Having used a full-fledged computer program to do this for a while, the first time we sat back down at a table without computer access, notes had to be jotted down and initiative modifiers and dice... and it became cumbersome. With iNit, simply load your players' initiative mods, the monsters' (you can even keep track of hp if you like) mods and hit 'New Encounter.' It rolls a d20+ init mod for each person in the tracker, with the top of the round in blue. Never hassle with actual pen and paper again!
