Currently Double-Featured by APPLE on iTUNES under APP ESSENTIALS (more than 6 months) AND now also under Party Planner!

*** LA Times Review: "Explore American craft beers with this crafty app. I immediately looked up Allagash Tripel Reserve and found detailed info and tasting notes, including the recommended serving temp (40 to 50 degrees)... And it costs less than a few sips of beer."

*** Men's Health - Best Apps for Men - 25 Best iPhone Apps!

*** APPOLICIOUS: "This new beer app is beautifully designed and tells you everything you want to know about American crafted beers. From location to styles of beers look up that esoteric brew you're enjoying and become a true connoisseur!"

*** GIZMODO: "There's a lot of good craft beer out there. An overwhelming amount, really! Thankfully there's the stylish new Craft Beer App that has descriptions of different brews, pairings with various foods, and the ability to rate your favorites. App responsibly!"

*** LIQUIDA: "This must be guy’s weekend. First the Victoria’s Secret App for the iPad, now the Craft Beer for the iPhone . Craft Beer App gives users access to “substantive beer descriptions”, not to mention the “ability to rate beers, post notes, view community opinions on each beer and choose favorites”. Also included is food pairing recommendations as well as regional and heritage information. Just think of this as a beer encyclopedia, with benefits."

*** Special thank you to Z100 in NYC for the Friday Sep 8 morning plug.

  • Database too small

    by Mmb10r

This app is good for finding a new beer; but crap for storing a reminder of a beer you really enjoyed. If its not in their database, there's no way to add. So drink common brews and you'll be gone... :/

  • class beer app wow

    by hungerrgamez

lots of sweet features, maybe needs one or two more obscure beers for the hyper geeks, but it's got a lot in there & very well organized - more than worth the buck and the content updates automatically which is cool

  • Doesn't meet my needs

    by Donncon

Recently watched a documentary called "Beer Wars" and was surprises to learn how many varieties were actually owned by the big 3 brewers. They pose an unfair fight and questionable tactics against the small brew houses. I was looking for an app to simply help me support small brewers when in the beer isle. This is not that app.

  • A delicious app

    by Thesosh

I dont know of a more mature interface for an app. One of the best craft beer apps, I really love the food pairing option, the ability to choose light or dark beer, and the geo tagging map. Nice job!!

  • Love beer? Love this app!

    by ColoradoCard

Very informative, fun app. I wish it had submission options to update with the database of amazing brews featured. Great features like being able to listen to current CCBR broadcasts and food pairings. Love the seasonals section.

  • I like beer...

    by SEAN WARE

And this app fuels my appetite. Pretty decent little app. Looking forward to trying some of the regional beers around me. The food pairing is pretty cool too.

  • Cheers!

    by PjHull

An essential app for any "beer snob"! Find your favorite beers! Rate 'em! Sort by any category! Easy interface! Well worth the $.99!! Go!!Go!!Go!!

  • Awesome

    by Boulder Cyclist

This app is one of the best I've seen!! It's a lot of fun!!

  • Just got it and love it...

    by kevinunderwood

Nice job! Got referred to this app by my bro-in-law and have really enjoyed using it so far…captured a few favorites already for future access, did a bit of exploring and even listen to one of the recent pod casts. This is a keeper!

  • Awesome

    by BadassEm

Love the food pairing aspect... Will use this everywhere !!!!

  • Thebigmonty

    by devyn

Finally an app that helps me find my favorite crafts. Love the color and season options. Can't believe someone is adding and updating. Nice work!

  • Love love love

    by Paigeloren

The food pairing feature is so sweet. Loving the fact that I can locate the craft and pair the perfect type of food.

  • Awesome app

    by Golbisson

Great interface and easy to use. Love the brewery videos and podcasts. Can't wait to use it on an upcoming Colorado trip!!

  • Sweet beer app

    by David 98776

Using it now with friends to pair some craft beer with food, very cool!

  • Excellent app for craft brew fans

    by bthomas77

Easy, fast, intuitive interface. Best brew related app I've used so far. Well worth the .99 cents.

