses about this app and its almost perfect. Just a few additions (iPhone version, maybe a desktop web clipper and some how being able to save photo recipes) would make this app over the top!! Sooooo worth the money! The developer is also quick at responding. Thank you!

  • Hot Pot is Top Notch

    by I'm cook'n

I can't say enough about the customer service for this app. Ask a question; get an answer. At first I struggled with understanding how to use. But customer support kept up with my nagging and I started using it. I have scanned multiple recipes, created a shopping list, made them, rated them, added nutritional information and now have a great start on an awesome cookbook. It's a top notch app.

  • Very smart!

    by db_woodall

I've looked at a lot of recipe managers, and this is the only one I've found that provides nutritional information. It was easy to import my existing cookbook from Living Cookbook, and data entry is logical and quick. It has a lot of smarts built in so that it tries to understand the units of ingredients for use in the nutritional information. Recommended!!!

  • This is it!!

    by Noob_foodie21

So I've been on this healthy lifestyle kick for a few weeks and the longer I maintain it the more I realize it's hard! Exercise and eating well require a lot of planning ahead, especially the cooking part. Committed to sticking with my less processed vegetarian diet, but burnt out on rice, beans and oatmeal 5 days a week, I whipped out my handy dandy iPad and did some research. It took me a few days but after reading numerous reviews and app specs I settled on Hot Pot Recipe Manager. It met all of my primary requirements including, meal planning ability, recipe storage and most importantly, SEAMLESS RECIPE EXTRACTION FROM THE INTERNET!!! No lie, I downloaded the app, opened it and it literally took me less than 1 minute to save a recipe from the web! And I don't mean the app copied the whole page, ads and all. All of the relevant info was extracted (ingredients, cook time, servings, even a picture of the finished dish) and filed it away neatly. Extremely intuitive and user-friendly. I am thrilled with this app so far and can't wait to explore all of its functionality- keep up the great work!

  • Excellent app for Living Cookbook users

Beatiful images, no-hassle recipe import, easy to use. Responsive developers.

  • So easy to use...

    by The Artful Baker

This is a really good app...importing recipes from websites is so easy!

  • Love It!

    by Mazz2011

I have to say, I've been looking for iPad Apps from both DVO's Cookin' and Living Cookbook. Both have promised Apps "Coming Soon" for what seems like forever, with nothing to show for it. Thanks to a person in Living Cookbook's forum, they recommended Hot Pot. I downloaded the App for my iPad and was able to successfully download all my Living Cookbook recipes without a hitch. Thank you so much for a fine product. Now I can FINALLY carry all my recipes on my iPad. Great job .... thank you again!

  • Great App for Recipes!!

    by JeffOst

I have been on the lookout for a great recipe app that can import Living Cookbook files and have finally found it. It also imports recipe very easily from various websites. I am so looking forward to the future enhancement as this app can only get even better!

  • Great App!

    by Jmw401

I have used Living Cookbook for many years now, but wanted an app that could easily transfer recipes to my iPad & display them in an attractive format. I also wanted the recipes to be well organized & easy to find. This app does all this. Importing recipes is quite easy and although I initially had a few questions, tech support was really responsive. If you have any problems using the app, do not hesitate to contact them. I also tried the scanning feature to obtain recipes from websites & this feature also works well. So far, I am very pleased with this app. Thank you for developing an app that works so well with Living Cookbook.

  • Love it!

This is the perfect app for organizing your recipes. Importing recipes from websites couldn't be easier. It's a snap! I would recommend this app to anyone.

  • Super useful

    by HateUniqueNickNames

This app is super useful in the kitchen and for shopping/planning meals. It was very easy to copy recipes from the web. Nearly all cooking sites I tried worked and the recipes end up in the app. I really like how I can browse my favorite food sites and end up with the simple and easy to use recipes right in the kitchen. The recipes are all in a consistent and clean format. You can adjust the ingredient lists for the number of people you are serving, which is just awesome. You can use it hands-free while you are cooking by stepping through instructions with voice commands. There's a free companion app on the iPhone "Hotpot Shopper" which means my shopping list is always in my pocket. This is a great app for serious or casual cooks. Cook on!

  • Strange

    by Packnut1172

This app seemed good from description, however, adding recipes in is not easy from website. Lists ingredients all on one line if from a website not on their list (tasteofhome) which makes viewing terrible. Editing is something I still can't figure out. Wasting my time trying to muster through. Wasted money on my part. Don't let app description fool you.