  • Pretty slick

    by Matthew Shearer

Really cool app, the only thing I would love to see is the ability for users to add beers, breweries, and other content.

  • Great App!

    by Joshua McCann

If you're into craft beer, you need this app. Lots of good information. The explore by region feature is cool because you can find beers in your area.

  • Must have app if you love craft beer!

    by Vandutch23

  • Über useful

    by Kbcamp

Love this app especially the map feature. The diff pins represent diff types of locations which is a helpful feature. Also like listening to the podcasts occasionally...great price for all the functions.

  • Already Put to Use

    by HammerTime27

Somebody is actually going through the process of cataloging all the beers? Thank you! already found this useful and entertaining with a crowd

  • Not even updated anymore

    by agarlich

I wish the developers would remove this app since it's completely useless and hasn't been updated in over a year. I take some blame for not doing the research or seeing the last version update was 2011. Still, annoying that they would even leave this in the App Store. Enjoy my 99 cents fools.

  • Needs an Update!

    by LokiLovr

This app hasn't been updated in almost 2 years. Ma y breweries that have opened since then aren't on the list.

  • What does it do?

    by palmpilot too

I bought it because it was cheap and because a local tavern "partners with" it. But I can't tell what use it is. Everything I tap -- Pairings, Season, Region, Color -- just leads to an alphabetically sorted list of beers that match that criterion... as though 312 is always a more interesting match than Zonker Stout. And if a beer isn't in the list, then I guess it isn't worth knowing about. I can't imagine why I'd open this app instead of BeerAdvocate's web site, which has more, and more interesting, information. The parts of the app that don't lead to a filtered list of beer names seem to be built with embedded browsers (so again, just use a browser) ... and the featured blog content, on the day I got the app, was 6 months old.

  • Are you kidding me?

    by Hamon Family

Where are the great breweries in Michigan? Bell's, New Holland, North Peak.....

  • Meh

    by MamaBear2303

    Nothing new

  • OK. Database is lacking.

    by bigjim_

Interface is ok so it's got possibilities by the database is small. Untappd regularly has brews I can't find with this app. The beauty of checkins is a socially curated database.

  • Nothing found

    by Ken_in_Brooklyn

Nice app, but hardly anything I search for is found, and even bigger breweries show up with a small amount of beers, when they have tons in reality. So I never use the app.

  • Hilariously useless

    by 1KoolMoFo

I NEVER write reviews but I had to. Ive had this app for like a year now and I've tried to use it many times and not one time has it ever recognizeed the beer I ask it to review. At this point it's more interesting to see what beers it doesn't know! Lol ... Useless

  • Useless For Me!

    by BookWiz

I wanted to find craft beer breweries near me, and for this purpose the application is completely useless. Database is very limited and when I search on a brewery by name, it will occasionally find it, but if I click "Find Beer Near Me" button, it shows me where to buy beer from this brewery. It needs a Find Brewery Near Me function. My Bad!

  • Half Glass Full

    by Jentaro

Missing tons of popular brews in Chicago. No way to add or suggest drafts.

  • Bad app! Not updated!

    by Brew prophet

This app is so outdated! Missing so many craft beers. Needs updating and continuous updating! Search function constantly coming up no results on everything at the store. Also, need to be able to search brewery! Very, very disappointed! I want my $99 back!

  • Missing lots of beers

    by scotttroyer

Very sparse database = not very useful.

  • What a piece of junk

    by Christian Bloch

Poorly designed, laughably small and incorrect database, poor usability. And low-res graphics everywhere. And the location feature is useless. Massively disappointed.

  • Incomplete

    by Fellcolor

The database is missing big, obvious craft brews- they've got the rare (if legendary) 3F Dark Lord, but are missing the more common Alpha King and Pride and Joy. Or Great Lakes' Edmund Fitzgerald. z

  • Love it!

    by Ironmaiden3

Full of info. Love the videos in this technical yet beautifully designed app.

  • Craft Beer App

    by Brett Stapleton

Great app easy to use. Plenty of great info!!!

  • Where's the Beer?

    by Still Thirsty in PA

Forgot I had this app after downloading months ago and testing at a few pubs to get info on select beers on large menu...wasn't able to find any and some were recognizable breweries. Just checked to see if any more after update. Still looks the same. Put your 99 cents towards your next draft instead.

  • Inadequate database

    by imamac&pc

I (sadly) purchased this app so that I could look up info on new beers while out to dinner, and make a decision on what to have with my meal. While there are many beers in the database, the majority of beers I searched for did not come up. Not just obscure beers, common beers from widely distributed brewers (Bells). I've had better luck from the website Beer Advocate. Don't spend your money on this one.

  • Not What I Was Hoping For...

    by WildBillKelso

If you want to locate pubs and craft beers along with the obligatory "ratings" & "cataloging" functions, I would recommend the Find Craft Beer app. It is a lot like the Yelp of brew pubs. This app isn't worth the $.99 they want you to pay.

  • Still growing

    by pandapaulie

I downloaded this app with the intention of getting some ideas for new craft beers to try. Sadly, it was missing some of the key beers that I'm a fan of, so I emailed the company and they were very responsive. Cataloging and describing the incredibly vast amount of craft beers in the US is a daunting task, but they're still hard at work trying to build out their database. The artwork is still legacy (read: no retina support yet)--not a killer, but enough to detract from the otherwise edgy yet refined aesthetic. I like the color palette, and I like the overall UI, but it just needs some updating. Overall, great stuff, looking forward to even more!

  • PlinyTheMiddleAger

    by BeerGeektheElder

Fantastic app to find new brews from across the country. Great when you travel and want to find regional and hard to find beers. Video feature and in app GPS are really what sets this app apart from the rest. Truly a beer aficionados guide!

  • Disappointing

    by DennisM99

I have dozens and dozens of apps and within a few minutes I'll know if an app is any good. I don't know where to start with this app. It has nothing appealing. I searched for a beer brand Southern Tier and it found 3 names. Thats poor. The navigation is poor. I asked it to search for craft beer near me and it returned nothing. 99c wasted.

  • crazy cool beer app

    by Crazy Sarah28

love this app, very professional design (doesn't have that cheap beer app feeling), good reviews and cool brewery location feature. even has Fullsteam Brewery from my hometown in Durham, NC, but I'd like to see a few more beers from my region... get this app though, it's definitely solid and they update it.

  • Nearly worthless

    by MetalsK

This app is nearly worthless. I've pulled it out at a local bar to check out some of the 75 beers on tap and barely a handful of them were in the data base. Of the major local breweries that I checked, most of their beers included in the data base are seasonal or special run batches from a year or two ago and will never be available again. Several sizable local breweries aren't even included at all. If you want to use this at the bar to help select your next pint, good luck. The data base is too small and out of date.

  • I love beer

    by charlie from philly

This app is awesome except for the glaring omission of a ton of great breweries. They need to get it together. Worst case they should have an "add a brewery" section

  • Informative, fun and useful - something I can

    by gulture

There is so much great stuff in this update, I don't know where to begin... The location feature alone should be enough to have you buy it, but they have also added streamed videos from some brewers and the new social sharing aspects are great. The maps of the closest breweries alone is worth the price. It's entertaining as well as having great details about all the beers. Great job!

  • Ehhh

    by Trevor Tyler

Good idea in practice but lacking a huge amount of craft beers. If you live in southern california go to a Eureka! Burger if you want to drink/learn about great craft beers. Don't rely on this mediocre app

  • Not quite there yet..

    by oarfan135

Great idea, which adds the third star. Needs a better search option where you can search by state, and a much larger database. Seems like many good beers aren't in the app.

  • Pathetic

    by SeattleJohnS

What a waste of time and money. This app doesn't know about most of the good beer in the western states. Don't bother with this until their database is up to date.

  • Won't Download

    by swamptater

I was really looking forward to trying this app - especially on our road trip. But, it won't download to my phone despite following all of the trouble-shooting steps offered by iTunes. Unfortunately, there's no level of support beyond that. So, in short, I blew 99 cents for an app I can't access. I'm sure it's great,
